After our kitchen fire they explained that they would pack up our house because of smoke damage and send off the good items to be cleaned and the unsalvageable items would be thrown away. We were quoted 2 weeks to pack it up it took 3 months and they never finished. They put all of my things from my house in a trailer and left it parked on my property for the three months. During this time they had 2 of the people who were the lead contact quit the company and they forgot about us. They broke several of out items some are antiques and the tile leading out of the front door. They want to charge me ****** dollars for the work they did which was just to pack up all my items in my house and put them in a trailer so I couldn't live in my house. And then just to turn around and dump the boxes in my house 3 months later. Very unprofessional and frankly seems illegal, at the least it is morally wrong.

This is the first notification I have received but perhaps *** has received something else.
I have been in communication with the Kings. There were a couple of key people that were out of the office when ************* first notified myself. Because I did not have any knowledge of the job I asked that we wait for the people to get back into the office. When I called her back, they were on vacation in ******. I will be calling them this week. However, the time frame she is speaking of is not correct and we did attempt to reach out, but I will agree we should have been in contact sooner after we had a manager leave the company. As for the broken items, she told me they would send a list and pictures but we have yet to receive anything. We did bring the contents back in the house after being asked to. I cannot resolve the issue of what is broken if we don't know all the items, if they are repairable, the value, etc.
Can you give me direction as to where this is supposed to be addressed with BBB?
