This is regarding Invoice # ******. I had spoken with an individual in the warranty department about an issue I had with an engine that was shipped to me with damage. I sent pictures on 06/27/22 that they had requested of the damaged engine. They informed me that they would send the information to a supervisor, and a decision would be made on the engine being replaced. I have called multiple times and sent emails, but no one has gotten back to me with a response. To this day I have not gotten any type of update. At this point, I informed them that I will be looking for another engine elsewhere, and am requesting a full refund for the engine that I paid $2,045.00 for and was shipped to me with damage.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The business denies the claim based on a 10 day window. Notably the business discusses when the engine has shipped, but fails to provide any proof as to when the engine was delivered (the business has access to those records), commencing the 10 day window. More importantly the business addresses the issue with the oil pan, but fails to dispute the crack on the block was not present when it was shipped. A full refund should be issued.

In response to the complainants rebuttal, the complainant did fail to mention to us that once delivered there was allegedly a crack in the block within 10 days from delivery. The engine must be installed, and the Free Warranty activated also within 10 days from delivery. If this does not happen, the Free Warranty is void. The complainants request for a full refund is not approved.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The company stated that we had 10 days after the delivery date to activate the warranty for the engine. The thing is they never provided us with a delivery date. They stated the engine was shipped out on 04/27/22, but never provided a specific date of when the engine was actually delivered to us commencing the warranty period. Due to this I still feel that I am entitled to a full refund of the damaged engine that was sent to me that was under warranty.

I bought an engine for my wifes 2014 Dodge Journey. The shipping of the engine was delayed due to being processed incorrectly. The engine was finally delivered past the time of promised delivery. It came on a pallet that was broke and the top of the engine was cracked. Upon further investigation by the dealership putting the engine in, there were two holes drilled in the manifold of the engine where coolant was leaking out. The engine was inoperable. I called the company, emailed pictures, and was told that I would be refunded for the engine. It was returned to the company in May 2022 and I have called, emailed, and left voicemails. I was finally told after I had called that I would not be refunded due the the engine being returned in multiple pieces and not operational. I saw the engine returned in tact before being put on the truck on a pallet with orange ratchet straps across it. Attached are pictures of how the engine was delivered, the report from the dealership, and a picture of the two holes drilled into the manifold.Business Response

We purchased an engine for $7705.00 from the beginning with delayed shipping to shipping issues then to Installation of bad engine. This has been a nightmare. We contacted them from the beginning with no response. They do not stand behind any part of the sale.We filed a complaint with credit card company and initiated a charge back to which they responded with lies. They produced paperwork claiming they shipped the engine and where it came from so chargeback was denied. I then went to issuing Bank of card. They reached out to the company directly so as to not have to file it again. The company then responded to the bank and told them they would send me a shipping to return engine and issue my refund.I reached out as requested they were prompt to answer emails explaining the process and admitting they said they would issue the refund. Then after the request they made were answered such as pictures of the issues with engine. Heat tabs.. they quit responding and still will not acknowledge us at all. I reached out to the company the engine came from. They I formed me they are a respectable salvage yard and wanted to help. They shipped me all pictures and shipping info they were provided from this company. Then they also informed me that the company I ordered from was not the company they sold this particular engine to. I went back to fed ex and requested shipping info and they said it was shipped to another state and place. Long story short it arrived here ***** freight on its side with oil pouring out and when I reached out to them after all of this I was told that the shipper would have to file to get a check issued. However the company will not help or respond. So was it bad from the yard? Bad from ****** Or changed out from somewhere else along shipping? I do not know. All I know is we are going to have to enter litigation and court to remedy this as noone seems to take any responsibilityBusiness Response

I bought a **** **** 7.3L diesel engine for $3980 they advertised on line that had been tested as good with 106K miles on it. After they had my payment it appears they did not have a engine at all and found a used engine at USAuto wrecking yard in ********* ******** and had it sent to me. This engine is no good as it has both heads with cracks in them. I contacted the wrecking yard that sent the engine and basically was told that I was not their customer and would not help at all. I contacted SWEngine's so called warranty **** which ends ** in the phillipines and is no help as they did nothing. They finally gave me their bosses name who operates out of *********. His name is Sancho **** at ************ or ************************* who asked me to send pictures which I did even though they would prove nothing. Being I was getting no help I had the heads sent to a machine shop in ********* to be repaired where they were proved to be cracked and deemed junk. I sent the results and another $400 **** to Sancho Pike which I have got not response back on. This engine was bought on their invoice #****** on 6/2/22. The wrecking yard that sent the engine for SWEngines in ********* ******** person I spoke to is ************************* who's email is ****************************** At this point I have a worthless $5000 engine that SWEngines seems to have no intention of helping with. I want either a complete refund or two good heads sent to me or another good engine sent. I feel that this is the only way they can make this scam they sold right.Business Response

I had the heads checked being the engine had very low compression. I tried to get the companies so called warranty **** to help but only got a response from the phillipines that they would look into it. Not until I pressed them did they give me a person in the states to talk to and he did nothing. You buy a engine you expect it to be good and when it wasn't they play a game saying you must have the engine installed in 10 days or the warranty is no good. You don't put a bad engine back in the truck when you know it is bad. Being I was getting no help from them I sent the heads to a machine shop to be checked where they were not repaired but deemed as junk. I had the heads from the original bad engine we took out repaired and have put on the engine we got from this company to make it usable. We are still in the process of getting this engine back in the truck being it has taken so much shop time to make it a usable engine. Their sales ads for the engines they sell and the way they put their warranty together is just all part of their scam. The public needs to be warned that this is not a reputable company to deal with. Their response is a joke!

I sent you back my response that I rejected their response but it is pretty obvious that this company has been thru this complaint thing many times. I would ask you to please just do one thing for me concerning this complaint. I purchased this engine from their on line site and their add showed that the engine I was buying had 106K miles on it. I know for a fact that they never had that engine and just purchased this used engine from the wrecking yard in ********* **. The wrecking yard is the one that sent me the engine, not SWEngines. I contacted the wrecking yard and asked if I could have the *** of the vehicle it came out of to verify the year as different years each had there own changes in the parts used in the engines although the different years were all compatible with what I needed. I also asked for verification that this engine had 106K miles on it. The wrecking yard refused to give me that info even though they sent me the engine as the buyer and I was told that I was not their customer, that ************************ was and they had sent all that info to them to pass on to me. They even offered to resend it to them if they lost it. I then contacted Sancho Pike at SWEngines and asked him to forward that information to me. Have never got it yet as I'm sure it proves this engine was not what they advertised and sold me for the $3895. If they are trying to be honest and reputable then I ask you to ask them to forward this information to me as at this point it is no skin off their back other then show that they were not honest in this purchase. Thank you.Business Response
