I paid the business 15000 cash, the rest was financed by their own bank. They never finished their job that consisted of kitchen remodel. They did not provide the 10 year warranty that was in the bid. They do not answer call, can not get a hold of them. Project was left unfinished, they keep avoiding calls, website is gone. They took my money and did a horrible job.

I hired RAD Custom Homes on April 21, 2023, and put down over 36K on a project to renovate my kitchen and create another laundry room while changing old laundry room to a new master bedroom closet. The job was scheduled to start the end of June, with a completion time frame to a month or month and half. So, on June 26, 2023, the job was started, and my kitchen was demo 'ed and floors removed, which literally took a week. After that no work was done. I continuously messaged their project manager and got excuses after excuses. After three weeks and no work being done, I received a call from the secretary at the job stating the old project manager was fired and a new one will be replacing him. The job picked back up, and work was literally done for only another week. I continuously kept trying to find out what's going on with the job and they told me to see if I could get the blueprints to the house for the work that still needed to be completed, although all permits were supposed to be covered per the contract for engineering, plumbing and electrical. So, after another month or so I popped up at the business where the owner. He told me he was dealing with some personal issues. I stated sorry to hear about that, but that has nothing to do with the job I hired you to do back in April and it is now September and was supposed to be completed over a month ago. He stated they can no longer complete the job unless I get the permits in my name. I told him I will think over the weekend and let him know. I reached out and told him the following Monday that I can't get the permits as that means I was doing the work, and you wouldn't be obligated to warranty the work, but most importantly you stated you would get permits. He said he would call me in a few days and let me know if they can complete the job or not or return my money. I gave extra week for him to call me back, I have yet to hear back from him. Then found out the business and closed and website taken down by employee

We entered into a contract with R.A.D Custom Homes on July 31, 2023. We hired them to fully remodel the primary bedroom and bathroom, as well as transition an unused room into an office area. As a start. We paid the requested 50% down and an additional change-order cost in full. The crew did demo the bathroom and bedroom, laid the tile (did not grout) and moved a window in the master bath as well as some drywall work and added a light fixture. We have nothing else done. The crew kept telling us to call their boss. No tub. No shower. No vanity. No toilet. No floor, walls or doors have been touched in the bedroom. No answer from “the boss”. We have been reaching out for weeks without any response. They required 50% of the money and have only done MAYBE 25% of the work. Every number and email address I have appears to be be undeliverable as of today. Their website also appears to have been taken down. We are trying to resolve these issues without taking legal action, but we are loosing options. I’m afraid these people are criminals that have not only left us in a financial hardship, but also, with a very dangerous living situation for my grandmother. They should be held accountable.
We now know this is happening to other people. They need to be stopped.

I signed a quote with RAD Custom Homes on 8/14/23 and provided a 50% deposit in the amount of $12,240 to have both of my bathrooms rebuilt. This payment was from a homeowners insurance claim and I have been living in a hotel since May - RAD is aware of this. The Project Manager I was working with confirmed on 8/28 that he would be placing an order for the materials i selected. I have not heard from him since then. I have tried calling RAD with all the phone numbers I can find with no response. I have stopped by their office, sent letters, left notes with no response. I have received no services or exchange of goods for the deposit provided. Their website has been taken down, their voice mailboxes are full, there are several new reviews online of clients experiencing the same issue. I need to know when I can expect work to begin, what materials have been ordered, or I want a refund. I am at risk of losing a place to stay that has a bathroom. My insurance company provided settlement 45 days ago and I need to get back into my home.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and respectfully withhold my final acceptance/comments until the work has been completed - as it will take more than 7 days to complete. Based on the conversation with the owner on 7/21/23, it is my hope that R.A.D. follows through as promised and the end result will be better than expected.

    Sincerely,

********************* have sent emails through their contractor builder's site, through my personal email and have also sent texts. I have called and received no answer or call back. I have not heard back from the owner, ******, the project manager, ****** or the original sales ******************** as of today, July 10th. I am requesting a refund of the unsued deposit money and dissolution of our contract. I can provide that if you need it. Below I've attached pics of job and conversations.
