    For the tax year 2021 I paid for services to be completed. I was owed a refund of $4,158 Federal and $1,581 State. I never received my tax refund. I contacted the *** about said refund that was to be deposited into my account that was listed on my taxes. I checked with my bank and there was no deposit. After filing forms and waiting and going back and forth with *** it was determined that the refund went to another account. The account that the money was sent to is not my account and is not listed on my tax return paper work that I had signed with the preparer upon completion. The *** advised that I made a claim with the BBB as there was nothing they could do. The tax preparer would not help with the issue as they said that they would. They never returned my calls or emails asking for help. They would not give me any type of insurance or bond information to make a claim against their business. I now have paper work from the *** showing the wrong account and account name that the money was deposited into. This is not the account that I had signed for with the tax preparer- the account I signed for lists my correct account name and accurately provided account number that I had signed for the money to be deposited into.

    I believe ************** is saying the account number that was on the return is correct account he wanted his direct deposit to go into. We submitted his return using the account number that is on the return. If we had used a different account number by mistake, that would be the account number that is listed on the return. Once we file the return, we have no control over where the *** deposits the money. I will guarantee you that the account number I have in my software matches the account number on the tax return he has in his possession;

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I have talked to the *** multiple times and they informed me that they do not change or alter any account numbers. They said whatever account numbers are sent by the tax preparer are the numbers that are used and the tax preparer must have sent them the incorrect information. I have tried to ask the tax preparer what account numbers they have used and they couldnt provide them to me because they said they had deleted them. I asked why the account numbers were deleted and I was told that if they were the wrong numbers I didnt want them in my system .  I was once again instructed by the *** to pursue talking to the tax preparer which I did and they had no interest to correct or make this mistake correct.

    I am very sorry this happened to *****. I have no control once the tax return is filed. I do not process the returns; Therefor I have no control over where the money is sent. ***** says that I told him I deleted the bank account we had in the system. I do not recall whether I said that or not, and I am unable to get into that software at this time to verify what if any bank account is stored in ******* file. We only used that software for 2021 only, because it was an unbelievable nightmare. There were countless problems with that product, everything from not actually filing a return, but stating the return had been accepted by the **** to not sending all the required forms. We had two instances where the software didn't send the complete 1040 standard individual tax form. What I do know about ******* information is that in all of my other software it lists the correct account. But regardless of what account was listed on the tax return, the only one able to retrieve ******* refunds are the government agencies that issued them. I recently spoke with *****, and he is supposed to drop some information.at my office and I have initiated a request for help to urge the *** to retrieve or re-issue ******* federal refund. tax year 2021 was a particularly insane year for this office. We were limping by with less than subpar software, Covid was creating all kinds of havoc in this industry. The laws were changing often, the government was giving out "free" money, which always causes fraud and greed needing an abundance of attention and diligence. Plus, countless Tax professional retired or left the industry in pursuit of careers with less human interaction, which multiplied the burden on those of us who remained. I work on average ***** hours a day for the majority of days including weekends since Covid. I had no intention of not answering ******* communication, but for a while there I had no choice because it was impossible to return all the calls. During that time, I would get ***** messages a day requesting a return phone call, and with everything else that was going on I was lucky to have the opportunity to return any calls. Things have simmered down now, and I am working on getting ****** 2021 refunds in his pocket where they belong.

    Lack of Integrity - nearly a hundred emails attempting to get responsive information to complete taxes. My wife paid in full, and they did not file on time with the state. Not responsive. Very very very last minute. Does not return phone calls. Does not return emails. When you get angry because of the lack of responsiveness they insult you or blow you off or say ***** will call and then she never does. We were trying to get my wife's taxes in last minute and called and called and called and finally got ***** on the phone tax day and she said that she was going into elective surgery on tax day. Not sure what to believe.Total lacking due care. She sent me a document to sign saying my taxes were done many months ago. I logged in to my IRS account to find that my taxes have not even been completed for two years. Unprofessional behavior. Lacking in communication. Unethical doubling of my tax bill that was even completed. My state taxes were not even filed for two years she forgot until a couple of months ago. Waiting to see what fines and penalties accrue from *****'s fraud and misrepresentation. Taxes STILL NOT COMPLETE after HUNDREDS OF CALLS TO HER OFFICE. They hold people hostage through non communication. There are dozens of horrific reviews about this business please revoke their license.

    I would like to add this to the complaint that I have filed on line. 

     

    • ***** is lying when she says that the reason I did not get my taxes done is because I did not sign something. Please kindly look below at the dozens of emails begging her and her staff to respond. 

     

    • the document that she sent saying I declined service is fraud and misrepresentation. 

     

    • ***** has an extensive criminal history and I would kindly like for you staff to look a little deeper into the dozens of similar complaints. 

     

    • I did send some emails that could be characterized as abusive but how would you feel if a business was destroying your finances? I do not apologize for one word. Shes a liar and a criminal. My credit score is over 800, I am an A+ student and pride myself in my responsibilities. 

     

    • Her rap sheet is included below. Seems that given her current complaints both on Yelp and ****** and my complaint that she should DEFINITELY not be allowed to be BBB

    *********** has been nothing short of abusive, and the abuse seems to get worse if you ignore him. I do not feel as though anybody deserves to be treated in such a manner. Once I realized he wasn't interested in an adult conversation, he was only interested in yelling and screaming like a child. It didn't matter who he spoke to from this office, he would greet them with the same abusive behavior. Once it was clear he didn't want to resolve anything, he only wanted to be abusive, I gave instructions that no one was to answer the phone for ***********************, His rants were beyond frustration, they were often unfounded and extremely abusive.

    This all started when he sent in his organizer, but failed to answer any of the questions other than the personal questions such as name, SSN, current address, etc.(please see attached redacted organizer) No other documentation was received at this time from ************. He called a few weeks later to inquire about his taxes. When he was told we had no information to complete the tax return, he got very angry and started yelling abusively. He states in the organizer that he sent that he has investment income but he failed to send any of the forms issued for his investment account. *********** has been in business for himself for years, but did not include any information regarding income or expenses for his business.As a courtesy, I filed an extension for **************** business, eventually he calmed down and I was able to talk to him. I explained what information I needed and he promised to get me that information. Around September 1st, 2 weeks before the September 15 deadline for S-Corporations, I called to let ******* know that I still hadn't received anything from his bookkeeper in regards to the business numbers. At that time ******* thanked me for letting him know and said he would talk to her. On September 14th, I finally received most of the information I needed. I completed the returns as quickly as I possibly could.Once the tax returns were complete I created an invoice for services rendered. While do so I noticed that ******* hadn't paid for the previous year's tax preparation and other services he had requested from our office, so I send a statement with all the charges. *********** argued because the fee was larger than the previous year, and he is correct. My overhead has also skyrocketed, I had to raise my prices. Not to mention the time spent to prepare the returns for tax year 2021 was also greater than the year before. When requests were made to ******* for payment of services rendered and signatures, *********** not only refused but ever since that time his behavior has been nothing short of abusive. I have additional documentation if you are interested.

    It is standard operating procedure for any business to be paid for the work preformed before product is delivered. *********** also owns a business so he knows this is true.

    I will have my girls also respond to this complaint with their experiences

    My wife paid IN FULL, then called back and found that her taxes were not filed. The nightmare experience with this company cannot even be explained fully. A form of hostage taking no communication until the last minute. 

    I didn't pay this psycopath because with power of attorney and fiduciary duty to do so she DID NOT RESPOND NOR FOLLOW THR0UGH WITH. SERVICES LIKE THE DOZENS OF OTHER CLIENTS SHE HAS DESTROYED. 

    Both my wife and I called and called and called and emailed (see the multitude of unanswered emails to this criminal that were unanswered. 

    ***** is a LIAR and full of s*** and now is participating in white collar crime.
