I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned Outback from Sommers Subaru in 2023. We like the vehicle. On 11/18/24 it would not start. I jump started it and charged it.Same thing happened on 11/19/24. Same thing again on 11/20/***** I called Sommers service ***** and they got me in later that afternoon. I had to jump start it again for the trip to ******. After about 2 hours, the *** said the service tech ***orted the battery tested good" on their equipment. I asked how it was possible since it went dead 4 or 5 times. I requested that the battery be ***laced per the warranty since it would not start numerous times. They said they had to go by the "good" reading on their testing equipment. I told them that was absurd and drove it back ********* day it was dead once again! I called Sommers again and the *** said they could not ***lace the battery. He suggested that I bring the Outback in to them and let it set for a few days. I asked about a loaner and was told there were none available...because of the holiday. What the holiday has to do with the loaners available makes no sense. Then I was told the first available would be in early Dec. 2025. After a few days thinking about the above fiasco, I decided to take it to another Subaru dealer. I took it to Wilde Subaru at 10 am and at 10:55 the *** came out and said it was all set to go! The service tech had found the battery was bad and it was ***laced per the warranty. The $609 cost was fully covered! The above indicates that either Sommers testing equipment and procedure is totally defective or something more nefarious is at play.

On Sunday May 28th 2023 our 2022 Subaru Wilderness Outback with **** miles on it, blew a Yokahama tire. It was determined that a cord let loose. I called Sommers Subaru on Tuesday May 30th to fine out what to do, they said bring the tire in, I brought the tire in on Friday June 2nd. I also called Yokahama on Tuesday May 30th and received a case number *****. ******** also told me to take the tire in so Sommers could verify the issue. We heard nothing back from Sommers for over a week so I called them and was told they have not heard from ********. I called ******** and was told by ***** that they sent an email out to Sommers on June 9th. I called Sommers to let them know what ******** had said. They said they would look into it and called back saying ******** will pay 70% of the bill and we would have to cover 30%. Another week or two goes by and we heard nothing from Sommers so I called again and they said that tire rack there distributer needs the payment from Yokahama so I call Yokahama. ********* told me that they sent the payment. So Sommers tells me they will call there distributer (tire rack). I end up calling Subaru customer advocacy and received an email from them with a case number 230627-1801097. They are working on it and said they would assist and contact Sommers to get this resolved. Today July 7th 2023, 39 days after contacting Sommers I called again and they asked me how many miles are on the car. I told them **** miles they said NO how many are on the car now, I said ****** now. I can not believe the run around they have given us when the $40,000 car was purchased at there dealership. They should have put a new tire on and said they will figure out the rest later. We still have no idea when we will get a tire.
