      Towed our 2013 Dodge Durango Rt to ******* Dodge, Chrysler on June 30,2022. The car had cylinder #7 misfiring and right side lifter noise. They advised all lifters and camshafts be replaced. They were also to repair front brakes.. Cost pd $9,263.60. Received car back after three weeks. Car was running rough and brakes seeking badly. We stopped by an auto repair who checked noise and advised getting it back to dealership, noise was coming from the engine. Now they have had our car for more than a week, no update .So we went to dealership yesterday to be told that our car now needs more lifter work costing another 10k!! And that our back brakes now need replaced, down to rotors?? The original paperwork states they replaced all lifters and camshafts. I feel we are being scammed. Unfortunately, this is our only car. So today I am having my car towed home and returning the loaner car. They need to be held accountable. We are now faced with taking our vehicle to someone else and paying for another significant repair because of their failure to fix our vehicle. As retirees, this is a big blow financially. I dont want anyone else to suffer from their poor business practices.

      RE:  **********************;

      Dear BBB,

      I am the General Manager of CJOK, **** d/b/a Rairdons of Kirkland and am writing in response to the complaint submitted by ***********************.

      Our dealership performed repairs to Ms. ******* vehicle and resolved the misfire fault that arose. **************** returned with her vehicle after driving ***** miles and our dealership discovered additional engine issues not present at her first visit. We **** up an estimate for the repairs, and also offered an alternative option of a $10,000 trade allowance toward the purchase of a new vehicle (an amount which would result in a loss to the dealership as it does not factor in all the repairs required for the vehicle).

      I have reviewed our records and I see no indication of improper or unsound repairs. Unfortunately, the vehicle requires expensive repairs which are not covered under any warranty; I dont believe there was any wrongdoing on the dealerships part. As a gesture of goodwill, we would be willing to perform the necessary repairs and provide labor free of charge, the total for said repairs would be $6,100. We are ready and willing to assist **************** with her vehicle if she wishes.

      Please contact me if you have any questions or if additional information is required.

      Thank you,

      ***********************
      General Manager

      I am rejecting this response because:

      None of what was written by *********************** was factual. We had our vehicle towed to the dealership at the end

      of June. We had already had the vehicle diagnosis of misfiring and lifter failure. We informed dealership of this and agreed to repairs. When we received vehicle back July 18th it was running rough and we went to dealship and requested a loaner as we didnt feel safe driving it. We spoke with the mechanic and he stated at that time after listening to the vehicle that he had not replaced all lifters, only uppers even though we had paid $******.- He said it sounded like a lifter had collapsed or failed. We agreed they would inspect and fix issue. We had a loaner car four times in total. Only after we came in the final time did they offer

      Option of trade in and it was $7,000. Not $******.-

      *************** told us that to fix our vehicle would be an additional $10k . We had our vehicle towed home.

      They should have replaced the engine with a new one, three other mechanic s have told us that would be standard best practices.

      we are painfully aware this is not how Rairdons operates. We were scammed and misled at every step and I want restitution. Our vehicle was left undrivable. We signed a contract for the services to be performed and they were not done in a satisfactory manner. We are out ****** .- This was breach of contract, we trusted them.

      The fact that *************** states he would be willing to perform necessary repairs labor free is a joke. Why would anybody in their right mind trust this dealership after an experience like ours?

      Sincerely,

      ***********************
