I am filing a complaint against Washington Gastroenterology (******** location) for inadequate care and unprofessional conduct regarding my treatment for ulcerative colitis. I have been a patient at this clinic for years and rely on them for ongoing care, including regular infusions. However, I have encountered significant issues recently that have directly impacted my health and ************* March 2025, I experienced a flare-up of my condition, which required me to take sick leave from my public safety job with the State of Washington. I attempted multiple times to contact the clinic for support and potential treatment options, leaving voicemails, but none of my calls were returned. I was informed by the clinic that due to staffing shortages, my infusion needed to be rescheduled with an outside clinic. After confirming my return-to-work date, I submitted FMLA paperwork to Dr. *** for completion. Despite my long-standing patient history and the fact that I had communicated my flare-up to the clinic, Dr. *** refused to complete the paperwork, citing my failure to notify the clinic during the flare-up. This was untrue, and the clinics lack of response and support during my time of need is unacceptable.I escalated the issue to Clinic Manager ***** *****, but she was dismissive and unhelpful. As a result, I am at risk of losing my job with the State due to this lack of cooperation. I am requesting that BBB investigate the clinics unprofessional behavior, lack of communication, and failure to meet basic patient care standards.

Have been trying to reach the *************** ********* for lab stool results. I finally got lab results on my own. The results were available 10/28 and asked for followup from ****** office since there was an issue with lab results and they wanted me to be retested in the next 10 days.I called today to speak to the office manager and have not had my call returned. When I was doing research on this place I learned it is owed by physicians so of course there is no oversight. This business and its care by my physician is egregious! I even asked for another doctor and haven't heard back on that as well.Left untreated I can be in the ** for dehydration as I have before.Would never recommend Washington Gastroenterology !!!!Please contact me if there is some recourse I may take.

Came to this clinic at the most vulnerable, worst time of my life. They offered a colonoscopy + endoscopy, then told me there was nothing else they could do to help me figure out my gastro issues. After seeking a second opinion and offered various other diagnostics, like motility testing, weve discovered more of what is really wrong with me. Would not recommend as the entire time I felt dismissed and spent countless trips/calls following up and correcting information the front desk continually messed up like insurance info or PCM details. I also had to call/email the *** to get information on a specific stool test the office wasnt even familiar with. This office does not have the experience needed to properly treat patients with the respect/dignity of the patients quality of life. I do *NOT* recommend this office, even with the lack of GI docs available- I wouldnt go back or advise anyone I cared for to go to this practice. Im still getting bills from their in office Labcorp partner mistakes.
