Appointment was scheduled for them to evaluate an existing system which they installed. They took my credit card number to reserve the appointment. No one showed up. No one called. No one returned my calls. The business (who is no longer with doing business with) has my credit card information.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

After no follow up action from the company (showing up for the appointment, returning my phone calls, etc), I did go with another provider. I am glad that they have deleted my credit card information but still have no idea why they chose to have such poor business practices with an existing customer. It makes no sense. When I s**** up, I apologize and make it right.

Hi there,SWAT Environmental emailed "yes, radon reduction is typical between 80%-90%." when I asked if they can guarantee >70-80% reduction in basement Radon level. They installed a Radon system in summer 2024 and I paid. However, the radon level did not decrease at all through the year, and they asked 300 dollars more for a second suction point to give a ******** regards,

Our technician came out on 6/3/25 and as he stated you need to retest with a charcoal test when it is not raining which you had done previously. When our technician was on site your continuous monitor was reading at 2 on the first floor.

My continuous monitor reads around 2.5 on first floor and around 5 in basement for no rainy days where the radon system is. If you prefer me to test it using charcoal test, please send a new test kit to me. The issue is basement and the continuous monitor shows no improvement compared with before. Thanks!

**** installed a radon mitigation in my home on 06/06/2025. The technician rushed through the installation and in the process drilled through the electrical lines to the outlet that services the sump pump. Due to this, we had to hire an electrician to fix the damages. I immediately called the person I was in correspondence with by the name of ***** *****. We requested multiple times via phone and email if someone could come out and check the installation of the system as not only did the tech damage the electric, the sealant/caulk application to seal off the sump pump was heavily applied and as a result dripped into the sump leaving gaps before drying. **** did agree to cover the expense of the electrician which they deducted from the total bill. As any reasonable homeowner would be- we were concerned about the shoddy installation and simply wanted someone to check the system and address our concerns in a timely manner before we paid the remaining balance due. Instead, our calls and emails were left unanswered in which SWAT ghosted us. Since 06/06/2025 we have sent multiple calls to multiple people/contacts and an email seeking resolution to address these stated issues. I sent a final email on 06/20/2025 stating that I will seek out another radon mitigation company to help us to check if the system is in working order. As of this morning on 06/25/2025 I received a grossly unprofessional voicemail from an employee of **** by the name of ****** threatening us for payment or else be sent to collections and a lien placed on my home. This is the first time we ever heard from this person or anyone from **** about getting this issue resolved. After consulting legal advice, we paid the final balance today and will be escalating our case for damages/and the cost of fixing and repairing an unfinished job. Our *************** Realtor was informed of our situation and informed them against referring them to clients as they are an unprofessional, untrustworthy business.

Our service team reached out to you and left a message on 6/16/25 and 6/20/25 letting you know we could not come out for service until the invoice was paid. Since the payment is now processed and paid as of 6/26/25 we can now come out to the home and address any concerns you have. Please give us a call and select option 2 for service and they can get that set up for you.

I was not contacted by the business on those dates nor was any voicemail or text left.  I only received the call threatening a lean on my house from ****** on 6/25.  I am not asking for a service call, I simply wanted a manger to come out and look at the shotty install job and ensure the system was working prior to payment since it was not on when the tech left.  I still want a manager to come out and inspect the system. Not another inexperienced tech. I have since paid the invoice still with an inop system.

We had a radon mitigation system installed on 7-1-21. Recently our sump pump went out and had to be replaced to avoid a flooded basement. The sticker on the sealed cover stated that we were to call so we could get instructions to properly re-seal the cover. Over the last two weeks we have called and left several messages, we have attempted a chat that ended in being transferred to a text message that said we would receive a return text shortly. We did not. We have texted that number, all with no response. The radon levels in our basement were significant and posed a health hazard. We need to get the system sealed back up as soon as possible.

The previous homeowner installed a radon system by this company a month before I moved in. It started beeping a couple years later, and I called the company for service starting April 1st 2025. I have called them constantly since then and cannot get someone on the phone or get a call back. I have left multiple messages with my personal details so they can get in contact with me. It has 29 days, almost an entire month.

Previously SWAT environmental installed our Radon Mitifation System. Recently we have had strong winds in our area. The brackets on the outside of the house that hold the large venting pipe that goes up to the roof may not have been installed tightly enough. The screws holding the brackets became loose and a neighbor noticed that the large venting pipe was basically flapping in the wind. My husband is in his late seventies and can not safely get up on a high ladder, which we don't have anyway, to reattach the brackets.I have left detailed messages for the *********************** both by phone and using their online chat, and not received any response thus far. As I mentioned to them in my phone messages, I don't recall if the mitigatiom system installation is under our name or the realtor who arranged it, and I provided them with my address and contact information. In order to prevent the pipe from further flapping around and maybe breaking off, I attached it in a couple of places with duct tape as I didn't hear back from ****. This is definitely not strong enough to hold it for long though but all I could do on my own.I am just asking that they replace or repair the attaching brackets soon as possible.

Back in 2018, we ordered a radon mitigation system installation from ****. ** it was a condition of the home purchase, we split the cost with the seller. Unfortunately, the system was incorrectly connected to a drain termination originating in the laundry room not a proper collection ****** a result, the system never worked. Over the years, I placed repeated service calls. Each time, the technician would leave and I would retest the levels. For continuous monitoring, I bought an Airthings Wave and an Airthings Corentium to monitor the levels, but the levels never dropped. These levels continued for years, but since it was primarily a seasonal place, I would place a service call and have a technician come out once per season. The seasonal cycle was due to the technicians often refusing to work when there was ************ on the ground around the unit, which is ***************** 2023, my son attended a local university and began living in the home full-time, making resolution more urgent. After renewed outreach, I got a technician scheduled for 4/29/2024 at least the 4th visit since install. I believe the technicians name was Al. He removed the original pump, confirmed it was incorrectly connected, and said, "The original guys were idiots the way they did the installation, and there was very little material removed from below the slab to make the collection effective." He then installed a new pump, a new hole through the slab, and a new collection pit.Weve now had a year with daily levels <3pCi/L, averaging 1pCi/L. Despite multiple technician visits, no one identified the original flaw until Al. ** a result of the work by the original technician, never discovered by the subsequent technicians, we lived for many years with unsafe radon levels. The final issue: I was charged $820 for Als fix, despite the system having never worked properly due to ***** initial error. Al suggested I seek a refund, but after months of monthly calls, Ive had no response.

I understand the business' position is that the technician's provided time for each visit. I do not think they provided additional materials at any of the return visits, but perhaps I'm mistaken. Regardless, that does not change the fact that the initial installation was flawed and none of the subsequent visits were able to address the issue. The original technician connected directly to a drain for my laundry room. There was almost no remediation provided, because the installation was sucking air from inside the basement and was not correctly sucking air from a pit below the building slab.

Was quoted $816 for a job. Was misinformed by the installer on several occasions which has resulted in my having to pay additional costs to electricians and roofers. Upon completion of the work I was told that my bill would be $300 more than originally quoted. Asked to speak to a manager, however, I have not been called back. Work was completed on April 10, 2025.

Disappointed with the installation quality and outcome. While the installer was courteous, the radon levels in our home remain high. After consulting a friend whos an experienced radon mitigation professional, I learned the system was installed incorrectly. We already had a passive radon system in place, but instead of activating it with a fan, the installer added a completely new system on the back of the house. This not only overlooks the existing infrastructure but may actually worsen airflow by causing the active system to draw from the passive one, reducing effectiveness.Additionally, the exterior pipe is poorly presenteddirty, with visible lettering facing outwardand, concerningly, what looks like dried blood on it. Overall, I wouldnt recommend this service unless there are major improvements in both technical knowledge and attention to detail.
