      I worked with the company to get a new key for my car fornthe ignition. The new key works fine but I forgot to get my original key which still worked for the doors of the car just fine. They argued that the old key was useless, where it is not. The old key is still my property and I would like to have it back. I live 30 miles away from the company, do not regularly travel to that area, and asked the to put the key in the mail for me and they refused because they think the key is useless so there is no point in sending it to me.

      This customer isn't telling the whole story. We had to repair the ignition which is a common issue on these vehicles. The reason the ignition failed was because the customer was using a worn out key. When we make the repairs to these vehicles we provide a new code cut factory key, so as we can provide a one year warranty on the repair. We do not give the old worn out key back to the customer as it will cause damage again and void the warranty. The customer ended up with the same number of keys they originally had. They have an opportunity to purchase additional keys but declined. The customer did not accept this and became quite hostile and rude to us when we tried explaining it to them.

      Apologies for the late response.  All I wanted was the original key returned to me.  I did become irritated when when they told me I could not have it back, and that they would not mail it to me.
