      On July 14th, I purchased a $957.96 brand new 2.5 Mercury outboard motor for my rowboat. What I hadnt expected was to have to row my rowboat while using my NEW motor. I attempted to go fishing 4 times and 4 times I had to oar back. In between fishing attempts, I brought motor back to Bass Pro / Tracker Boats where I purchased it. Please keep in mind I live on the water, have had numerous ************** all my life and do know how to start & operate them.Service to date:7/22/22 Brought to Bass Pro/Tracker Boats after trying to pull over 20+ times. Bass Pro put in a tank and started multiple times; they believe it to be customer error. Asked them to give me a new motor, upgrade and I would pay the difference or to refund my money. They apparently cant do any of this. I left with motor only to have it happen again.7/29/22 - ************* back to Bass Pro/Tracker Boats. Per Mercury, they believe it has a bad carburetor, so they put in a new one and changed the spark plug. 8/8/22 A couple days ago brought motor back to Bass Pro/Tracker Boats. Work order indicates they tested in tank and it works. Bass Pro brought motor to my house, tested on my boat. Bass Pro was able to start motor in 10 pulls. Drove boat, turned off & was able to restart in 15 pulls. When they got back to my dock and shut it off, it would not start after 17 pulls.8/15/22 Bass Pro/Tracker Boats came out again; Mercury states they should change the coil & plug. Work order states tested in tank and started. Got to my house; started with 1 pull; went about 2 miles, shut off, was able to restart after 40 pulls. Got back to dock shut off and it would not restart. Mercury now says they should try starting with ether.8/17/22 Called Mercury and spoke with ***, he kindly advised me I need to be more patient. He did not want to muddy the waters. I got nowhere with him.It has been over 1 month and I do not care to have this junk fixed, I would like a refund.

      I guess I should have waited just one more day before filing my complaint, I received a voicemail last evening that stated they would be issuing me a refund finally.
