On or about 10/2021 SWAT Environmental was contracted to mitigate Radon from *************************************************************. SWAT Environmental guaranteed results of less than 4.0 pCi/L and we were given a warranty that was good for 5 years. The system was tested post completion and failed to mitigate promised results. I contacted the company to check their product and then was told to have several test done at different lengths of time as suggested by ****. Those test results were completed by different laboratories and all rendered results over 4.0 pCi/L. SWAT received results direct from these laboratories and was fully aware of increasing level. I have had numerous conversations with the technicians who fail to mitigate, check or evaluate their equipment. SWAT has willfully and intentionally exposed my family to unsafe levels of deadly Radon.Business Response

We have attempted to mitigate the radon in this house on at least four occasions with multiple techniques and equipment. The home sits directly on bedrock which it makes very difficult to move air. It also is difficult to find the entry points that the radon may be leaking through because majority of the basement is finished. We have already spoken to the PA ********** of Environmental Protection, and they understand the situation. We are in the process of issuing a full refund to the customer.Initial Complaint

I had SWAT Environmental installed Radon Mitigation system at my house, the technician's name was ******. After that, every time I got heavy rains, the water ********** from the cut in the roof where the pipe goes through. SWAT Environmental sent 2 technicians out ***************** none of them can fix the leak. One technician (******) told me he would talk to his manager to send a roofer to replace the roof boot, which is July 8th, 2022. After that, I haven't heard anything back from SWAT Environmental. Last time I called them at Sep. 9th, I was told a manager will call me back in 1 or 2 hours. Never received any phone calls from SWAT Environmental. I just want SWAT Environmental to fix the leaking they caused.Customer Answer

I recently purchased a home which a elevated levels of radon so the sellers paid this company, SWAT environmental, to handle the problem. The man shows up and cant find a place to install the equipment without leaving holes in ceilings and poles in closets so I asked him to call his boss to see if hes ever encountered a home where the utility room is located on the front of the house instead of the back (that seems to be a problem!) he refused and went on a spill about how hes been doing this for 5 years therefore needs no help so I find a wall leading to the backyard in the game room since the utility room was a problem. He proceeds to work and then he replaces the sump pump with one that is submersible but the problem is he only has one that isnt working right and will not shut off! So he calls his bosses (now he needs advice-go figure!) but he assures me that he has to install it just to see if the ventilation system is running but h*** be back to replace it with one that is working properly. So I reluctantly agree and finishes the job the system is working. The problem is that it has been 3 days and several phone calls and no one has called me back or came back to complete the job they started! They removed a working sump pump that was brand new and replaced it with one that will not shut off once it starts! I cant get ahold of corporate or anyone. I have left several messages and I cant believe this so called company! So now when my system is messed up, I most certainly cant call them, they cant even come back and finish the job they started! The kicker is that the sellers have already paid them and even charged them for the broken sump pump they installed! I need help! I need to find the address of this company so that I can file a lawsuit or for them to reach out to me and make this right, immediately!!!!!Business Response

Mid july,2022; faulty installation, tore up a code required exterior vent, billed me $817 of which not more than $200 is valid if they allow me to keep the fan mother. I must replace the vent after the faulty radon system is removed. A local radon reduction installer reviewed pictures of the installation by SWAT Enviromental and stated it violates code in several respects and must be removed and properly reinstalled. The local installer stated his opinion that a full refund of the $817 is appropriate.Business Response
