      My 7 year old daughter was told last week when we scheduled her ortho appointment that she would get all silver on her top and bottom under anesthesia. They said that I would be with her to hold her hand when she went under and that I would be there when she had woke up, they came out to get her and took her back. I asked if she could take her blanket and they said I could give it to her when they were done and they didn't. They told me to wait in the lobby? I didn't make a big deal about it. Because my daughter was freely going with them, but as I was sitting in the lobby, waiting for her to be done one of the assistants came out and told me to go around to the side door and park there. So I warmed up the car went around to the side door and before that, when I was picking up my stuff from the lobby, I asked that an anesthesiologist, she's not awake, yet, is she and he said yeah, they wake up fast. I was immediately furious, I went to the side door and one of the assistants had opened it. My daughter was laying on a hard bench freezing shivering. Without her mom and it had to be ************** daughter doesn't understand why she doesn't have the silver.They said that she would have, and she doesn't understand why she wasn't there holding my hands, this is completely and unacceptable. We will not be going back to this place again now. I know why they have AF. Rating

      For the last 5 months when I take my daughter in for her ortho appointment we schedule the next one and it never fails I get at least 2 calls a month to reschedule for 2-3 weeks out which pushes off the care that my daughter needs and the care that I am paying for. I have never rescheduled nor have I never not shown up to an appointment. When something is wrong I will be paying more to fix their mistakes for waiting to do the adjustments. I completely understand things come up and thats out of our hands, but i work full time and to keep having to switch my hours and times around my boss isnt wanting to work with me on changing times around anymore. On top of the fact I dont want to be held financially responsible when her teeth are not adjusting properly because of waiting. When Im being called Im getting no form of understanding or explanation just thats that sorry nothing we can do. Very rude and disrespectful calls with attitude that I definitely dont understand why directed at me. Im not asking something be done free of charge either. They are being paid each and every appointment. I do know if I had to reschedule this much or not show up some where there would definitely let me know that its unacceptable.Id appreciate some responsibility be taken and just stop with the constant cancellations.

      I am responding to Complaint #******** on behalf of Apple Valley Dental and Braces. The subject of the customer's complaint is the rescheduling of her daughter's orthodontic appointments.

       

      We strive to keep consistent schedules, however we had an unexpected change in Orthodontists earlier this year. While we were very thankful that a temporary Orthodontist was able to provide services to our patients, the availability of this doctor was different than that of the previous Orthodontist. This led to rescheduling some appointments (a total of 2 for this customer).

       

      Our fall schedule is set with our new permanent Orthodontist. While unexpected events can occur (i.e. illness), we do not anticipate needing to reschedule any additional visits.

       

      We have contacted the customer directly to explain the situation and to assure her that we will try our best to avoid rescheduling any additional appointments.

      The company policy is that you must confirm you're appoint by 12:00 p.m. on the day you receive the text message asking you to confirm you're appointment. If you do not confirm you're appointment by 12:00 p.m. you're appointment is automatically canceled. Apple Valley Dental is only giving patients 1-2 hours, from the time the text message is received, until the 12:00 p.m. deadline, to confirm the appointment, I'm a working, single mother, and a college student. When I'm at work, I cannot be on my phone. I imagine most employees aren't supposed to be making personal phone calls and text messages during working hours. That's what breaks are for. I'm also a student, and again, if I'm in class, or taking an exam, I can't be on my phone. My phone is in my bag, on silent, during those times so that phone use doesn't disrupt mine or my classmates studies. Because I'm a single mother to three, young, special needs children, and I'm trying to balance employment and college courses, I don't have the luxury of simply rescheduling my appointment at the last minute because I was unable to confirm my appointment within the 1-2 hour window Apple Valley Dental grants it's patients.It makes me question the reason behind the policy, are they double and triple booking patients, hoping one or two won't confirm on time? It makes me worried that they don't take patient care seriously, and are unconcerned about the health and well being of their patients. I've already complained to Apple Valley Dental, and was told they don't know who made the policy, the text message system is automatic, and there is nothing to be done. They offered to preemptively mark me as confirmed for my appointments and only send reminders, I accepted the offer, and yet, as my attachments will show, they did not do that. The only reason I was able to confirm my appointment is because my work meeting was canceled today and I was able to start my break earlier then normal.

      I think they destroyed my medical records.discrimination.refusing to help me get my braces put on they just want me to take more X rays I have all my X-rays done!!! Asked to speak to a manager refused several times they refuse to give me the manager/supervisor phone number to call..refusing to give information for a appointment they told me to make to get exam from periodontics
