      Cascade Natural Gas is stealing a basic service charge($5.32 for residential $13.83 for commercial) every time they switch an account from tenant to landlord or landlord to tenant. Charging both parties the service charges for the same month.

      Per Cascade Natural **** approved tariffs, the Basic Service Charge is the minimum charge for each customer bill, regardless of whether the bill cycle is for a month or a partial month. As stated in the tariff, [t]he minimum bill per month shall be the basic service charge. The minimum bill for this service shall not be subject to cancellation or reduction for seasonal or temporary periods. The Basic Service Charge covers the fixed costs that the company incurs regardless of whether or not the customer uses ********************** gas, such as the costs associated with generating and mailing a bill.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      Cascade Natural Gas is a monopoly and therefore has no need or desire to be reasonable. In a period of less than 30 days they collected 4 minimum service charges on one address. Multiply this out over the hundreds of thousands of service addresses and the amount they STEAL yearly easily tops millions.

      I moved out of my rental on 03/25/23 and I told them on the 23rd I was moving to set up new service and transfer my account. I told them I needed to cancel the account on my rental as of the 1st. When I went to pay the first bill at my rental it had not been canceled so I called and they said that I needed to request the change and would pull my recording to verify. At this time they say I am responsible for the final bill and th3e 40 despite not having lived at the address for over a month and having requested a cancellation of service. I cannot go with another provider as they own a monopoly in our area. It may be a small sum of money but on principle it needs to be canceled and if need be I will defend my credit score

      *********************** called Customer ********************** on May 9 and spoke with an agent regarding the requested stop date. On the same day the claim was verified and a request was submitted to correct the billing.  The correction was completed on May 10 when the last bill was cancelled and a corrected closing bill was created.  There will be no impact to the credit score.

      I owned a rental in ********** ********** and it was sold on 06/19/2021. After sale, I contacted Cascade Natural Gas by phone and cancelled my account and my Continued Service Agreement. On August 22, 2022 I received a bill in the amount of *****. I called them and they told me that the bill was my responsibility because I had not cancelled my Continued Service Agreement. I advised that I had, and I also cancelled all services after the sale of the property. Again, I received another bill, now for *****. I sent them an email advising them that the property was sold on 06/19/2021, who the new owners were and that I was no longer responsible for any bills for that property.
