We ordered the Ultra Deck Fusion 2, light gray. Received a product, that had a strong hair like surface. I compared the product they sent me with the product on display. Other customers were there when I had a piece of the decking they sent me. They also commented that it was defective. They sent a letter back after I submitted a complaint, and requested them to replace the product they sent me with the product that was not defective. They sent me a letter, indicating that the hair like surface was for traction. The GRAIN in the decking was for traction!!! It appears to not be unsealed. Sent tons of pictures the second time I filed a complaint, and a month later have not heard from them. I just wanted someone to come out and see what I was talking about. But haven't heard from them. This is unacceptable!!! Even inquired about what I could use to seal it. No answer. I also found out that another customer who also ordered the same product and color, had the same problem. I was disappointed with ******* also, that they didn't appear to help in this problem. I showed the managers the product, and they agreed that it had a problem. Sooooo disappointed!! A lesson learned, just wanted to share, so that others will not have to go through this. We saved to be able to purchase this, and can't believe this company would treat us this way, will purchase railings elsewhere.

If I could give this company a "0" rating I would! I did everything as specified for installation, etc.. I filed a warranty complaint (7/10/23) after having the deck for a couple of years because the boards warped, and the boards are cracking, bubbling up and fading. It's suppose to have a 10 year warranty and have only had it for 4. I went through all of the steps and sent in the forms along with additional information and pictures that Midwest Manufacturing needed to see in order to review the claim. It has taken until today (9/25/23) to get an answer and them saying it's all normal to wear the way it did. **** PRODUCT!!!I will no longer buy UltraDeck products from this company and I will not recommend them to anyone - but I will surely warn them about them.

We have had the deck built two different times by two qualified contractors. Everything was done according installation instructions. Extra joist boards were installed for extra support, Joist were installed 18 inches on center, There is concrete footings used so it is not sitting on the ground and they made sure it was level the whole length of the deck. The boards are not just warped in one spot so it is not just one area. I don't understand what some of this has to with the boards, cracking, bubbling up and fading. We have had the deck 8 years and the the company only offers a 10 year warranty which tells me they don't expect the boards to last anymore than 10 years. I have read plenty of reviews on the ultra decking and other people have been experiencing the same problems with the boards cracking and warping. People have also mentioned the company will not honor their warranty/stand by their product only to continue to blame the problems on installation. I wonder what installation has to do with the boards cracking, bubbling, and fading? You can't tell me every contractor that is installing their boards are installing it wrong. I only wish I had used Trex decking because I can't afford to replace it at this point. So disappointing to spend the kind of money I did only to have it turn out like this.
