      I have used ****** before but this time was very unsatisfactory. I brought the car in for an oil change and muffler inspection because of the loud noise it was making. They provided me with a $5k list of items that needed attention according to them. We settled on a $1800 budget but what I got for the end cost is not what I consider a fair deal.The communication was not there either. I inquired multiple times about the muffler and received no response. There was no mention of it on the receipt or verbally. After getting my car back the muffler noise is even louder and for some reason there is a new noise when I accelerate. This is not what I consider professional work.I submitted my concerns to ****** before posting this review but never heard back. The search continues for a reliable auto shop.UPDATE 7/3/2025 After posting my review, I received a call from a manager and he confirmed a hole was found in the muffler but was not considered as serious as the other items they wanted to perform. I was previously told by a customer *** that if they found a hole they could patch it up for free but that did not happen. The manager apologized for the miscommunication and told me I could bring the car in for inspection anytime. I came in for an oil change and muffler fix; the muffler was not fixed. SMH Half-star

      I was using Greg's Japanese Auto in ******, ** off of *********** for the first time. I like to use businesses in my neighbor/community. I was also using a 15% coupon provided by ******. The appointment was for an oil change, air filter, a 2 other fluids. My complaint is the amount of labor that was charged for this service. $400.00. They had my car for close to 5 hours and when I called to see why it had been so long. I was told, we only have one mechanic. I am a Black woman and Senior Citizen that was taken advantage of and over charged. I would like to be refunded $200 of the $400 that was paid.

      They had a promotion for oil change for ***** so scheduled for my friend and when my friend arrived he said he had an appointment for oil change. He thought he would be getting the $***** oil change. they never asked which oil change he wanted and charged him $94.00 for full synthetic even though they had advertised a coupon for about $48.99 for full service. I called **** and asked him to honor the $48.99 price, even though initially we wanted the $***** oil change. **** refused to credit ** back for the overcharge and **** said he would have given him the $48.99 price if he had mentioned coupon. i am very unhappy with **** and this company and his customer ********************** is terrible.

      This Business has changed their business model. On two separate occasions once at this location and once at their ******** location I made appointments for services only to be told upon arrival that I had a four wait They have a first come first serve walk in policy. Leaving the question, why set appointments if youre not going to honor the appointment time?

      I use to own a ****** and would attempt to take my car here for a simple oil change. Every time I went in to get serviced, they would: Lie to me about fixes and breaks. Take advantage of me because I was female and upsell unnecessary fixes. Show me the same rat chewed wires over and over again which is a scam they use on clients. I swear they broke some stuff while fixing because I checked before I went and then they said some parts were broken. Not sure if it was a lie or intention but it happened. They harassed me about a few "important fixes" I told them I would get quotes from other shops. They yelled at me to stay as it was not "safe" to drive the car. The shop I was going to was but 10 min away anyways. *************** I took it to said they were lying and actually called them and told them to stop it. The shop cleaned up all the garbage they broke and fixed free of charge. Which was nice because the new location (*********** in renton) won me over as a long term client. I can not tell you the countless times I've seen clients taken advantage of at the renton location on sunset blvd. These people are scam artists and don't hesitate to break or cause damage to vehicles to get more $$$ out of clients. The owner at the renton location has nothing better to do but make sure they get 5 star ****** reviews. He often gets his way of requesting clients to remove their one star reviews. I beg of you do not take your car to ******* Japanese Auto. I highly suggest the dealership your car came from or I'd also suggest *********** in renton as well. ******* lost our business back in 2015 for the lies and scams they pulled on us. It doesn't sound like it's a one time occurrence with other reviews on reputable websites.

      Took my daughters vehicle in for a brake inspection on Dec 15 2022. They said the rear brakes needed to be done quoted me $1580 I told them that was to much then he said he could give me a better deal and said $1148 I declined getting the work done. Saturday comes I wanted to look at the brakes myself took the passenger rear tire off and noticed a lug nut missing then im looking at the caliper and also noticed a bolt missing of the sliding pin for the caliper their still 80% pad left .This is my daughter car.I don't now what they got going on over their but these people are playing with peoples lives something bad could of happened if I did not look at the brakes myself and let my daughter drive like that, Im furious and disgusted with this place..

      Quoted for a brake repair the car did NOT need!I think ****'s in ****** is under new ownership / management. We have trusted them for years, but they suggested we get a replacement of front brakes and calipers, saying they were worn. Took the car to ******************* for a competing bid, and their mechanics said the brakes were fine -- almost new!!Breaks my heart, we have trusted ****'s for years but this is totally unacceptable. I will have to research if any other ****'s shops are also now untrustworthy.Can't think of any legitimate excuse for wanting us to do most of a thousand bucks worth of repairs without any reason.
