1 starPrepaid for an annual service contract for my backup generator and scheduled an appointment for service. I spent the whole day waiting for someone to show up or call and no one ever did. I called the next day, and a receptionist took my call, telling me my information would be passed along, and I would get a return call ASAP. It never happened. Now in hindsight I see numerous ****** reviews from people who had the same experience as I did.Review fromMark C

We had our furnace and air conditioning purchased and installed by Mr. Holland’s a little over 2 years ago — and to be clear, I have no complaints about that part of the experience. The real issue began when we signed up for their regular maintenance plan, which we pay for monthly. Since then, it has been nothing short of chaotic and frustrating. Most of the time, we hear nothing from them. We’re left chasing them down just to get basic services scheduled. And on the rare occasion something is scheduled, it’s often canceled at the last minute due to vague “unforeseen circumstances." Trying to reschedule and get answers is a dead end — the customer service reps are only able to say they’ll “talk to a technician and call back,” which, never happens. It’s become crystal clear that paying customers like me, who are on a maintenance plan, are at the bottom of the priority list — always pushed aside for repairs. The result? No reliable cadence, no accountability, and a service that only happens if you relentlessly follow up. I think they have come out only one time since the purchase. (I DID NOT expect monthly service, but at least quarterly or biannually.) Today I called to cancel the plan out of sheer frustration, and even that was a frustrating. I was told I wouldn’t get a confirmation email — instead, someone would call me to confirm the cancellation. This kind of runaround is unacceptable. This is not just poor customer service — it’s complete disarray. If you’re considering their maintenance plan, think twice. I’m paying for a service that feels like a constant battle to receive...even though they get my payment every month! We will be seeking out another business to perform the maintenance, so that we at least we know we are getting a service in return for our payment.Mr. Holland's Home Services, LLC

1 starNo stars would be better! A Day in the Life ! Be CAREFUL! Do not trust Holland Plumbing ! Pricing is astronomical! We needed our new well water tank hooked up. (We had the tank itself as it was provided under warranty) The new tank required the piping to be modified to fit. Mr. Hollands sent their tech out who examined the system and quoted $1833!!! ******* ******** just completed the installation for $514 including repairing a leak in our R/O system not included in the Mr. Hollands quote! 1/3 the price of Hollands! The photo shows the 3 1/2" of shinny new copper tee that needed to be installed to make the new tank fit our system! $1,833 Mr Holland ???? !!!! "Come on man!!! " ******** charged $59.00 for parts and two hours to complete the job! Oh! By the way, Mr. Holland’s cancelled our first appointment, on the morning of the appointment, stating their tech was ill, couldn’t reschedule for another week so I missed two days of work waiting on them.Review fromPeter S

They outright lied about their yearly service package. They technician told me (and showed me) that it WOULD NOT auto renew and after call them it turns out that it was a lie. Avoid this company.Mr. Holland's Home Services, LLC

I called Mr. Holland's Home Services to check and possibly replace the battery on my back-up sump pump. The company said there would be a minimum charge of $89 (as I recall), and I said yes, go ahead. The tech came on Friday afternoon at 3:30 (not an emergency) with a new battery. He changed it and was finished at 4:00. For that routine service he charged $908, plus $50 tax. I had to pay before he left the house. I found later that he paid a maximum of $325 for the battery, meaning the service charge was at least $583, plus $50 tax. The invoice was a flat price, and contains no hint of how much the company charges per hour or per service call, and there is no separate charge for the battery. Neither the bill nor the website indicates where their office is located; it provides only a P.O. Box. I called to complain, but it took a week to have a conversation with a manager, who lectured me on how their charges have to cover their tech salaries and company overheads. She would not address their failure to itemize, or the question of whether the company has standard service rates. I had thought Mr. Hollands was a reputable company, but it seems to operate without transparency or accountability. If you have to call them to your house, be sure to negotiate a reasonable price before the tech begins work.Mr. Holland's Home Services, LLC

I have used Mr. Hollands services on multiple occasions. They provide great service, they are efficient and respectful of my home. NICK and his partner were no exception! They came into a bad situation and expertly repaired the broke pipes. They did so efficiently, with respect for me and my property. They explained each step . Hunter recently gave my AC unit a tune-up. He was professional, personable and knowledgeable. My questions were responded to with clear and concise answers. I asked his opinion on a few heating/cooling matters and have complete faith that he was honest in sharing his thoughts. Mr. Holland’s Home Services ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Critical: Quality, Value Paid $8000 for a mobile home furnace and ac. Had Holland insall our last one for $5000 13 years ago. Everytime we had routine maintenance done on that unit, something was always wrong and we had to pay for a service call. It finally stopped working on the coldest day of the year. I think $8000 is outrageous, but considering it was freezing out and our water and sewer froze, I didn't have time to shop around and I think the technician took advantage of the fact that I was desperate. They did install next day, which I appreciate. However, we have had to call twice for the new ac unit. It will run for 8 or more hours just to maintain 76 degrees. The first time service came, they said it wasn't calibrated correctly and didn't have enough refrigerant. Now it's doing the same thing again! There was nothing wrong with my old unit, but they insisted that I replace both together. This unit seems to be smaller and less efficient. Meanwhile my electric bill is soaring. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with Hollands service for the life the units. I just hope I don't get a service charge for them to come out on Wednesday to look at it. It's only 7 months old.
