On or around April 28 2023, I had a phone visit with the ************************* on my sleep apnea problem. On that day, I told the dr. I did not want to take this issue any further at this time. I told him I would not have any insurance on the 1st of may. He proceeded to do something on May 5th, that I had no knowledge of him doing or having permission to do anything. As I mentioned before, I wouldn't have insurance. So I called them and explained the situation, they sent me a letter back saying it was all coded right. It had nothing to do with the coding, I said to stop and they didn't. They billed me for ******Initial Complaint

I was seen in office with my primary care doctor on 10/05, I recently gave birth and needed to be seen by OB, had an appointment on 10/18, talked about pain management, OB recommended to contact my primary care doctor because ** was unable to provide pain meds and my primary care doctor needed to do that. When I left my appointment, I sent a message to my primary to get help for my pain, they system told me it could be up to 3 days before I hear something back. I called in the next day making sure my message was coming through, they confirmed it is waiting for my primary care provider to check it and also put it as urgent. 3 days later, still no contact back to me regarding my issue, I called in to see why i am being ignores, no one can tell me why, but my doctor has been in everyday and still has not even looked at my message. ****** is now telling me that I need to go in for another appointment even though I have already been seen 2 times for this issue and should not be forced to go again, I have a new baby and trying to get back to work, I cannot take time off to go back in for a 3rd time for the same reason. They are running a scam to get as much insurance as possible and are caring for their patientsInitial Complaint

Vancouver clinic dropped me as a patient and although they were the sole medical facility that was aiding me through the most fragile, detrimental and crucial years of my health after being diagnosed with HIV. Their reason was for missed appointments but they did not even allow me to explain that I was missing appointments due to the fact that I was visiting their facility three times a week for phototherapy and I had missed those appointments because I was instructed to do so by the staff after experiencing ***** on my skin. I was never given advance notice of my patient status being revoked, and it took three months to begin phototherapy at a new physicians office. My psoriasis in the meantime overtook my whole lower half of my body causing me extreme depression and lingering health issues. The stress alone of having to leave the team that did my blood work for years-The only team that I trusted to do so- is still something I have not overcome.I wish nothing more than my voice to be heard so that no one else may be subjected to such unfortunate and unfair treatment.Initial Complaint

November 19 2022 I went to Vancouver Clinic urgent care in ***************. Upon entering at check in, they asked what I was being seen for. I told them it was a respiratory and chest issue. They asked if I wanted flu and covid tests. I had already done covid tests and had been sick 3 weeks so I refused the testing knowing it was an infection. When I was seen the doctor checked a few things, knew I had a mild temperature, ordered the tests anyway, leaving and coming back because he forgot to check my ears. The flu test was **************************************************************************************** the test was negative and to go home. I asked about my chest. She said that I either had covid or a cold and to go home. I ended up going to my doctor **** later in agony and spiking fevers finding out that I had pneumonia and possibly bronchitis.Initial Complaint

The Vancouver Clinic is charging me for two services that I didn't receive. Over a video visit, my health care provider had asked me to come in for a physical, as she was prescribing me an antibiotic over video and had not seen me in person for a while. I let her know that I had a physical at ****** during the time frame in which I had not seen her, but I still scheduled the visit for October 19 over ******* as she requested because I wanted to get my antibiotic. After Vancouver Clinic had received my paperwork from ******, I decided to keep my already scheduled appointment because I had two other issues I wanted addresses, so I figured that we could do that instead. At the appointment, I told BOTH the medical assistant and the doctor that I did NOT need a physical, just wanted to have a skin tag removed and get a referral for my ongoing back issues. They are charging me for a physical, even though it is in the appointment notes that I said I was NOT here for a physical. I am willing to pay for the "surgery" to have the skin tag removed and the office visit (which is stupid that it is billed separately, but whatever), but I am NOT willing to pay for a physical that I did not receive.Additionally, they are charging me for a surgical consult November 1. The surgeon was supposed to have a copy of my MRI from last year at ******; I was told it was requested and would be reviewed with me at my appointment. They did not obtain the image, so I was unable to receive a consult. The surgeon was unable to make a recommendation about whether or not I should have surgery because he did not have the information necessary to do so. They want to charge me for wasting my time--They should have called to reschedule, which is a courtesy they expect from their patients. They should offer the same courtesy.I have been a patient at Vancouver Clinic for 12 of the last 13 years and have always paid my bills in a timely fashion without complaint. I WILL NOT PAY FOR THESE.Initial Complaint

I had a few visits to the ******************* on January 18th, January 25th and February 2nd, 2022. The Vancouver Clinic coded the billing incorrectly and my insurance denied paying a large amount of charges which I was responsible for, or so I thought. So I ended up paying them. I SPECIFICALLY said that these payments were for those visits. Well they decided after MONTHS to do an adjustment to the coding and my insurance paid them also for these charges. So I SHOULD have had a credit balance on my account. Except they decided that instead of refunding me the money, or even applying it to Copays for more recent visits, they would apply it to some visit from 2010. TWELVE YEARS AGO. That had been written off. To me this is considered fraud and I am also going to be contacting a lawyer about this and see what they have to say about it. I have just checked my billing with them and they are now also listing this 2010 visit as an "Active" outstanding balance now.Initial Complaint

I have been in contact with the Vancouver Clinic billing department many times. They are currently trying to bill me for $724.75 in services. The issue is that I have United Health and a 2nd health insurance Meridan Health that should cover anything United does not. They have not billed both insurances. They bill one or the other. It has been extremely frustrating dealing with the billing call center as they just don't want to work and are very rude. I have done everything Vancouver Clinic wanted me to do, including calling United to move things along, which is something they should have done. They are just trying to push bills through and are not dealing with the issue despite me bringing it up MANY times. They sent me again a letter on 8/23 saying United needs info from me. THIS IS NOT TRUE! We fixed this months ago. United is so frustrated by VC that they have gone out of their way to call them and sort it out. The call center people are just clueless and tell me I need to call United back and do their job. Nothing is getting resolved. I even spoke with a supervisor months ago who understood my frustration and said she would fix this. If you look online at reviews, everyone is having the same problems. This is costing me time and money. They just want me to pay them and not question it. Please help. It is so frustrating. When I call VC they say oh we don't see that note. Oh we don't see you called. You need to call United Health again and do XYZ. It is ****** embarrassing.Initial Complaint

Prior to 5/16/22 (2 months prior?) I called to schedule appointment with Vancouver Clinic dermatology. Was explicit about removing cherry anginomas. She scheduled with doctor I asked, does it have to be a doctor? I think a tech or assistant could do it. It was scheduled with a doctor. I am a cash patient at Vancouver Clinic as they are out of my insurance network.5/16/22. I go to the appointment. I pay a $200 deposit. In exam room, physician assistant asked why I came in, the appointment was scheduled as a skin check. I said no, I wasnt due for that yet. She said they didnt remove anginomas as that was a cosmetic procedure, but shed check with the doctor. The doctor came in, for maybe 5 minutes, said they dont do that procedure, but gave me some names of cosmetic dermatologists in the area. We talked about the charge. I told them I didnt think I should have to pay as the appointment was mis-scheduled. They said they thought a refund could be made at the front desk since it was same day. I received the refund (document attached).7/7/22 Received statement that $179 was due. Left voicemail for Vancouver Clinic Medical Affairs disputing the charge.7/8/22 I receive a voicemail, leaving a new number to call patient relations told to leave the details at that number and that a nurse would review the case. I call and leave voicemail with details.7/12/22 Vancouver Clinic denies the claim, wrote the letter I received 7/20/22.7/15/22 9:05am. I call to check in (I havent heard from them), leave vm.7/16/22 Received another **** by mail.7/20/22 Received Vancouver Clinics decision, dated 7/12/22.7/21/22 I call and leave a voicemail. I did not receive care at the appointment as their letter states, and the *** code, ***** (which was not on any ****, but was in my patient portal, image attached) is for established patient, ***** minutes. The doctor was not with me even 10 minutes. I say I am planning to register complaints with BBB and state Att Gen. *****
