I have bought different furniture from this place, and I was a returning customer right until the last time. I had moved to a new home and decided to buy a new bedroom set for me and my son. They sold me a bed for my son that I was supposed to put together but they didn't tell me. If they had, I would have never chosen that bed frame. I only learned about that when they deliver the furniture and left me the boxes without a manual for me to figure out what to do. I called the store, they reassured me they were sending a technician to assemble the bed. It turned out it was all lies when I called corporate, and they said all sales were final; they could only give me a small store credit, and the stores were not able to request assembly of any of the furniture. I had to look for someone to assemble the bed and pay this person so the bed frame ended up being double for me. It also took two more weeks for my son to have a bed since I had to look for a person to assemble it. This was extremely inconvenient for me as a single mother. These people do not solve issues like this, the communication is minimal, they don't care about the customers and information is not fully disclosed when you buy furniture. I purchased a lamp from Ashley Furniture on January 25, 2025. I received the lamp on 2/3/2025 and it was broken when it came out of the box. I tried to return it to the store but was told they could not take it and I would have to call the number on my receipt. I called the number and was asked if any part of the lamp could be used. I responded that the lamp shade was the only thing that was not damaged. I was told by the representative they were sending me a new lamp shade! I explained to her that I did not need the shade but needed the lamp. I was told they could not send a replacement for the lamp. I then asked for a refund to be issued but was told they could not issue a refund either but that I needed to send a photo of the broken lamp. I sent the photo and then called back a second time to be sure they had received the photo and spoke with someone else who said they also needed a photo of the serial number. I sent that photo and once again asked if they could send a replacement or issue a refund. I was told they could not do either but someone from Ashley would contact me within a couple of days. After no response from Ashley I notified my credit card company to make them aware of the issue I was having. After notifying my credit card company I reached out to Ashley a third time and was told again that there was nothing they could do but that someone from Ashley should be reaching out to me. Approximately one month later I received notification from my credit card company that they were not able to get any kind of response from Ashley and therefore were taking the charge off of my card. At the beginning of June I did receive a call from someone at Ashley (not about the broken lamp) but to tell me that if I did not pay them for the lamp they would turn me over for collection and ruin my credit.Ashley Global Retail

Buyer Beware: Our Ashley Furniture Chest Was Infested with Powder Post Beetles!
We purchased a full bedroom suite from Ashley Furniture in Mesquite. Ten months later, we discovered the chest of drawers was infested with Powder Post Beetles—tiny insects that lie dormant in humid wood, then hatch and burrow through furniture, destroying it from the inside out. You can’t detect them at purchase. But once they emerge, the damage is extensive, irreversible, and won’t stop until they’re eradicated. Even worse, they can spread to other wooden items in your home.
We sent Ashley a demand letter requesting a refund for the chest, its sales tax, and a fair portion of the delivery fee. We even offered to arrange pickup of the infested piece. That letter included our sales order and was sent certified mail, so we know it was received.
We never heard a word back. No call. No letter. No acknowledgment. Nothing.
These bugs aren’t exclusive to the Mesquite, TX store. A quick online search shows similar complaints tied to Ashley locations across the country. Sadly, this seems to be a recurring issue—and one they appear indifferent about.
Bottom line: I’ll never purchase from Ashley again. Not just because they sold me bug-infested furniture, but because they refused to respond at all. Just terrible, all the way around.
You've been warned.
P.S. My wife said I did not convey how disgusting these bugs were. I'm not sure how to do that. Just know, we were all grossed out.
P.S.S. If you're in the DFW Metroplex and dealing with Powder Post Beetles, Urban Tree Merchants in Arlington can handle it. Great folks, with the know-how.

BUYER BEWARE!!! I purchased furniture from Ashley and was told if I purchased the home warranty, I would be able to use the value of warranty as store credit if I did not use the warranty. At the time of purchase, I was not told of any expiration date I had to use the credit. Now Ashley furniture is refusing to honor their agreement and commitment. They say its due to being old and change in ownership. This is disappointing and does not lead one to believe they are valued as a customer.
From previous purchases, I was able to use the credit without incident long after the warranty expired. And to top it off, the sales manager still tried to get me to purchase the items I was going to use the credit for, this is beyond disrespectful and a slap in the face.
Additionally, customer service was not able to help either when I discussed with them. This is a bait and switch and reflects badly on Ashley furniture. As I continue to purchase furniture for a house I recently purchased, I will no longer consider Ashley as an option now or for future purchases. I purchased a bedroom set from Ashley HomeStore in September 2023, specifically intending to buy a California King size bed. I trusted the salesperson’s guidance, and the receipt showed items labeled as “King/Cal King,” which I assumed meant I was receiving the California King configuration.
Fast forward to 2025 — I bought a California King mattress and discovered it doesn’t fit the bed. After measuring and checking the SKU details, I learned I was actually given a Standard King bed.
The slats (SKU B733-99) are clearly for a King only, while the headboard and footboard are vaguely marked as “King/Cal King.” Ashley’s website shows that California King beds have a different SKU altogether (B733-CSB). I never received that.
When I contacted customer service, they acknowledged the item was purchased over a year ago and refused to help — despite this being a fulfillment issue, not a warranty claim or return. The salesperson who handled the sale is no longer with the company, but that doesn’t change the fact that I received the wrong size bed.
I now have a mattress that doesn’t fit, and Ashley is unwilling to take any responsibility. Disappointing experience and poor customer support after the sale. I expected better from a national brand.Ashley Global Retail

They are unsympathetic and make promises they can’t keep, you tell them you are having company soon and need a set asap! Pass up on many liked pieces and select the one they say they can deliver on time. They deliver it incomplete and render the bed useless. Called in to see what they can do and they are now giving me the run around. Manager Alex ****** started to tell me I had to leave and when I got agitated that he would not address the issue he came up to me as I’m seated to antagonize me. I made no aggressive actions other then to ask why the manager they put me in touch with didn’t know how a head board connects to the base board, and I asked for someone more qualified to help me, I did say “how would the rest of your customers like to know how you deal with customers after your sale is complete” Embarrassingly left on my own will because I could see in their eyes they were ready to embarrass me publicly. Would not recommend taking your business here Make the mistake twice. Last time they took 2 months to deliver a complete set they told me was in stock when I went to buyAshley Global Retail

1 starOn March 22, 2025, I ordered a storage bench. It finally arrived May 17, but did not include the legs and hardware. I immediately called the store and was connected to corporate (the local phone number automatically connects to corporate). I inquired about returning the bench and was told returns are not allowed. Ashley has a zero return policy even when the item is substandard. Corporate has emailed 3 times claiming they couldn't reach me by phone (this has never occurred). Now the item I ordered in March cannot be used until the parts come in, which continues to be moved out each month. Now slated to arrive in August. I find it appalling that not only will Ashley not take back an item is missing parts and unusable, but corporate lies about trying to reach me on the phone, therefore, only emailing. If I could I would give nothing or negative I would. Buying and delivery no problem they had my money at that point. I bought a couch loved it on 4/6/2024. By 3/22/2025 I am calling the warranty bc the chaise base broke and the cushion has a dip in the middle plus the chair cover zipper broke. On 4/1/2025 I get an email that says in 2-4 weeks the parts will be there.( started the claim on 3/22/2025)Never came and it is 6/8/2025 I have been sent to two different stores to pick up parts only to find out they never do that. At the store I tried to get help but they couldnt. Someone told me they sent an email to three managers and I would get a call back waited three days never happened. I called today and finally got somewhere, so we will see if this works out not hopeful. I will never buy nor tell anyone to buy from Ashley since this is the worse customer experience I have had. Clearly their quality isnt very good I got a couch from ***** **** and it lasted 10 years before it broke.Ashley Global Retail

1 starMy husband and I found a bedroom set online we liked. We went in to the store to see it, and they did not have one to show us. We decided to order the set and did so at the store. Paid for it and left. It was delivered and we were not happy with the quality. 18 hours after delivery we called for a refund/return and were denied. All sales are final, they said. The salesman should have told you-he did not. We should have sent it back with the delivery driver-who didnt speak English and could not have told us this. Nor is he customer service. Terrible customer service, no communication, took our money and ran. Do not trust this company or buy anything from them. We were willing to take a store credit and spend more money for a better quality set.
