just received my **** on april 15th the sole reason for buying was to use it for my cutting boards only to fine out they do not fit in the machine so my thinking was to send it back and upgrade to the pro .... they want to still charge me a restocking fee of ****** plus 99,00 for shipping back to them then they stop calling me back i know have a very expensive paper weight i cant not use . do not waste your hard-earned money on glow forge because they are a sketchy business that just takes your money and doesn't care if you are happy or not ..

My Aunt had a Glowforge and her glass was broken. GLOWFORGE CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLD HER TO GLUE IT!!! And now all she gets is the lid open error. No fix for their technical directions other than buy a whole new machine! BABY AINT NO WAY! ??? Glowforge wont get another ***** from my Aunt and now not from the THOUSANDS of Crafters who follow her DAILY! Id say they should be ashamed but by the BBB complaints this company has, Im sure they dont have an ounce of it! BOOOOOOOOO GLOWFORGE!!!

I would leave zero stars if it were an option. DO NOT buy from this company. Its a total scam. Their customer service is non-existent and is only available via email (which takes days for a response). After reading about how many people have been scammed out of thousands of dollars by this joke of a company, I would never recommend this business!

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!! After the fan blade breaking while doing a routine cleaning following specific instructions on Glowforge website. I got sent a refurbished machine as a result and the refurbished machine LEAKS SMOKE because the lid and front door are not flush with the machine like they are supposed to be! I. AM. SO. MAD.

My Glowforge Pro is 3 years old and currently a paper weight !! I hate you cant pick up the phone and talk to someone . You have to wait for a email . I was in the middle of engraving a cutting board and if completely quit. The machine goes through all the motions but dont do anything . I have cared for this machine took care of it like a baby . I was so upset I paid that much for the machine and for 2 years it breaks . But of course if I paid **** I can send it back for a reburbished . I waited until after Christmas to send another email back in and they told me it went up to ***** cause of everything else going up there prices to did as well . I think this is so wrong !!! And I would like my money back !!! I will not give this company another ***** !!

Glowforge is a scam! If you read through the reviews and complaints you will be absolutely horrified! My glowforge pro cuts where it's not supposed to and doesn't even cut 1/4 inch wood. I had issues cutting through their cherry proof grade material with their proof grade settings as well. A lot of wasted material for a $10,000 machine with their air filter and shipping. If you're hoping to order supplies through the glowforge from ****** the shipping is international ground and averages $128 for 1 piece of proof grade 12 by 20 piece of wood. My machine is only a year and a half old and suddenly the printer head stopped functioning for no apparent reason. Glowforge advised I spend $800 CDN to order a new printer head even though their diagnose of my problem was given after extremely limited investigation into the issue. They also told me it would cost an additional $200 if I did not send them my old printer head. I told them I wouldn't pay it and found another laser machine online. This company seems to be taking everyones new machine and parts and putting them into refurbished machines and just cycling broken machines back and forth to customers so they do not have to do proper quality control and honour warranties. BUYER BEWARE! These are extremely overpriced, do not operate properly, and malfunction.

This company sells you a pipe dream. If you call as a potential customer, who has not given a dime to the company, they will answer the call within seconds. They sell you a dream on this hobby machine, and the potential it can turn into. Customer support for existing customers is no existent. As someone who has had this machine for over 2 years, I have tried contacting support 2 times for issues that put my model out of commission for a few days. I have had more support from people on Etsy and ******** who have been in the same situation, and supply parts that the actual company seems to be sold out of every day. If i am paying $7,000 for a machine, I expect there to be somewhat of customer service by professionals who work on the machine, and not be led to a support forum by other hobbyists. As far as spare parts go, they are overcharging for the bare minimum service level ***** offers (base rate). For example, you purchase 1 cable for $1.99 from glowforge.com, they charge you $25 shipping. From the shipping plant in **********, ** to my location, *****'s base rate is about $11. When asked about why there is so much of a difference in price for shipping and why it is not expedited (even though I am charged as though it is), it is because they "cannot guarantee expedited services to be delivered before base rate services" - so why are you charging for expedited service?

We have never experienced customer service this horrendous!!!We run 2-3 units for our business and have gone through SIX units in 1.5 years! There is NO way to verbally speak with a customer service rep to get help. The only option they currently allow is to send an email and get a crappy automated response. Then you sit and wait for an actual human to send back another crappy automated but personalized response (how kind of them). They sent us refurbished units after our brand new PRO units stopped working and both units arrived damaged. They expect us to happily wait another THREE WEEKS for another two units to arrive. No discount, no sympathy, no help. $34+ million in yearly revenue and they can't splurge on decent customer service to help their customers who literally fund their business? We used to refer friends and family to Glowforge but no longer. They have shown us that they don't care about the customer once the first purchase is made. Do your research and invest in a company that CARES ABOUT THE PEOPLE SPENDING MONEY TO KEEP THEM UP AND RUNNING!
