      On 3/21/2023 I had an office visit with my provider and an ultrasound was performed. A claim for the office visit was sent to my insurance company, **********, and I paid my portion of $46.89. This year I began receiving phone calls from ***. The call never identified who they were, or what it was regarding. I was concerned that it could be a scam so I didn't answer the calls. When I continued to receive calls from *** I decided to do an online search and found they are a collections agency. On 9/9/2024, I called DCI and was told that I had been sent to collections for an outstanding bill from Tacoma Radiological Associates (TRA) for the ultrasound on 3/21/2023. I told them I was unaware of this outstanding charge - that I had never received a phone call from this provider, no statement, and no bill. I then called TRA to find out if this charge was legitimate. I was told that, because it had been sent to the collection agency, they were unable to give me any information such as statements, billing, or other information. Because my credit score is important to me, on 9/10/2024 I called *** and paid the outstanding amount of $130.58, which included $7.58 for interest charges incurred. Since that time, I have spent hours trying to contact someone from TRA to discuss this. I did find out that the charge was for the reading of the ultrasound. I discovered that **********, my insurance provider at that time, never received a claim. In talking with TRA's billing department recently, I was told that the insurance claim was submitted to Regence, not **********. We did not have Regence until June 1, 2023. We have received statements and bills from TRA in the past with no issue. This has been a very frustrating experience and TRA has still been unwilling to send me copies of the statement or other documents. I am requesting that TRA submit the claim to **********, reimburse me for the amount of $130.58, and notify *** to clear this from my credit record.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      In your response you state that you, rely upon billing information provided to us from that facility.  However, the facility successfully submitted this claim to my insurance company, **********,at the time of service.  Upon reviewing my ******************** account online, I found no record of a claim submission for this date of service.  Similarly, my ***************** online account also shows no such claim.
      You also indicated that I had provided incorrect insurance information during our communication.  As Ive already stated, I have not received any statements, bills, or phone calls regarding this date of service.  The phone call you referenced in August 2023 pertained to a different date of service.  This pattern of miscommunication raises concerns, as I have noted recurring issues with TRA regarding the inability to submit claims and issue statements in a correct, consistent, and timely manner.
      The Patient Rights and Responsibilities page on your website states, You have the right to  Ask questions and get a timely response to your questions or requests.  After numerous calls to various billing department numbers, visits to local TRA facilities, and ultimately speaking to someone who mentioned that three statements had been mail, I am left confused.  I have never received these statements, and I would like to understand why your billing department did not investigate the return of these statements or reach out to me directly.         
      Through no fault of my own, I have expended significant time and effort attempting to rectify a problem that lies with TRA.  To resolve this matter, I request the following:
      1.   Submit the claim to the correct insurance company, ***********                                       
      2.  Reimburse me for the amount of $130.58.
      3.  Notify DCI to clear this from my credit record.
      If you are unwilling to rectify this issue, I will be compelled to file a complaint with the **************************************

      While it is true I received a short voicemail from TRA, they did not indicate that there has been any progress on their part toward correcting this claim with regard to my previous requests (listed below). I prefer to proceed with resolving this issue through the BBB portal, as the complaint does not involve any sensitive medical information.

      I had a Workers Comp surgery to repair my shoulder. But a complication arose where I went into respiratory failure when they tried to wake me up and I was transported to ****************** in Tacoma (where an Xray person with TRA took a chest X-Ray). Well there was some initial issues getting the workers comp company to pay (it was denied initially but my workers company attorney filed an appeal and got a legal order from Washington L&I that ******** was on the hook for the bill, NOT me. Well TRA ignored multiple letters from my lawyers office AND ******** saying to *********************** and kept coming after me for the balance. They then sent it to collections and IGNORED the legal L&I order to ***********************. So now Im having to fight with the collections company for a bill that isnt even my responsibility because the company couldnt be bothered to follow the ****

      I went to the ** in on March 1st and received a head and neck CT, on March 16th I paid my ** bill through MY CHART in full. The following two weeks after March 16th, Between March 16th and the end of the month, I get two calls at odd hours about owing $37.71 with zero information legitamizing thier claims. After March I receive no calls, fast forward to July 26th and I finally receive my FIRST paper bill and it is a notice of non-payment and that they will send that miniscule amount to collections. The bill itself has zero information on what I'm being charged for or if it is even legitimate. Regardless of this being a scam or not, which I think it is, this company behaves completely unprofessional and there is absolutely NO EXCUSE for thier billing tactics.

      12/7/22, 12/9/22 and 12/11/22 I was admitted into ********************* in Tacoma under emergency circumstances from 12/1/22 until 12/16/22. I was in a medical drug-induced state fighting pneumonia with sepsis. I had to have a chest tube placed twice to save my life. I met all of my out of pocket costs from my insurance during this stay. I was charged for three separate bills from TRA; two for the chest tube procedures and one random charge that they say I owe $90 for. The other two bills are $162.22 each. The $90 charge is wrong because I have an EOB stating they have an agreement with my insurance to not charge me for it. The other two NEGLECTED to get prior authorization which they had 48 hours to do. This has been going on for a year and a half and they are an awful company.

      I had an *** done at St. ********* in **********, read by radiologist *********************** of TRA. The *** was ordered twice, once by my thoracis doctor ********************** regarding a lymphangioma near my heart for comparison and also by my spine **************************. The lyphoangioma is mentioned no where in the report even though it still exists. ******************** needed the *** of the lyphoangioma to compare it from results in April to see if it's grown.I also was told that I would be told if there were any changes in my breast on this report, as I have breast cancer. There is almost nothing reported on my breast including a clip that was placed. I feel ****************** report falls below the standard of care and I am requesting a more thorough reading by another radiologist.

      I received service the first week of July, 2023 was billed 7/22/2023. I paid the amount if full $28.00 on 8/9/23. I received a second notice 9/29/2023 requesting the same payment for the same services. I returned the bill with a copy of the cancelled check. I received a notice of non-payment letter dated 11/9/23 threatening collections actions from an address listed as "AVS German *************" in ******** ** which i can find no information affiliating to TRA Medical imaging.

      Requested information:  PLEASE CLARIFY YOUR DESIRED RESOLUTION.

      Desired resolution is to have the payments made applied to the account and to have collections actions removed.  
      I would like to have the company review there process when paid responses are returned to them instead of being ignored and have paid ******** sent to collections.

      Had a bill show up that was paid immediately in full and now 5 months later, I was notified by a debt collector stating that I owe $5.76 which the company NEVER contacted about and my account was zeroed out when I made the payment. Now Im having to jump through hoops to dispute and have it removed off my report

      I have usually gotten bills associated with my doctor's visits at Viginian ***** on their portal website, or their associates have sent snail mail. This company did not send any bills to my house nor were they on the portal website. What I did receive was x4 collections papers. When I called collections which was a very small amount and in no way should have ever been sent to collections, they did not have any information. When I call the TRA they told me they had used a company on a TRIAL basis and had non of the records and had no information nor anything they could tell me nor a solution. Thats unacceptable. This affects people's credit which screws with their lives. Not only that but to have a collections agency start hounding a person is abominable.

      I am rejecting this response because what they are not saying is what I told them at their business, which is that my account went to collections when I had never received a bill. They had no information showing that I had ever been sent a bill. So no, this is not an acceptable response that sorry we dont have the information but we sent your bill to collections without giving you a chance to pay it. 
      They said well were transitioning to a new billing company and we have limited patient information. I understand that they can have limited patient information, but having limited patient information does not account for bills, not being sent out but being sent to collections.

      Back in October of 2022, I had to take my spouse to *********** because of severe knee pain. He got X-rayed for any fractures, etc. Now, hes insured under Tricare as he is a military member, actively. We just received a bill of $31.50 from this company and we know for a fact that his healthcare would have reached out if there had been a problem. I would like to suggest to this business that they either 1. Fix their system so that this does not occur or 2. Shut down because its a scam. Ive seen how many reviews youve had in the last three years and 12 months. Thats a concerning amount.Thanks,A rather irritated citizen

      Thank you for reaching out. TRA Medical Imaging provides x-ray read services for many urgent care facilities in the region.  It is possible for a statement to go out to a patient if the insurance information received from the facility is incomplete.       I received a "Notice of Non-Payment" notice saying it was going to go to collections. I have never receieved a bill. My insurance has paid this. They are thretening to take me to collections over $16.72. Web site takes you do a different web site. All of it seems so sketchy. The amounts are so low I bet many people who don't know better just pay it. Total SCAM.
