The technician claimed to do a diagnostic test he did not perform. I was invoiced for this diagnosis so it's in writing. He claimed my generator was siezed up and had to be replaced as a result of this false diagnostic test. The replacement cost would be $6,800. The generator was not siezed up. The starter went out. It was replaced by my son and the generator runs fine. I recorded my son doing the diagnostic test the technician falsely claimed he did so we have video proof. When I asked the owner to get a hold of me regarding this false test and claim of a problem that did not exist, he got online with a huge amount of excuses and straight up lies.... he claimed I "refused more diagnostic tests" and many other false statements. Any further diagnostics were not offered. It was put IN WRITING that the generator was siezed. Why would any other diagnosis make any difference to this all ready FALSE STATEMENT AND FALSE DIAGNOSIS? The technician made this claim in front of my son, in addition to invoicing me for the test he didn't do, so there's more than enough proof. This technician also told me that the pistons were melted to the cylinder walls. When I called back to ask how they knew this without using a borescope, I was told "it's just ASSUMED when the generator siezes up", which is a SECOND false claim resulting from the diagnostic test that wasn't even done. We took this video back to the manager at this location, proving the technician didn't do any test. I was given my money back but this doesn't change the fact that the claims the technician made were FALSE. I was told by the owner that I "was lucky my son could remove the starter." Yes, "LUCKY" because it PROVED the technician did NOT TELL THE TRUTH.
