    I was in the military and I move from ******** to ********** in 2021. I signed up to for a membership in July 2021 at the location in ********. I left ********** March 2022 because I ended up retiring from the military. Before I left I asked for my membership to be canceled at the ******** location. I figure everything was good to go until I notice I got billed the next month and I called the location and they said I would need to send a letter which I did and still nothing happen. I have been billed since March 2022 even after I canceled. I want a refund from that date . I am blocking my card from anymore transactions. I am tired a canceling and nothing happens. Consider this my letter again I want my membership canceled. This is 2025 you shouldn't have to send a letter to cancel a membership. This is a tatic use to keep billing us. This should be illegal this is the only organization that operates this way.

    Hello,

    Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have located the membership for *********** and processed a cancelation. The last attempted payment was on 1/17/2025 and no future attempts will be made. 

    The membership was cancelled with a balance of $143.10 and without proof of cancelation or request, we would be unable to process a refund. We can move forward to waive this balance to allow the member to join without issue at any ** going forward!

    I sent proof of my request to cancel the membership. Not sure why I have to provide proof when I went into the location before I moved. I can only send a letter to cancel my membership which is beyond ridiculous. I will accept the terms of the owner but will be filing a lawsuit because I know I canceled my membership two plus years ago.

    I've tried to cancel the account multiple times since November 2023. Each time I'm met with non compliance and they continue to charge me. I've went in person to cancel, emailed and phoned. Still charging monthly *****

    Hello,

    Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have located the account for K HummelWestcott and confirmed the membership has been cancelled. The membership was cancelled with a remaining balance of $24.28. 

    There are no attempts to cancel on file other than an email from 6/18/2024 requesting to cancel. Per the member agreement, the club must receive written notice prior to the 10th of a month in person or via certified mail. The Club Manager did respond to the email notifying the member how to properly cancel. 

    There are also notes on the account referencing the member wanting to tan, being notified of a balance, wanting to then cancel, but refuse to pay then left on 6/18/2024. 

    We have attached a copy of the members invoice history. We would be unable to provide a refund, but if the members healthcare offers a reimbursement for club dues, this would help!

    I have had a membership with the Puyallup gym on River Rd for two years. I have gone there ONCE. I kept the membership for the first year because of the contract. At the end of the year I tried canceling it, but they insisted I come in. I work as an OTR truck driver and Im out months at a time. Then they said to send them a certified letter requesting they cancel my membership. I find this patently absurd. A phone call is enough. I have tried 6 times over the past year and they refuse to stop STEALING MONEY from my bank account Yes, I consider this theft at this point. I am at the point where I am considering closing my bank account, disrupting my entire life doing so because EVERYTHING in my life goes through that account, but by this point I dont feel like I have any other choice. When told this as my last option to the customer service representative, they told me they will report my account to collections. This is absolute bullying, theft, and a HORRIBLE business model. I dont know how these crooks stay in business. CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP!!! I choose not to do business with you. Period, end of story!

    We have received no communication from this member regarding them wanting to cancel their membership. See attachments for a screenshot of the note section of this Member's account as well as an email that his home club had sent to him regarding a past due balance on 1/15/2022. We have cancelled this member out as of yesterday, 7/18/2023 (see Cancellation notice attached).
