      I went to speak to the doctor in September. The doctor was unable to help me. Nothing more than a conversation occurred and I was upset that day. My anxiety got the better of me. I left and apologized. I later have received a bill for almost 600$ for the visit. Again nothing occurred besides blood pressure being taken and a heated conversation. I feel the high bill is in retaliation. The amount I owe is 190$ after the insurance paid their part.

      This can be closedI called the insurance company and they explained that they disallowed the over charge and I was charged the minimum for a doctors visitIm satisfied with thatI still think that Astria should be called out for attempting to over charge patients.

      I'm a patient and had had a medical appointment with an Astria Health Ear, Nose, Throat specialist on 10/31/24.On 11/18/24, I had called Astria Health ****************** as I had received a claim from my insurance provider for what appeared to be the incorrect amount. The ****************** confirmed the amount was incorrect, and that the claim would need to be reprocessed.On 12/20/24, I called Astria Health ****************** as I had received an updated claim from my insurance provider and I wanted to pay the associated amount. The ****************** didn't answer the phone, so I left a voicemail.On 12/23/24, Astria Health ****************** returned my call from 12/20/24 and left me a voicemail informing me that the updated insurance claim I had received was also for the incorrect amount and the claim would need to be reprocessed a second time.On 1/31/2025, I called Astria Health ****************** as I hadn't seen an updated claim from my insurance provider. I was informed Astria Health had transmitted the updated claim to my insurance provider on 1/30/******* of today (2/6/2025) I have yet to see an updated claim from my insurance provider.Although my appointment was on 10/31/24, over 3 months later I have yet to receive a bill from Astria Health. I'm not satisfied with the service I have received from Astria Health, nor the way this situation has been handled. It isn't clear if the specialist, the ******************, the charging department, or some other entity within Astria Health is at fault.I'm requesting that the Better Business Bureau help facilitate resolution of this issue, and expedite the process.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      Just said theyll reconnect with me. This doesnt resolve anything. My husband is being overcharged for a simple doctors office visit which only involved his blood pressure being taken. The charge needs to be for a doctors visit and should be reducedit shouldnt be almost 600$. It is either a mistake or the doctor is billing high out of a retaliation.

      We have reviewed this patients complaint.  We do not find an invoice for the amount identified in the complaint.  We've identified other accounts and reviewed those.  We find all accounts to be billed correctly for the services provided.  Insurance appropriately adjudicated their portion of the claims, and the hospital correctly adjusted the invoice in compliance with its agreements with the Insurance company.  

      Our records do not show charges for arbitrary health care services that did not pertain to the patient, as stated in the complaint.

      We invite the patient to call the business office or to stop in to visit with a financial counselor to discuss the billing, or to make arrangements.  We are happy to help, and recognize that healthcare billing is extremely complicated. 

      Thank you for the feedback, we will continue to work on addressing more rapid phone call  support and response.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      you can see from the photo the *** billed from Astria it was billed to the wrong insuranceit is billed for the amount I mentioned and it is an over charge for an office visit. Saying the amount or bill doesnt exist doesnt solve the problem since he was billed for 564.00$ from Astria in ****** WA. Please try harder to find the bill Im referring to in this complaint. Also they need to bill the correct insurance company, which they have on file at their office since it was all updated prior to the visit.

      I've had ongoing issues with the billing department at Astria Health center for years now. There are several invoices that were billed to insurance improperly and can never get it resolved. You will see on the attached notes I took every time I received an invoice I would be told not to pay, but I end up getting another invoice in the mail. The most difficult part about this is you cannot speak to anyone with regards to billing, they have a billing department but I've left them countless messages with not a single call back. Now these invoices, some from many years ago which I was told not to pay are getting sent to collections. I spent two hours in the clinic a few weeks ago waiting to talk to the manager (*********************), he assured me he would get to the bottom of everything and stay in touch with me (as you will see on my notes). After reviewing with **** in person he agreed there were some mistakes on their end. He has still not called me back either or followed up on any of these outstanding invoices. I asked him to touch base with the collections agency they sent this to so the bills don't incur any additional fee's or penalties, and so they know this is a work in progress and it doesn't affect my credit but he has not done that either to my knowledge. My biggest fear is this is going to affect my credit but these bills are not correct, I just can't get anyone to help me there. I've attached every single invoice & documented notes I have from every visit & phone conversation with everyone I've had their over the years. I don't know what else to do, please help...
