    I believe we were advantage of during our Thanksgiving Day visit! We were stressed dog parents, and we believe they were only looking to make a profit. Despite the fact that I appreciate the staff's consideration for my dog. When we first arrived, I explained to the lady at the desk what was going on; we had our dog on the floor to walk to show her how off balance she was, but she had improved, and we were discussing whether or not we should have her seen when the lady interrupted and said, "Give me the dog," and wanted to grab her from me; I didn't know what to do, so I just handed to her my dog; my bf became upset and walked out. Then she stated that a $500 deposit was required. Ok, I said, but they'll come to me and tell me what they' going to do ahead of time so I can approve it. She replied, "Yes, the doctor will come talk to you about the plan of care after the doctor does the exam." So far, I assumed it would be the main visit fee, Not long after, a lady approached me and told me what they thought had happened. She stated that they would induce vomiting. Unfortunately, our dog got into something she wasn't supposed to, but she has in the past; we were just unsure that day and had to bring her in just in case. They put us in a room and we didn't hear anything until they returned after about an hour. They proceeded to tell us that they did charocal, gave her medicine, and gave her an IV. This was not approved by us. They simply did what they pleased and charged us. If it had been a life-threatening situation, I could understand; however, if they had come and explained what they wanted to do, we could have thanked them and told them we'd rather deal with it at home. I'd be happy to pay those first fees and take her home to rest. During the checkout the lady gave us the price I couldn't believe. Especially because the last time this happened, our dog was off for the day and slept a lot but she didn't need all that stuff they did. They decided to do a bunch of procedures and not even check in with the pet parents, and especially when the lady at the desk saw my concern and questions about the deposit. They took advantage of this. I'm not a confrontational person, so I had to leave and process this all.
