They charged me to look at my washer, offer a repair that costs as much as a new washer. Then then claim to kinda fix the issue as a favor to see if I want to really do the fix. I then tried out my washer and is still the same. Called customer service and they say they can't do anything about it and because the guy came out to peek (diagnose) the issue I have to pay the peek fee. So now my washer is still broken and I'm out of $134,

Dryer wasn't drying and I was out of town. Called Mr. Appliance. Very easy to schedule someone. I also went online and diagnosed that the issue was probably the thermostat. $5.34 for the part from Amazon. I ordered, but kept the appt. Too much going on with the Holidays so I had Tom come over who has been great and reasonable for past repairs. Tom was at my home with my wife and quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue. It was the thermostat. 20-30 minute visit. $5.34 part = $250!!!! I just do not understand where they can charge such outrageous labor costs when a new dryer is $700ish. I feel like if I was there, I would have said no way, but I was not. Cautionary tale.

It looks as if you used ** for a no part repair in March for $210, and again in July for a no part needed repair for $150. The repair in Novemeber did require a part. I am sure you can likely find the part used online for considerably cheaper than we charge. They do not have the overhead of our payroll, customer ********************** staff, insurance, vehicles, gas, and carrying cost of parts. The parts ordered online also do not come with a 12 month part and labor warranty as ours do. An average repair on a dryer is around $230.00 in todays repair environment due to rising costs. I appreciate your feedback and apologize for your dissatisfaction, we try to avoid that by giving an exact quote up front before the repairs are completed once we know what is needed.
