    On October 6, 2022, a service member came out to fix our furnace. Unfortunately, he was unable to fix our furnace and on Friday night 10/7/22 we had to call the fire department because to get our basement checked out and the fire department check the gas level and it was at 100. On 10/6/22 *************** forgot to turn off the gas before he left. We had paid the company $250.00 to pay for the cleaning of the furnace and instead he forgot the to turn off the gas. They were going to give us ***** refund but never did.

    We initially received an email from ************** on 10/27/22 regarding the refund for $75.00 to which we replied that we were mailing a check the next day. We mailed out the check as we advised. 

    On 11/7/22 we received another email stating that he did not receive and was upset. Our service manager **** texted ************** the same day, asking for him to call **** directly to discuss and verify it was not received. Since we did not get a call back from this text, we assumed he received it in between the email and text. 

     

    We have now stopped the initial check and reissued on 11/28. This has been sent by Regular US Mail.

    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 18467162 and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

    After viewing the business's response, they final mailed the check after I had to proceed to further action. The main reason is that the business never took responsibility for their action on leaving the gas on at our house. We had to call the fire department on October 6, 2022, to check the gas levels in our house.   If I have to, I have no problem getting the report from the fire department.  This is a very serious issue and I want to make sure that this isn't going to happen again.
