    7/31/24 11:00am -my 2009 **** Flex was delivered to Central Ave Auto I received a call about an hour diagnostic which the *** representative had mentioned. I understood and let the person know its got some random issues that are already known and told them to take their time. Toward the end of the day I had not received any quotes or diagnostic information only when I called for an update was I made aware verbally of the transmission slipping an issue I am very aware of. At that point I let the associate know I could leave it overnight and they can get me a quote later that evening or the next morning. By 8/1/24 12:30pm I called and spoke with ****** that I had arranged a friend to pick the car up. I had still not received any official quotes or talk of any charges whatsoever. 8/1/24 1:30pm my friend called to let me know I had to pay 180$ for diagnostic service which had never been stated to me verbally, electronically or even in a text or email. This was nowhere near a full diagnostic I just paid for one that was cheaper and incredibly thorough at *******************. I had never signed, stated nor agreed to pay for any 60 minute diagnostic. I was in shock. I understand there may have been costs associated but that was not *** liability to explain such costs. This was Central Ave Automotive and they did not let me know about any charges or fees of any kind until it was time for pick up. At that point I received my first ever text message and email regarding pricing and findings. I had made a request to speak to the manager and they let me know I can pay it or they wont release my car. This should have been a trustworthy experience and I will forever remember and make sure I communicate the disappointing experience I had here today.

    Do not go to Central Avenue Automotive Inc. My sister took her 09 Dodge Avenger here to get a complete Multi-Point Inspection and diagnosis for the issues that needed to be fixed. She received the Multi-Point Inspection list back on 04/05/24 and gave them authorization to fix what was needed the most to get the vehicle operating. After my sister received her vehicle back on 04/10/24, the vehicle started having further engine problems on 04/11/24 when smoke started coming out of the back exhaust pipe, and the engine began acting like it wanted to die. She contacted the shop that day on 04/11/24 to explain the issues and dropped the vehicle back off to the shop on 04/12/24. Later that day, she was informed on 04/12/24 that the technician found a diagnostic code stored, indicating that the ***************** System + Circuitry needed to be replaced. This is an additional $1350 - $1500 to what she has already spent on the engine. We have now been attempting to email Management to ask in detail why this issue wasnt discovered when the complete Multi-Point Inspection was ordered, but they have been ignoring my Sister. When you contact the front desk to ask if management has received the email, they will inform you that they have, but when they respond is up to them. They will respond immediately when you are generating revenue, but when it comes to correcting their mistakes, they will not respond at all. We are now in the process of putting the documents together for a small claims lawsuit while we wait another day or so for Management to respond.
