      Contractor claims they had a verbal agreement from me to clean the dryer vent on the exterior of my home. This past January they arrived without authorization and performed the service, then proceeded to bill me. I don't believe I've given them consent to arrive every year without checking with me first to clean the dryer vent. *** Stevens has since sent a letter to my home threatening to use a collection agency.

      We sincerely apologize for any confusion regarding our recent service visit. After reviewing your account, we found that we have provided Dryer Vent Cleaning service to this location consistently over the past three years, typically around the same time each year. This most recent visit would mark the fourth time we have conducted this service. At the time of scheduling and service, we were unaware of any change in preference or that this service was no longer desired. Had we been made aware, we would have gladly adjusted our schedule and service accordingly. We value our customers and strive to maintain transparency and open communication.

      I am not satisfied with the response from *** Stevens.  Basically they seem to believe that they can continue to show up at my house and perform service without any authorization from me.  Then theyll bill me for service I dont want; how is this fair?

After reviewing your account again, we found no record of a service cancellation request prior to this complaint. As such, we were unaware that you no longer wished to receive service. That said, **** now updated your account to reflect your request, and you will no longer be scheduled for future service. Ned Stevens operates as a subscription-based service, and our goal is to provide customers with peace of mind by maintaining regular, automatic servicewithout the need for repeated scheduling. Many of our customers appreciate this convenience, but we absolutely respect when a customer no longer wishes to participate. All we ask is to be notified so we can promptly update our records and avoid any unintended visits or billing.       As an automated service provider, we rely on scheduled service intervals and do not receive notifications of cancellation unless they are submitted through the proper channels. In this case, we were not made aware of any cancellation request and proceeded with the service as we have in previous years. ************************ was completed as scheduled and no cancellation was recorded in our system, we are unable to waive the associated bill. We encourage customers to submit cancellations in advance through our official contact methods to ensure accurate service records and billing.

      This *** Stevens company had been showing up in my house several times for a service we no longer wanted. I emailed this company a few times, left a voicemail a few months ago, and even spoke to their customer representative to discontinue this gutter service in the summer. Yet, they reappeared in our house (10/21/24) unannounced and power-washed our gutter. We called the company again, and I spoke with the same person who usually speaks with customers who want to leave them. He said his name was ****. This person aggressively tries to keep the business when we have already expressed our desire to end it. He keeps on reiterating the same question despite giving him the answer. He is trying to manipulate customers to change our minds. He is not listening to my answers. He kept pushing his business to the point that I felt harassed.

Upon reviewing the call in question, we noted that after the customer called to cancel their ********************, our representative asked twice how we could assist them further. The customer expressed their intention to file a complaint, stating they felt harassed. When our representative, ****, inquired about the reason for cancellation, the customer indicated that if their request was not honored, they would proceed with filing a report, after which they ended the call. Prior to this call the customer called in to stop ******************** for the summer. Currently we do not have any services scheduled for this address. We take pride in our business and ability to work with customers to ensure their homes stay protected. We also take customer feedback seriously and are committed to resolving any concerns.       I am rejecting this response because the resolution to our grievance was not fully satisfied. *** Stevens never mentioned that I emailed them last summer to discontinue their service. They also should have mentioned not charging us for their work without our permission. This aggressive business tactic of dealing with customers is unacceptable and is causing me significant emotional distress.

      *** Stevens came to clean my gutters and did severe damage to my car by scratching the hood and the front bumper. I have attached a Word document and photos that explain in detail. I have reached out numerous times and their response was I do not have a video of the men doing the damage. This is totally unacceptable and the repair to my car will cost almost $3,000. They offered to give me the money back for the service which is unacceptable.

      We have thoroughly investigated the situation regarding the damage mentioned. Our crew has assured us that they did not cause any damage during their visit, and our technicians are trained to report any issues they encounter to prevent further complications.
      We spoke with the customer and reviewed the video footage provided, and it does not show any damage occurring at the time of the gutter cleaning. We also requested additional footage, but unfortunately, none was available for further review.
      In good faith, we offered to credit the bill to help address the customer's concerns. However, after our investigation, we must clarify that we do not believe our services caused the damage in question.

      On 12/19/2023, I received a phone call from *** Cleaning Gutter Services saying that they were on the way to perform a gutter cleaning services. I immediately called them back to say that I no longer needed this service and asked would it be possible to cancel it. The customer service representative said that he called the team and that they had not started work, so he was able to cancel the service. I confirmed that I would not be charged for the gutter cleaning because it would not be performed and I was assured that I would not be charged. However, when I arrived home there was a note on my door saying that the team had done the cleaning and that I would receive an invoice from the company. I called the customer service line and they told me that I would receive a recording of me booking the service in ******************************** canceling the service on 12/19/23. Once I reviewed the recordings and determined that I had not authorized the service, I could call them and dispute the charge. I never received these recordings and they did not follow up further. Instead they sent and invoice. Once again, we tried to dispute the charge over email, but did not receive a reply. In January 2024, I received another invoice with a late fee which I paid to avoid incurring further fees.

      Service date 1/5/24 @my home address the forementioned contractor performed gutter cleaning services. Was completed same day.Upon receiving my receipt of invoice reflecting my credit card charge I discovered ************* Cleaning charged me tax rate of 10% on $234 charge or $23.95 tax. My tax rate of my address based on Washington ********** of ******* online calculator indicates my tax is **** this my charged tax amount should have been $20.36. Spoke with contractor and left impression they will not adjust my bill even though I provided them with website link to Washington ********** of ******* tax rate information.

      On October 24, 2023, *** Stevens workers claimed to have cleaned the gutters at my house when in actuality they were unable to get access to the gutters for cleaning.I informed the dispatcher of my requirements 1) That I am home on the day of service, and 2) that I am provided photos of the cleaned out gutters as evidence of the work. I explained that the company that cleaned the gutters previously always provided photos of their work. I received a text message that ****** crew was in route; however, I did not receive the text until later that afternoon. When I arrived home, I found a note that the service was performed but an issue was found. I called the office and spoke to ****. **** said that I needed to have a few stains cleaned and he started trying to sell services upwards of $$$. He emailed the invoice and I asked if he could simply provide evidence of the stains they found, and the photos I requested as evidence of the gutter cleaning service. He exclaimed, just because your roof is five years old doesnt mean it doesnt have stains. He then placed the call on hold for over 12 minutes. He returned the to the call and emailed a photo of what appeared to be the front of my house from a mirrored window. I suspect malware was attached since the photo and invoice both were deleted from my email. I insisted that he escalate the matter to his manager.On or about 11/1/23, the *** Stevens manager called to discuss my dispute and agreed to take photos of the gutter cleaning.On 11/18/23, *********** arrived and proceeded to the back gate. I watched as they couldnt get in my locked gate. I had to unlock the gate for the workers. So, ****** crew was not at my house when they claimed to have cleaned my gutters. I asked that the business office call to discuss but did not hear back from *** Stevens until ********, the Account Executive called me to collect for an unpaid debt on Dec 14. A debt for services that never occurred at my property.

      This company illegally and without consent accessed my property, used my equipment, and performed services that were never approved. I called them for an estimate on 11/2/2023 for a new home i was moving into on 11/3/2023. I was ****% clear with the **** ********* that i only wanted an estimate and had another business coming to the property on 11/3/2023 to complete a similar estimate. ******** was clear that to start the work there was a 50% payment due. I paid nothing and approved no work. Less than 24 hours later i arrived at my new home to find a *** Stevens door tag saying they completed the work and to call them. It was then the stench of bleach hit me and noticed a large puddle of bleach water on my front door step. I would NEVER have approved a company to spray my house and property with bleach as i have pets in addition to that is NOT GOOD FOR ROOFS. The back of the house stunk like bleach too. I was horrified that the first day in a new home was totally ruined by these people. They were NEVER GIVEN ORAL OR WRITTEN PERMISSION to put one toe on my property and certainly not to perform one second of work that was never approved or paid for. They had the gall to send me an invoice a few hours later for $800. Adding insult to injury, i received a call from ****** at *** Stevens the night of 11/3/2023 saying its been awhile, would i like to schedule gutter service. This is how incompetent this company is. When i explained to ****** the situation she calling me under, i was put on hold for 15 minutes. I finally hung up when a reputable roofing company to show up for their estimate. They were also horrified at the situation and blantant disregard for person and property and pointed out all the yellowed areas where they sprayed. There are multiple other complaints about this company doing similar tactics. At a minimum, i would like be absolved of any payments to this company as well as an apology for ruining my home.

      I had originally started using *** Stevens Gutter Cleaning at my home in 07/2021 after speaking to a Mr **************** on the phone. The service was to include yearly maintenance plan, which was to clean gutters around entire home, SCREEN PORCH GUTTER, and dryer vent service. I paid an annual invoice in the amount of $640 in full. The first year went well so I renewed for year two (2022). the plan is auto renew. The plan renewed again for 2023. What they did not disclose AT ALL was that they decided privately and without notice to change the terms of my service. They were happy to take my money, and bill me at the same level, but decided they cannot clean my screen porch gutters any longer. To my knowledge the screen porch gutters have been missed 3 times, My screen porch is 20' long, so by eliminating the gutter cleaning my bill should have adjusted retroactively back to the first time they did not clean it. The only way I found out about it was that I happened to be home the day they came to clean and the technician told me the manager told him not to clean the porch gutter.They are continually harrassing me for full payment, and even have the nerve to add a late fee on to the bill I have asked to get adjusted. I have spoken and emailed many times requesting a resolution. They even send a person out to my house unannounced and without notifying me. To this day I dont know who it was or why they were at my home. I was not home the day they came out. 1. Why would they ask me for money when my plan was paid in full for the year?2. Why didnt they call me and let me know the terms of my service have changed, When I called and spoke to a CSR, the rep told me they " just decided to change it"!3. I want my money back, and my service cancelled.

      I contacted the company to request gutter cleaning and possible repair. A red flag right off the bat for me was that the company tried selling me a number of service packages I was not interested in and persisted when I explicitly told them so. They said someone would be out to my home to perform the work in a day or two if the weather complied. They requested my credit card information and I told them I was not comfortable giving out said information until the work had been performed. Despite my estimation that the weather was perfectly well-suited to doing the work, no one showed up at my house until a week later (they sent a text about an hour prior to arriving, which was helpful). The techs started setting up and I introduced myself and confirmed they were aware of the area possibly needing repair, which I showed them. I excused myself to go back to work and asked them to let me know if they had any questions. I went out a few minutes later and the crew had packed up and left! Thinking they may have gone to get lunch or something, I called the office to ask for an explanation; none was offered and they said they would find out and let me know the reason for the crew's desertion. Two days passed and the only word from *** Stevens was an invoice that popped into my inbox saying I owed $220.00 (for work not performed)! I called the office to explain, and was told that an error had been made by the techs; that "they'd checked the box saying the work was done". The rep was very apologetic and said the bill would be undone somehow, although I suspect this may not be my last dealings with *** Stevens. Beware, lest you too find yourself wasting your valuable time and energy on *** Stevens! Oh, and their message when you are on hold states that their rating on BBB is A+ is the real kicker: I just checked and it's currently an F!
