      CarRentals.com failed to disclose a $1,000 drop off fee on my European rental. The reservation said ALL FEES were INCLUDED in the price to rent in ********** and drop off in ********. They are refusing to refund the fee. So the booking was made under false pretenses.

      Used the online booking to make a reservation 3 weeks in advance for a van for a long weekend. Got a call the day before to tell me that they had no vans available, and non would be returned in time for my reservation. Asked how that could have happened and they just told me they didn't know, but there was no vehicle for me.

      Here I am at the airport trying to get the car rental. They talking about I don't have a reservation. Argue with the customer service rep only to be told because the transaction shows pending, there's no reservations. Nothing. Transaction in my bank pending yet never received a confirmation or denial for the transaction. Purely bait and switch. The bank said funds available though. However, did Received the invoice for auto protection indicating paid and withdrawn from bank. So 3-5 days to get money back. Vacation ruined.

      My daughter Rented a car thru this company.. Supposed to go through Hertz. Showed up to hertz to pick up the vehicle. They refused to rent to her even with a $500 deposit. We both tried to contact carrentals to cancel the transaction. Act of futility. I disputed the transaction with my bank. After 2 months they reversed the dispute in carrentals favor. If someone has information on how I can recover my funds, Id love to hear.

      I rented a car thru carrentals.com over 2 months ago for three weeks , the rental company was europcar, they charged me a deposit and I returned the car in perfect condition and full of gas , I have called europcar several times and they don't respond , so I contacted the carrentals and it's been over a month and still saying they are waiting for europcar to answer, it's unacceptable way of doing business I will have to file a complaint with **** and better business bureau , stay away from this companies

      It appears to be the same here as the others. I prepaid with a debit card to get cheaper rate. The guy at *** car rental would not take my debit card. Somewhere in the small print it says they need credit card. Maybe car rentals.com should not accept debit cards and only accept credit cards like the company's they match you up with? Had credit cars but not on me as I've cut them up, the guy would not accept the numbers from the cars. Eventually went to thrifty and the took $500 deposit and rented a car to me. This is a racket that they have going on. I'd been better off getting on the interstate , roll window down and throw your money out cause that's what carrental.com business is to me.

      SCAM from the start, booked a car through this site, per pay . First they don't tell you who the company until after you pay, they hooked me up with a company that does NOT under any circumstance rent LOCAL. I book this rental to pick up the same day, 30 mins later trying to cancel it for the above reasons was informed that I could cancel up to 24 hours before the pick up a little hard to do when you booked it 1 hour before you wanted the car. The web site is BS cause that make it seem like you can cancel anytime, but then read the fine print and they got you.

      Booked a car (prepaid), flight was delayed but showed up same day to get car. No car available. Car rentals refused to refund money despite providing no service. **************** atrocious.

      Carrentals8.com falsely advertise final booking price for the rental car. Then when you receive the confirmation online you find out there are fees and taxes that carrental8.com did not announce. Then when you try to cancel you find out there's a $75 cancelation fee. Total total false advertising. BBB must let everyone know that on their website they said no hidden costs.

      We went online and paid for a vehicle. Then when we went to pick up the vehicle at routes in ******* ******* we were charged a higher price. We need to pay an extra $500 because we were out of state. We said forget that wed like to cancel our reservation and they said he would need the following proof: the card holder is in the military, a card holder has a serious health condition for the card holders deceased. We set our looking for is a refund back on our money why do we have to provide such information we were not told that at the beginning.
