These people (In *******) charged my Grandson $375 for a "drop fee" after they showed up to tow his car. My Grandson had never been to this apartment complex before and wasn't sure where he could or couldn't park being just a friend of the person who lives there. He comes out of the apartment and finds a Patriot towing truck backed up to tow his car directly behind him. Patriot towing had just arrived and he wasn't even hooked up yet. There was no "drop" needed.Regardless the driver of the tow truck said he wouldn't let him leave to re-park his car until he paid the $375.00. These people are crooks and were telling everybody and I mean everybody about this experience. There were 4 other people who will testify when we take them to small claims court.

On June 27 2023 we called for a tow, and it took three hours for them to come and get our car. We let our mechanic know at auto works that the car was coming to them. ******** said that no one will be there but go ahead and drop it off cause it's after hours and to put the key in the night box. Then on July 3 2023 we called my auto works, and the mechanic said there was no car there, so then we reached out to Patriot Towing to see where our car was and they said that the car had been in their storage for the last seven days and no one attempted to even reach out to us, It's just been sitting in their storage and no one ever contacted us via phone or anything all through email until day 14 when we called them. So then on day seven they claimed that we owed almost $600 also, they claim they called our insurance company and stated that they couldn't drop it off at an unsecured location and after threatening to call the authorities to show up, they said they would drop all storage fees and they would finally tow it to our house but we would have to pay $120 in CASH only. So then we just reached out to our insurance company and they are willing to get it for us.

Roadside Assistance sent Patriot Towing through our insurance, Safeco. The order was to tow the car to our mechanic (we've had several cars towed to them after hours over the course of the past 20 years, never a problem). Instead, they towed the car to their impound lot and will not release it until insurance or we pay for impound costs stating 'it was not safe to leave the car at that location' but giving no particular reason. There a many similar complaints on ****** about them diverting delivery of customer cars and that is why I am writing this to you. The tow to the mechanic was $80. Now they are asking for $260. $80 to tow to their impound lot, $50 ($100 total) a night for storage (yesterday was a holiday and we were not aware it was not at our mechanic until this morning, two nights later). And another $80 to tow the car to our mechanic. Our insurance paid for the additional charges. The tow company hung up on me numerous times as I asked why they took the car, what the additional charges were and how can we get our car back. She would not answer my questions instead hung up when I repeated them. It took roadside assistance numerous contact before Patriot Towing finally scheduled the tow to the correct location.

Patriot was the tow provider that responded to my roadside assistance request. My car wouldn't start & was in my driveway. They were late & continued to postpone/update the **** The dispatcher did not provide the driver the correct drop-off address (dealership), but instead provided the ************* that the dealership was on. The driver drove the vehicle to the destination given by the dispatcher, an intersection in the street of the dealership, & instead of calling the roadside provider or me (insurance holder) they turned around, towed it out of ******** across state lines, & put it in storage. They did not inform the roadside assistance provider, or me, that it was not delivered & placed in storage. I was unaware until I called the dealership the following morning to confirm receipt- who indicated "it hadn't arrived" & didn't know what to tell me. I called *************************** indicated it was in storage & that I'd have to call my roadside assistance provider to coordinate it getting out of storage and delivered to the correct place - the dealership that I originally requested it be sent to. After days of dealing with my roadside provider & then dealing with the tow company - the roadside provided went to pay the tow, jump, and storage fees to have it released and towed to the correct location. THEN Patriot Towing refused to release my vehicle & demanded more money. It was referred to me as a "hostage vehicle situation" and that the authorities should be involved. My roadside assistance provider paid it to get it off the lot and out if their hands. Again, Patriot Towing continued to prolong the pick up time- pushing it hour by hour. The tie off their lot, again across state lines, was delayed an entire day! It was t until 3 days after the initial tow request that it was sent to the correct location to be worked on. Dirty, slimy, and corrupt way of doing business. I will never recommend this company to anyone and suggest people seeking a tow stay clear of them.
