Tic Tac Relocation was hired by the broker I went through Starline Vanlines. They have communicated with me 0 times throughout the entire process, and have now had my stuff sitting in storage since July 13th. Upon contacting Starline Vanlines again I was informed that my belongings should be arriving by August 25th, which far exceeds the **** day delivery that was told to me at pickup. Throughout the entire process I have been without clothes (except what I could fit in a small suitcase), appliances, computer so I can work or anything. It should also be mentioned that upon pickup I was charged nearly 3 times the amount I was quoted for a one bedroom apartment. I have attempted to contact Tic Tac directly on numerous occasions and either get a recording saying they are closed in the middle of the day or no one answers. At this point I want my stuff delivered in a timely manner and to have all delivery charges waived and be allowed to inspect everything before the drivers leave.Initial Complaint

- Signed Binding Estimate with ** Interstate and Rail on 29 July, 2023 to move my son's items from *******, ** to ****************, **. Total "guaranteed" price was $3841.50 based on 465 cu ft. - Inventory and Binding Estimate were available via a link.- 50% paid by EFT $1740.75 on 31 July, 2023 - Move was scheduled for Aug7 or 8 at the latest.- USIR contracted Tic Tac Relocation for the move. They arrived at 11:15am on Aug 9. Spent additional $800 changing flights. With a short time frame, packing, cleaning the house before property manager's arrival for a walk through and flight to catch in a few hours it was chaos.- Tic Tac gave a new price of $11, 617 for **** cu ft with a pickup and delivery fee of $4938 each. - Refused to pay that, so took big items off the truck, sectional sofa, washer, dryer, queen *** frame and mattress. All of which were listed in the original quotation. Dryer damaged by *** the mover when bringing it from basement to garage.- In the chaos, foolishly signed the *** before and when they were finished, they took off without me witnessing what they added to the document and did not leave me a copy. I took a picture of the blank document with my signature.-Aug 10, received a call from Tic Tac asking for $9645 based on 800 cu ft. Refused to pay it because we have an inventory of the things that they took which were mainly boxes, a dining table, 4 chairs, 2 grills, and a couple of other items. The big items which cost over $3000 had been removed. - Requested an itemized inventory from Tic Tac and the closest that I could get was that the items were in a warehouse in 2 bins. One full with 400 cu ft and the other 70% which is 280 cu ft. - Calculated outstanding balance of $2525.50 for 215 cu ft (680 - 465) and sent to USIR and Tic Tac on Aug 17.- Keep being told to call back and we do not even know where our things are. - Would like a fair resolution with the 2 fraudulent companies.Business Response

Hi,
We apologize for the miscommunication and delay in arrival and also for the ******* having you sign the contract prior to it being completed, we will make sure to do some training with that employee on our end so that does not happen again.
After speaking with the pickup team, it looks like the space used was 800cf. I understand your frustration of having an inventory list with the broker but unfortunately, computer generated estimates are not guaranteed space utilization and just that, an estimate. Your items were not all able to be loaded In to your original size quoted by the broker, that wasnt an estimate provided to you by us, the actual moving company. Your total cost for the move is for 800cf of space used, with a total cost $7,861. Once the pickup balance is paid and balance is agreed upon for delivery, your items will be delivered ASAP. The other option is to return your items to the pickup location if you choose to reject the updated estimate for the 800cf.

Thank you for your response. The **** representative ******, informed me that the company is a carrier with their own trucks which I verified on the *** website. He assured me that this was a Binding Estimate and no additional payments were to be expected. Based on Tic Tacs information, **** misrepresented themselves and functioned as a broker and underestimated the items to be moved. **** never informed me that they were contracting out the job to *******. They have taken their 50% and left me the customer to deal with an unexpected situation. **** has not been transparent or honest in their handling of this move.
Tic Tac is recalculating the costs for the move, almost as if **** never existed. The Moving Tariff of $3255 was already included in the Binding Estimate from **** and Tic Tac is adding on an additional $3546 MT which is very unreasonable. I also did not receive an itemized inventory from Tic Tac. Tic Tac has not addressed damaging the dryer while moving it to the garage.
Please see the text message attached from Tic Toc Relocation indicating that the volume is not 800 cu ft but 680 cu ft. ****** their representative told me over the phone that each container holds 400 cu ft. There is 1 full and the other @ 70% = 280 cu ft. Total volume = 680 cu ft. Given that the Binding Estimate from **** was for 465 cu ft, that means that I would need to pay for an additional (680-465=215) 215 cu ft. I already paid **** $1740.75 (50% of the $3841.50) and Tic Tac Relocation $870 at pick-up. The O/D fee of $300 and $399 discount were already included in the Binding Estimate. Difference between **** and Tic Tac MT = $291. Wouldn't the remaining balance be the following?
215 cu ft x $7 per cu ft = $1505
Fuel surcharge 10% = $150.50
Remaining delivery cost from original Binding Est. = $870 ; Remaining MT $291. (1505+150.50+870+291=$2816)Remaining TOTAL to Tic Tac = $2816.00
Half for pick-up $1408
Half for delivery $1408I think that this is fair and I am willing to pay this amount. It is not fair to recalculate the move from the beginning or to use a full 800 cu ft. I hope that this will be acceptable.

This issue has not been resolved. To date, the items have not yet been delivered and Tic Tac Relocation has not responded regarding honoring the Binding Estimate or compromise with the adjusted additional payment that I calculated, which excludes the additional moving tariff etc.Initial Complaint

On 6/4/2023 TIC TAC was brokered through Authority Movers and had a contracted that estimated arrival of furniture should be June 14th - It has been over 6 weeks and my furniture has not arrived. I have had to pay for a bed and all of my kitchen applicances had to be repurchased because they refused to give me a date of when my furniture was on the way - they kept telling me that the furniture was on its way everyday for 4 weeks they informed me I would get it the next day stating that it was travelling through different cities when all along it was housed in there warehouse. I had to purchase clothes, uniforms, household items that were basic everyday needed items. I spent my entire budget on having to repurchase items that I should have access to. The company lied repeatedly day after day knowing that my belongins were in a warehouse and not in routeBusiness Response

I hired Venture *** lines and TicTac relocation to move my belongings across the country. Tictac picked my belongings up in May 10th and has not delivered my belongings. I have reached out for weeks to get a hold of someone and they do not get back to me. *****, who is in charge of tictac prefers to text and I have texted him numerous times and he has read the texts and given no response. I have had to delay my job in my new state numerous times and cannot push it off any later. I have tried to call and explain this/leave voicemails/texts with no response. I have called venture *** lines and they also have not gotten a response. They have told me that my belongings were in three different locations and when I ask them where they are they say a new place every time. Im afraid my belongings have been stolen or are missing.Business Response

We apologize the customer is not satisfied with the response however the contract was not broken, there is no guarantee of delivery date and 21 business days is the intended delivery time, not a guarantee by contract. FMCSA laws are once a delivery goes beyond 30 business days (not calendar) there is an $18 per business day discount applied at delivery.Initial Complaint

I initially contracted with a company called UIR moving, which sold my contract to TIC TAC relocation. The job was to move the contents office storage container from ***** ********** to ******** ****. After that TicTac sold the contract again to another company called always affordable relocation between the three companies. I pay $3000 as a down payment, and **** when the delivery is completed. Now on the day of delivery they are asking to get the money before any items download it from the truck how do I know theyve got all my items or that they will assemble the bed or that they will remove the packaging. I have a cashiers check ready with the name of the company on it and I sent them a picture that this money is ready but I dont want to pay before I have all my items and the furniture is assembled. They drove away with my furniture and now they are threatening to *** me. Now Im sleeping on the floor for four weeks and lost $3000 with nothing to show for it. Furthermore I just received a threat that an additional redelivery fee of 650 will be added and they will *** me in court.Business Response

Customer has been provided with FMCSA Your rights and responsibilities publications provided by her brokerage company upon signing her contract which clearly states At delivery, the balance is due prior to unloading in the form of *********** Money Order or Cash only. The carrier reserves the right to collect up to 70% of balance due prior to the goods leaving the origin state. Subject to federal law, payment in FULL of all charges is required before delivery and prior to unloading Subject to the 110% law, if applicable. All charges are based on carriers full tariff rates. If payment is not made then the carrier may place the goods in storage until payment is made; in such case the customer will be responsible for all storage and redelivery fees.
At delivery, not only did the customer refuse to get cash or a Postal Money Order as required, she also refused to make her payment in full prior to the unloading of her goods which is subject to federal law and required by the customer. The customer was informed prior to delivery of the acceptable forms of payment and refused to comply. Furthermore, the customer has been abusive and hostile from the first day of her job consistently making threats of reporting theft and suing **, in addition to insulting our workers with racist remarks and claiming they must be illegals because the driver is requiring the form of payment pursuant to federal law. Prior to the customer refusing delivery, she has been informed that should refusal occur, she will incur additional expenses for all storage and redelivery fees, again pursuant with federal law. The customer has refused delivery and is now refusing to pay any additional charges to have her items redelivered so once she agrees to make acceptable forms of payment for the total amount due, plus additional charges due to her refusal to cover storage and redelivery fees, her items will be delivered.

I am rejecting this response because:
1_ I was told by text from *************************** the owner that a cashier check was acceptable. I made a cashier check in the amount of **** in the name of the delivery company ALWAYS AFFORDABLE MOVING AND STORAGE *** per the request of the driver and sent him a text photo. He replied by text that he was satisfied with the payment.
2- I paid **** dollars deposit in good faith and provided all evidence that I have the remainder ready per the multiple instructions received from both Tic Tac relocation and Always affordable driver.
3- I asked to make the payment after ensuring all of my items were delivered and the bed especially was assembled. If I paid in front there would have been no guarantee whatsoever that the bed would be assembled. I live alone and have no help putting together a heavy structure such as the bed. I was told by ****** that the contract asked for payment beforehand but when I asked her to provide this section of the contract since I dont recall reading that, she provided the following:
Look up these law codes if youd like
SECTION 3: COLLECTION OF CHARGES: The carrier will collect 100% of a binding estimate or up to 110% of a non-binding estimate provided that no post contract services are required at destination. Any additional post contract services will be collected in full prior to the unloading of the shipment at destination. Pursuant to *******, the carrier reserves the right to collect all post contract services in full in addition to 15% of all charges due in addition to the 100% of a binding estimate or 110% of a non-binding estimate if impracticable operations are required at time of delivery. The carrier reserves the right to collect 15% of all charges due in addition to the 100% of a binding estimate or 110% of a non-binding estimate if impracticable operations are required at time of delivery and 100% of post contract services prior to the unloading at time of delivery.Clearly none of the above can be interpreted to mean payment before unloading.
I have given them no reason to doubt my honesty. I did not haggle on the price at any point. On the contrary I have been put into very difficult circumstances because of their repeated ghosting after I paid the initial **** I would not get reply to simply inquiry about delivery for days. The only way I would get any response is by threats.as to the issue of racist remarks: the driver has been insisting on ONLY taking postal money order, no cashier check which is a completely secure way of payment. Why is that? The only reason I could think of is that individual does not have a bank account. Who doesnt have a bank account in the **? I will leave that to your judgement whether this constitutes racism !
since this move started I found myself dealing with 3 companies different phones and lies the husband of the owner was texting me from a *************************************************************************************** around with lies obfuscations insults threats ( all the texts are available on my phone ) Today I only discovered the real driver who happens to have a 917 area code*******************

First let me say I have never wrote a negative review for anyone or anything before. Just not that person. If I was unsatisfied, I just wouldnt be a return customer. But in this case Im trying to help anyone else looking for a mover. This company is formally known as *********************. TicTac is owned and operated by the same people, *************************** and her husband *****. No one should do any business with them. PLEASE look them up and read the nightmares these people have caused for their customers. Four months ago, 10/3/22 I paid ***** $1783 to move my stuff to ******* where I would paid the 2nd half of the total amount owed($1800). The problem is I have yet to receive my stuff. They have ghosted my wife and I and had refused to refund my payment and will not pay for the goods they were supposed to be moving. These are not good people. They will delete this post. That is what they do. I will be posting on a regular to safe others for the agony they have caused my family.Business Response
