I had a dryer with error code of EAF2, another dryer with an error code and washing machine that stopped dispensing enough water through the detergent tray so called *****************************/Alliance to schedule a repair. Here's the break-down:- Called Alliance 5.18.23, was told soonest service tech could come was 6.22.23. - Given delay, I tried unsuccessfully to replace the fan motor myself on the dryer. - On 6.22.23, Alliance tech called with ETA. - Once tech arrived he did the following: - Said he was unable to fix the dryer because he couldn't remove the nuts holding the fan blades without breaking it. - Stated the washer would be fixed running hot water through the detergent tray, but did not actually test the machine. - Said he was in a rush to get to his next customer appt. in the city and berated me for trying to service my own equipment. - Without fixing a single issue, Alliance sent invoice i401393 on 6/23 for $478; $50 for fuel service, $8 for bridge, $178 for Service call and $237 for 1.5 hrs of work. - I was in the laundromat a few days later and was able to remove the nuts on the fan blade in 5 mins and found that the washer was not dispensing water due to a bad valve - 6/30 I called Alliance to find out what service tech did for 1.5 hrs without fixing anything. I was told to e-mail them with my own findings, which I did the same day. - Didn't get a response, so called back on 7/10, asked to talk to the manager. The manager didn't pickup and their VM box was full. I sent a follow-up e-mail on 7/10 and still have not received a response. ***************************** (now Alliance) always had poor customer service, but was willing to overlook it because they have (1) excellent service tech named ******. However ****** wasn't available and after waiting for more than a month the service tech Allliance sent didn't fix a single issue. I've called/e-mailed Alliance multiple times without a single response so escalating to BBB.Business Response

***************************** originally installed my equipment and have serviced and repaired them in the past. Alliance purchased ***************************** on April 4th, 2023. If ***************************** can no longer service my equipment, they should have not accepted the repair job. In the past 3+ years I've worked with *****************************, they have not been good at customer service, however, charging for an incorrect assessment, not completing the job and not returning calls is not acceptable.Lastly, the dryers were white labeled for ******************, but originally manufactured by Alliance. The main issue I requested service on was the dryer, which ***************************** completely failed to resolve.

Speed Queen dryer timer failed. Been waiting 2 weeks for part # D519034 to repair. I bought a new washer 6 months ago. It broke and took someone over a week to get to our house to look at the machine. After spending 5 minutes here the person told us we needed a part that is on backorder for multiple weeks. Speed Queen has offered no alternative solution and no recourse for a brand new machine or for help in expediting the part or sourcing the part from somewhere else. They refused to reimburse us for laundromat service. We are now without a washer for the beginning of summer with 2 young children.Business Response

March of 2020 purchased a Speed Queen washer for approximately $1000 dollars at Appliances on Lakeside Richmond Va.
Since then we have had two separate companies look at a whining noise tub problem with no success Both were Speed Queen authorized. The second company representative said a repair would be major which we did not want to take a chance on. I talked to Nikki at Alliance Laundry who made only one offer, we release all future warranty claims for a payment of $400. We received a lemon and definitely do not want to release the next 2 years of warranty unless the refund is closer to what we paid so if we decide to get a new machine the settlement will help provide for that. We have always owned Speed Queen products in the past but are disappointed in our treatment so far by the company.Business Response

I could not attach these anywhere but hopefully they illustrate the problem if you can open J***Some Companies are more open but Alliance is shut tight on finding names or email addresses. I don't feel that is really a positive thing but I guess they don't want to be bothered. We are looking for a full $1000 to apply toward a new machine of another brand after seeing and reading about the experiences of many others. A shame since the customer should be job one which appears not to be the case with Alliance Laundry Systems. I judge a company by the way they handle a problem not the fact that a problem sometimes occurs. At this point all things point to us wasting time as well as the BBB. I feel our best approach is to cut through the procrastination by starting with the manager and working down to the person dragging out the situation until the case is closed. We cannot accept $400 which I believe is prorated for a lemon washer which has been taken apart twice already and not fixed. I am not sure how Alliance got as big as it has but short term savings may end up with long term losses in the future. I have recommended Speed Queen to everyone in the past but the way this is going no more a shame. **** ********* ************

I bought an expensive Speed Queen washer on Jan 3, 2023.After very little use it started to act up and not finish a washing cycle properly.Speed Queen determined that it was totally under warranty and was suppose to contact a repair business. After waiting I found out they never did. Then they told me who to contact and I did. After waiting again they finally called me asking what the problem was and decided what part needed to be replaced. Waited again and was told the part was on back order. Have called so many times, were now weeks later and Speed Queen blames the repair company and they blames Speed Queen. I received a message that I need to do something.I believe that Speed Queen tries to take you guys for a ride now as they have taken me for a ride for weeks.Speed Queen fights with the repair man and Im in the middle.The repair man (see my first email) tells me the part they need is on back order.And Speed Queen tells me they have the part. Isnt it the simplest way to send the part to the repair man?I bought the washer from Speed Queen, no from a dealer in ** that nothing wants to have to do with Speed Queen. That was the first red flag. They told me they dont give warranty because they have their rules and Speed Queen has their own rules.I have been waiting and waiting, was told one excuse after another. The needed to give the repairman more time to respond to their email. Called at times and the would look into it and call me back. Guess what, did they call me back ?NO. That happened twice and the thrid time the called me back a day later and told me that they had the part. And that same day the repair man sends me an email that it is on back order???????And now I have to take for an answer that there is a ticket ???????What kind of ticket, wait another month for a warranty repair.Im not asking for anything special, just want the machine repaired. If I had bought a cheap machine at *********** I bet it would all been done or I would have gotten a new machine like a friend of mine had.I do not know what to do. To summarize, the ticket has been escalated to a team leader on the escalation team - they are handling this per company policy/protocol and the warranty bond. I do see that the parts were supposed to ship on Friday, but again any updates and/or next steps needs to be handled by that team, not via the BBB complaint.

Bought washer at ********************* in ************ Dec 8,22.nothing but problems since.******** went out of business. I have a 5 year warranty with Speed Queen and have had an issue w/start button and computer. At last visit they replaced start button but after 2 weeks same issue and serviceman said even though my warranty was ending if it was related to same issue they would still fix it. The washer has a film in the tub of the wash machine which appeared shortly after delivery. The machine is only 6 months old. I have attempted all the remedies that manufacturer has suggested multiple times without removing it. I've been told it's mildew, soap scum, my clothes or my water.This is the 2nd wash machine in my home but it had no issue this the film. Also *********** on the same street have the Speed Queen Washer without this issue. One neighbor uses the same detergent Arm/Hammer, I even use another neighbors Persil detergent and still the film remains.I would like a repair, new washer or refund.Business Response

Another service call was made on Friday 6/16 at which time they were told to call Alliance service tech center and *******'s tech spoke with ****. After checking the numbers with **** there was no conclusive answers to what or how to resolve the issues with the washer or dryer. As to the dryer was not drying enough, I was told that there was a 50 degree difference, since the vent was cleared, it must be the vent wasn't installed to the correct specifications to check with the builder, contractor (from some 20+ years?). Now after 2 previous owners, myself and neighbor(original owner), other neighbor machines 5yrs old, vents were all installed 20+ years ago. Of course, I'm only having issues since I had the installed defective Speed Queen Washer and Dryer.After the 1st service call I was advised to have the dryer vent cleaned. I paid to have it cleaned the soonest possible availability. It was amazing to have them show us that it was thoroughly cleaned. The techs blow from the install vent sight, a clean white towel which came out the roof vent unobstructed and perfectly clean, how cool is that to show that it worked. My neighbor is actually on her 2nd SQ set of appliances and that vent has no issues with her dryer? SQ was recommended by 2 neighbors.
As to the washer Alliance, Speed Queen and Art ******* (sales) have used multiple reasons (excuses) to explain away their responsibility to honor their 5 year warranty on Speed Queen appliances.
It's your soap brand Arm & Hammer, my neighbor uses the same detergent, in the exact same model W/D without issue. Another neighbor has a SQ and she uses Persil pods (without issues) so I borrowed some to try, no change in the film. I tried **** dish detergent & hot water since I saw it remove an oil spill from ducks feathers, couldn't hurt but it didn't remove the film.
Calling SQ **************** for more assistance and telling her what I had tried she responded "You should never use any pods in the machine"? She told me to clean the machine with hot water, full heavy duty load with vinegar and baking soda, tried that a number of times. She said if that doesn't work, use Affresh which I've also tried multiple times. One photo I sent, you can see, after all the attempts to get rid of the film there are now spots on the bottom of the tub. The latest service call I was told that it is either my clothes or our water causing the film. I previously washed most of the same clothes almost 5 yrs, the same water which my neighbors share the same water company. My immediate neighbor has the exact W/D since I ordered it off her model # & has lived in her house for over 20 yrs with no issues. Adding that it's a community of 1,5016 homes all built by the same builder between 15 to 22 yrs old using the same water company and no complaints about staining or film anywhere no less their washing machines.
Unfortunately, while enjoying my Wednesday Bocce league, I said I had to run home for a service call from ******************** I learned, I didn't check with enough people in the community, nor did I read online reviews about Alliance, Speed Queen or Art *******. At 3 or 4 people spoke out against ******************* handling of appliance issues.
Lastly, it is ridiculous to get the explanations which we have received. Especially since I recently recalled that my dishwasher has a stainless steel interior without film buildup from the water and it's almost 5 yrs old. Also, when I show others the photos they can't believe any of this is our responsibility, no covered by the 5 yr warrantee, Alliance, Speed Queen, Art ******* want us to believe. To say the least I'm upset, disappointed, I would like restitution for these issues.

Purchased Speed Queen Dryer (DR7003WE / serial #*********** on 1/12/23 from Cotton's Ace Hardware in ***** **. Metal vent plate in back of dryer drum has a coating that melted to clothes/blankets/etc. Vent plate was replaced 3/17/23 by ********* Appliance Repair (authorized warranty repair for Speed Queen). Vent plate continued to melt to clothes. Brand new dryer was delivered to ** by ******'s Ace Hardware on 3/27/23 (serial # **********). Had the exact same issue with this machine. ********* Appliance Repair was again sent to replace vent plate on 5/31/23 because Speed Queen refused to do anything without warranty work being done first. Speed Queen rep for ******'s Ace Hardware said they would not reimburse the store if they took the second machine back (in fact, ******* at Ace Hardware ***** - ************) said they haven't even been reimbursed for the first machine they took back. I spoke to ***** at Speed Queen today (6/6/23) who told me they do not and will not take back a machine - they will repair only. She insisted issues were due to mistakes made by us, which ********* Appliance repair told us they would try to do, and that we had done nothing wrong. I told her I do not want this dryer as I've had nothing but problems with two different ones now and all she would do is say they will repair if we are still having issues. This is absolutely ridiculous and horrible customer service. I want a refund on this product - original cost was $1,349.00 not including the cost to replace all of our damaged/ruined clothing.Business Response
