I paid over $2k for golf cart batteries they have never worked correctly and golf cart is basically not usable now they will not answer the phone and will not respond to emails. There are lots and lots of complaints about themBusiness Response

I have purchased approximately 8 batteries from Dakota Lithium in the past 2 years and I have 1- 24v 50ah battery that has gone bad and will not take a charge. I have sent numerous emails to their customer service team and havent received a response and also numerous calls to their number with no one answering. The batteries are warranted for 11 years and I am needing them to honor that warranty and send me a replacement but their customer service is horrendous and I need a resolution. I cant use my trolling motor on my boat due to their lack of response and sending me a warranty replacement. Please help.***************************** ************Business Response

Bought 2 48 volt batteries from dakota batteries in 2021. Supposed to have an 11 year warranty. One battery shows fully charged but doesnt work. Called several times and no one ever answered the phone. Left several voicemails. Have communicated with ***** through email which is hit and miss and usually later in the night when Im asleep or close to going to sleep bc Im on the East coast. Last email said to send battery in for warranty consideration. I cannot find a company to ship the faulty lithium battery back. Dont have a problem with paying for shipping. Asked ***** to set up shipping and I would pay for it. Since I cant find a shipper. Hes disappeared. Communication is very sporadic. Im out ******* I would at least like a pro rated refund if they cannot do the warranty work.Business Response

Order placed for the 36V Dakota Lithium Ion battery. Have yet to receive a shipping notification so we attempted to contact the company by phone several times. The company does not answer and after only about ten seconds on hold the recording states that no one is available to take your call. Voicemails are not answered, emails are not answered. This is a significant purchase at $1800 and we cannot even reach anyone to discuss when the shipment will take place and after doing further research online it appears this is not an isolated incident. The company appears to be a complete fraud and something needs to be done. I am seeking cancellation and full refund and have also disputed the charge with my credit card company for the reasons noted above. This is unacceptable and this company should not have an A+ rating with the BBB. The reviews speak for themselves.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because they fail to mention that you cannot get a live person on the phone. We initially contacted them with concerns about our order due to several complaints on social media about orders never received and inability to reach the company. Multiple attempts were made to contact the business by phone. When you select the option to hold and speak with someone, it puts you on hold for about three seconds and then sends you to voicemail. This happened each time we called (about a dozen times). I can confirm that the order was cancelled and we did receive our refund, but I want to make it very clear that consumers should be significant concerns about this company.

I ordered a set of golf cart batteries on March 29th. I have only received an email stating they accepted payment. Their site claims to contact them if not in receipt of a shipping email within 7 days. I have both emailed **************************************************** and sent it via the website. On 3/31/23 I placed an order for ****v 100Ah Dakota Lithium Batteries for $1,558.00. At that time I also emailed tech support to confirm my charger would work with these batteries. One hour after my purchase I was given a *** tracking number with a 4/5/23 date for delivery. Every day since the purchase I checked the provided tracking number and it stated the *** label was created and no shipping information. I emailed ****************************************************** many times with no response. I called the "sales" phone number provided and was put on hold each time followed by a message to email "sales", which I did 3 times and still no answer.5 days after my first email to tech support I got a generic response to my specific question about my charger and the answer they gave was for a different model charger that I didn't have. I specified the make and model of my charger yet then never read that information.The past 3 days I have attempted to contact Dakota Lithium (emails and phone calls) to cancel my order with no response. I then yesterday (4/4/23 contacted my CC (Chase) to file a dispute for a refund which they issued a temporary credit for the charges. This morning 4/5/23 5:00AM, I received an email update on on my *** tracking number that it has now shipped even after many attempts to cancel the order. I do not want them, I made many attempts to contact Dakota Lithium to cancel my order as it was not or has not shipped for 5 days. I will now refuse the *** delivery and have the batteries returned to the seller. How can a US company like this have no customer service?Business Response

The refund for this order was initiated on 04/06/2023 and has gone through. The order was also intercepted during shipment and was returned to **, and it was not delivered to the customer. On March 16, 2022, I purchased two 12V 100Ah Lithium deep cycle batteries at a total amount of $2,367 under order number DAK-US-******. Due to supply chain issues, I did not receive my new boat until mid-July and quickly had the dealer professionally install the batteries required to run the trolling motor. After using the boat once and testing the trolling motor out for less than 1 hour total, I wrapped up the day and stored the boat as normal.When preparing for my next trip out, I tested the trolling motor and it was no longer working. After doing an extensive search of the plug, the wiring and the connections to the batteries, I could find no loose or damaged connections. At a loss, I brought the boat back to the dealer and had them seek out the issue.The next morning, the dealer informed me that one of the batteries was not functioning and therefore, the trolling motor would not work.After emailing Dakota Lithium on 8/3, 8/8, 8/11, 8/15, 8/17 and 8/24, along with leaving numerous telephone messages, I have received no response and feel I have been duped out of approximately $1,200 for the non-working battery.I had to purchase two lead acid batteries just so I could use my new boat but all I want is to receive a new, working battery. I am deeply dismayed at Dakota Lithium's lack of response after a customer spent $3,556 on 3 ********************** (I purchased a starting battery as well). I trusted Dakota Lithium so I spent the money on high-end batteries that I can't use, as both deep cycle batteries must be used together.I will never spend this amount of money on batteries again, as I am now using two batteries that cost me less than $250 instead of the $3,500 batteries I bought.Business Response

Purchased a Litihum battery from this company. Received it on 08/10/22 went to plug-in charger that came with battery it sparked and now is not working so I cannot charge or use $450 battery.
