These people at this property management company have been talking renters money after they move out the property management is racist. They also got mad cause the tents ask for they on call never came out when I asked for new blinds that I ask him to give me the measurements so I can go get new blinds Why the blinds were like that in the first place because my heat never went off all summer long. imagine coming in your house all summer 90° heat outside you come inside a box that feels like a 110 so therefore the blinds and the windows had to stay open for me to get proper ventilation of the heat and oxygen in there.. when I asked him to come and fix the blinds and the AC. He told me I’m in Wisconsin doing something deal with it.so when I gave them my 45 day notice here come the harassment and I took pictures of the whole apartment and don’t even want to give them any stars

Thank you for reaching out in regards to the complaint received. This tenant had previously left a ****** review with some discrepancies in his review. His ****** review is below in which our response is below that as well. Original Review:Now they took my money said that the apartment was nasty no as you can see a few paces of trash now why all this came when I gave a ************************************************************************************************************************************ I call the state cause its illegal to have a space heater I also have a picture of that. See the man down stairs and I was going the same way cause they ask for more rent he got a new everything me dail tone and delete message lock out the resident portal and all so I dont give this property management company zero stars ask me they lie to get you in then pull the rug from under you with all the foul play as for later rent that was never the problem cause if I was late I put the extra rent in so for yall to try me so playing with me see you in court I ask yall to fix the heating the hole wenter and some of the summer see that why I took. Pick of the company that was call to fix ox I ask yeah 6 months in to the lease that my apartment need some touch up the maintenance man told me he in ********* putting in air conditioner then I asked him if I measure them will they bring me the blinds no blinds to be truthful I pay my bills even if I get behind I still pay until it paid off but I promise before you hurt my name I will fight with all my mightOur original response to his review:In regards to you not getting a security deposit return, you left without paying an entire months rent and that also meant having a late fee, as per your lease, applied to your account. The rent that you did not pay in addition to the late fee, was more than the deposit that you had on file. In regards to your heat, in January ************************************************** August ************************************************************************** July and in August you wanted us to replace the blinds as you claimed they were broken from the wind. However, the blinds were very broken and that is not the owners responsibility to pay to replace items that a tenant damages above "normal wear and tear". As your photos show, you did not leave the unit as per your checkout requirements and you were charged a minimal fee for cleaning and the carpets were left very dirty and had to be cleaned, which you could have had professionally cleaned and proven with receipt but you chose to not do that.

Zero stars. Took safety deposit and charged me for them to do standard routine maintenance and cleaning for a new tenant. They are ripping people off and no one should rent from them

At the initial deposit return, estimated final utilities were withheld ($200.00), $295.46 was withheld for cleaning, and $280.00 for carpet cleaning. She emailed " **Utility ****************:** - It was stated that a $200 utility bill was outstanding. However, at the time of my move-out, all utility bills had been paid except for the water bill, which is not due until July 26th. As the utility bill was neither overdue nor received at the time of my departure, this charge should not be deducted from my security deposit."Her lease states the following for the utility charges: Pg 13 "Tenant agrees to pay said utilities in a timely manner, prior to any penalties being assessed, and to present a paid final receipt to Landlord. In the event Tenant does not pay said bills in a timely manner, or in the event a final receipt is not presented upon surrender, Landlord may, at its option, contact the utility provider, obtain the balance and pay the amount due." and "Any unpaid utilities that are not paid when a tenant vacates will be deducted from the tenants' security deposit." and "Pg 19, Initial Spot #5- All utility charges must be paid in full by Tenant and all ************* door remotes must be returned to our office at the time of vacating. Any unpaid utilities are Tenants obligation; if we have made deductions from your security deposit and you would like reimbursement if you have already paid the bill, you must submit a paid receipt from the corresponding utility company."Her move out calculation also stated "In the event that we have not received proof of utilities paid in full, $200.00 will be withheld from your security deposit until proof is provided from tenant or utility company."She was responded to via email with this: ^ In the event that we have not received proof of utilities paid in full, $200.00 will be withheld from your security deposit until proof is provided from tenant or utility company. She provided proof of paid utilities on 7/26 and a check was placed in the mail the same day, 7/26 for the $200 withheld for the utilities as well as the whole cleaning fee. After further review of the photos from the cleaning company that was hired, we did not deem it as dirty as what we were invoiced for. With that, even though Applegate had to pay the company to go into the property and clean, we did not feel it fair to the owner or to the tenant to have to pay for what was invoiced, therefore Applegate themselves paid the cleaning bill and the tenant was refunded and the owner did not have to pay for the cleaning either. In total, she was mailed back $495.96 on 7/26.The only thing that stayed for charges is the $280 carpet cleaning, and we quoted the move out procedures document that was sent to her. B) FLOORS must be absolutely clean! Scrub floors and remove excess wax and black marks. Pay close attention to the corners and edges of the floors for dirt and grime build up. If carpets are dirty and/or stained, you should consider having them shampooed. If you have them professionally cleaned, please submit that receipt as proof to the office upon move out.The tenant is responsible to read their legally binding lease in its entirety as well as the procedures that they are given to follow as a reminder. We can not control what a tenant does and does not read and in this case, had she read the information that she signed in regards to her utlities, there would have not been the utlility charge withheld until proof was submitted that she paid. If she would have had the carpets cleaned on her own and submitted that proof to us, that also would not have been withheld. We, Applegate *** apologized for what we felt the cleaning company overcharged and Applegate paid for the cleaning services, reprimanded the cleaning company and refunded the tenant for what we felt was overcharged services from the cleaning company. We are happy to know that her four year tenancy was well and uneventful and we hope she is enjoying her new home!
