Area Heating was at our house four times over the last two weeks. They failed to diagnose a relatively easy problem. Our HVAC wasnt working because the intake pipe to the furnace was clogged with 4 inches of dead mice. We paid over $1,500 for virtually zero help. Instead, they saw an older couple living in a nice house and decided to rip us off and recommended a new HVAC unit ($32,000 bid) that they couldnt install until July. Thankfully, our HVAC unit is working great thanks to another contractor. Avoid Area Heating at all costs. They are nothing but a scam. I had to give them one star because I couldnt give them -10 stars.

Was happy to find a women owned business. Had never used this business before, but wont ever again. Requested an emergency service when our 5 yr old furnace wouldnt work during a cold snap. Gladly paid the extra $175 for emergency service since the temps were in the low 30s. Technician came the following day and quickly verified the pressure switch was faulty and did not have a replacement part and would have to order it. Said it would take 3 to 5 days to arrive. He was able to start the furnace for testing but refused to let it run for a few minutes to heat the house up. Have an elderly person in the home who was very cold. Got a call 4 days later that the part arrived and they would come next week to install. I reminded them I had already paid them $326, including the emergency fee, and hoped to get the part installed faster. Was offered a next day appointment for another $175 emergency fee. Let them know my original emergency was still ongoing and paying another $175 was unconscionable given the situation. They disagreed. Well, so do I. Unbelievable.

Company replaced a couple A/C parts 40 days ago, cost at least $650 (I'm almost sure it was more with "trip fees" included, but they just told me over the phone the work cost $650). A/C already not working again, but they want to charge me a $100 "trip fee" just to come look at it, regardless of whether the work they did was faulty, then $199/hour on top if the problem is anything else. Time to find a new service.

**** - I am sorry to hear your ** unit broke down again. Without more information, it sounds like it was over a month ago that the first repair was completed.  If the ** unit broke down due a new failure then another charge may be incurred. However, if it was related to the ************ you have a one year parts and labor warranty on that work performed.  But our staff does have to go over the possibility that it could be charge. If you would like to discuss these charges our service manager would be happy to take a look for you.

On 3/4/22 I had a technician from Area Heating & Cooling come out and check over my heating and cooling system and install a new digital thermostat. What a joke! The thermostat did not work, the technician disconnected wires and basically the only thing he did that was right was change the air filter. Which as it turns out had been changed just 2 months prior by my room mate. Technician lied and said it was over a year old. Plus when I made the appointment for servicing, the scheduler didn't mention there was a hefty "out of area" fee for my area. The reason why I didn't complain sooner, is I felt uncomfortable with the technician and was worried about retaliation. Call it an expensive filter change and ****** learned. NEVER DO BUSINESS with Area Heating & Cooling!
