On 4/10/25, I booked a vacation package (flight + hotel with travel insurance) with United Vacations involving a flight with United Airlines. I paid a deposit of $339, which included $89.99 for travel insurance. The next day (April 11), I called again because I wanted to upgrade a segment of my round trip to 1st class. Someone with the name of **** put me on hold for a long time. When he returned to the phone, he said if I was going to upgrade my trip, it needed to be the entire round-trip, which involved two stops. I said I only wanted to upgrade part of my trip, which I could do at the United Airlines website, but I would have had to pay the balance due & didn't want to pay it right away. So, I asked him if I could use my United miles to upgrade my trip. He put me on hold for a long time again! It seems that this guy was new & everytime I asked a question, he has to go ask someone. After he came back & said no,I just wanted to cancel my trip. He said if I did, I would not get any money back because I have passed the 24 hour period for cancelation. I asked for a Manager. He refused to pass me a Mgr. As of today, no one has called me about my complaint.Initial Complaint

I recently booked a surprise trip for my brothers 40th birthday through United Airlines Vacations. Since he's a huge ***** fan, I thought it would be great for him and his wife to attend a ***** game on his actual birthday, ************. Given the recent loss of our other brother and father within the last six months, I wanted this birthday to be something truly special to lift his spirits. I planned everything carefully and booked their trip from October *****. While making the reservation, I noticed two options for the trip: standard economy, which cost $1,597.38, and premium economy for $2,424.28. Since my brother is 6'3", I chose premium economy to make sure he had the extra legroom. I completed the booking and paid using Uplift. However, after finalizing the reservation, I noticed the only seats available were toward the back of the plane, which are typically standard or basic economy seats. Considering I had paid $2,424.28 for premium economy, I reached out to United via chat and an agent named Tin insisted that I had only paid for standard economy and that my booking was made through a travel agency, which wasnt true. I booked directly through the United vacation site and had clearly selected premium economy. I had the price breakdown showing I paid an extra $828 for premium economy, but Tin wouldnt acknowledge that there was a mistake. The conversation ended without a resolution, leaving me feeling frustrated and ignored. This whole experience has been extremely disappointing. I paid an additional $414 per person for premium economy, yet I didnt receive the seats I had booked. Im being overcharged by $828, and if I hadnt caught the error, I would be stuck paying for something I never received. I was trying to do something special for my brother in light of the grief weve been through, and United Airlines seems indifferent to making things right. All I want is for United to honor the premium economy seats I paid for.Initial Complaint

i had a trip travelling ( 7/21- 7/25) booked with united vacations that was canceled by united on 7/20 due to the country wide outage. I called united vacations and was finally able to reach them on 7/21 late night regarding the cancellation. i was told to call united direct for the airline portion of the refund and that i would have to write an email to the ****************** in ******* to ask for approval (because of the special circumstance ( Outage) to ask for a refund instead of credit. I was told by united that a refund was issued and a check was sent to United vacations and then United vacations would issue credit to me. on 8/6 I called back united vacations and was told my refund from the ****************** in ******* was approved for a refund and that it would take 15 business days for the refund to process to my credit card. on 8/13 i called united vacations again regarding the airline portion of the refund and was told that they received the check from United airlines and the refund was issued and would take 15 business days. on 8/13 I also confirmed that my refund for the hotel portion was in process.Today on 8/29/24 I called again to check on the status of the two refunds and was told that they would have to redo the " paperwork" because for an unknown reason it was cancelled and did not go through! then the representative proceeded to tell me that the hotel portion was a credit not a refund. I stated to him that on 8/6 i was informed that the ****** hotel approved the refund and that it was processed. he then said to me that yes he sees in the notes from 8/6 that the refund for the hotel portion was approved, and that they have to review the recording from the call from 8/6 to confirm what the representative on 8/6 said to me confirming the notes. also for the airline portion the representative told me on 8/29 that he was reissuing the refund for the airline portion because it was cancelled for some reason and i would have to wait another 30 days!Initial Complaint

I booked a vacation for my children and I through United Vacations. Unfortunately, I encountered unforeseen illnesses that didnt allow me to travel during the dates planned. I reached out too United vacations, explained to them my circumstances only to be told they could only refund me part of the hotel reservations and that if I wanted to get a refund from the airline, I would need to contact them directly. I did just that. The airline sent United Vacations a check with a full refund of all my airfare. I have called united vacations 5 times in the last 2.5 months only to be told lies that I will get my refund on my credit card. Everyone I call theres a different reason why I havent received the full refund given to me by the airline. I want my money back immediately.Initial Complaint

How did you hear of this company? I heard about this company through a ************** that is ran by one of the company's agents. Her name is ************************
2. What was promised to you? What was received? What was promised to us was an all-inclusive 5 star accommodation vacation for our family and friends, with rooms next to one another, including flights, private transfers to and from the hotel, a free excursion (in TINY font at the resort this excursion was only if we paid for one), all food, and alcohol.
3. How much did you pay? What was your method of payment? We paid $8,000. We paid with my husband's Apple credit card. My husband's name is ****************************
4. Please list all names of individuals you dealt with as well as email addresses and phone numbers. ***** is the only person I dealt with. I wrote her an email regarding this and her response was that she forwarded the complaint to United Vacations. No other communication was received regarding this. Her email is **********************************
5. Please include a copy of your contract. I did not have a contract, however, a receipt with "all sales are final" is included. A contract would indicate that I countersigned it, and we had agreed upon stipulations on both sides. I have absolutely no issue with all sales being final. However we all purchased insurance for $100 per person. What I do have an issue with is being booked for a hotel that was NOT what we promised, being treated like we are stupid, people breaking into my mom's room, being sick because of airlines overselling seats and being coughed on, and being shaken down for cash for a gazebo we pre-booked and paid cash for, only to find out the money was pocketed by one of the employees. There was a LOT that happened on that trip. And having worked in this part of travel previously, I can tell you that this was unprofessional at best, and fraud if we really nail down into this trip.Initial Complaint

We book a trip on the United Vacations site. We paid for $264 for non stop transit from airport to hotel. We waited for 90 minutes for our van and stopped twice before getting to our destination.Initial Complaint

I booked a trip for Jan ***** leaving from Ord going to ******, which was $3433, I had to cancel me and my kids because I was having female problems and to seek a doctor **** and doing so I had to have surgery. I had insurance for the trip and everything. I've been calling them since May 16 trying to reschedule or rebook my trip for my kids birthday which is Sept. 25, they have been giving me the run arounds will not let me speak to a supervisor or haven't came up with nothing. They informed me that the hotel will extend my stay until Dec 17th, 2022 but doesn't have my credit up at all. My twins will be turning 16 in September and I would like to take them there. I'm not looking for a refund just a rebook. They also asked for my medical records, I sent those in to them and still nothing. I've been calling since May 16 and also had a friend call as well.
