Aamcoo diagnosed is*** with transmission and reccommended a new or rebuilt one.He quoted a new aamco transmission at over $5,000.00 plus labor for work,This price sounded VERRY high so i got price from a ****** dealership just a few miles from his shop. The ****** price was just over $3,000.Aamco agreed he couldnt compete with the ****** price for the transmission.I purchased the new transmission from ****** and aamco installed it .Aamco stated wen i paid bill that he couldnt warrant it since they didnt supply it,I wasnt worried about it since was new and had factory warranty. He knew i was moving out of state and i left abot 5 days later. When i was in ***** the transmission malfunctioned and brpught to aamco in *****.They found it only had less 1/2 quart of oil in it and was ruined,no sign of any leaks.Should have had 4 Quarts in it.It was then brought to local ****** dealership to see who should warranty transmission.****** determined it burnt up due to insufficent oil at installation and couln't warranty.Aamco's are independently owned ***** in Puyalllup claimed he put correct amount of oil in.I have pictures and statement from ***** Aamco and ****** that there was NO oil present on transmission or underside of car from a leak of any kinnd. The car leaks no fluid. Aamco refused to replace transmission,I believe ***** was trying to get the car back in for a service call to make up some money i didnt let him s**** me out of an his over priced transmission,an act of outright sabotage.A act that he knew i would have too *** to resolve.Have read his ratings since then and seen he has done very similar thing to other customers.

    Business Response

********************, thank you for your review.  I appreciate your frustration, however some of your comments are very concerning and misleading.

Your vehicle was delivered July 16, 2021.  Your 10 day check was scheduled for July 26, 2021.   I see no indication you came in to have this performed.  This is extremely important which I will address in this response below.

Your labor only warranty (as you suppled the transmission) expired on July 26, 2022.  This is now 15 months later.  **** has not been with us for 12 months as he moved out of state.  In discussions with both Aamcos in the ***** area, neither have any record of you, your wife or your car.  Please understand, a call to our shop from any Aamco nationwide is mandatory to review any warranty work as they require our paperwork including diagnostic information and our permission to proceed.  None of this was done which brings into question the motivation for your review.  If you have a repair order from Aamco in *****, we would certainly like to review it.

There are ample resources on line regarding transmission runability with less than a quart of oil.  Honestly, the car would likely not shift at all and most probably not capable of getting out of the parking lot.  You may get lucky and drive 10 miles, but I highly doubt it.  But you managed to get to *****?  Almost 500 miles away?  Your statement to the contrary is simply staggering.

If you came in (or gone to any Aamco) for your 10 day check, any anomalies or deficiencies would have been spotted and corrected. If you chose not to have this performed then you put your warranty in jeopardy.  Neither situation lends itself to your claims.  This check is extremely important as most warranty issues, particularly fluid leaks show up in this time.  Its why we include it as part of our service. Its a free, very important and a necessary service.

To review, you had your transmission replaced in July 2021,had or didnt have your ***************************************************** 15 months on less than a quart of oil?  And then you write an extremely slanderous review?  None of this makes any sense.

We are a small business. We work extremely hard to ensure all customers are happy with our services.  We have a great manager, extremely competent techs and most reviews point to this.  Were happy to review any paperwork (and pictures) from ****** or Aamco ***** to determine what could have happened. Please send it at your convenience.
