    We contracted with American Garage to build a 2 car garage for us in November of 2021. Prior to that we explained to salesman that we lived in Historical district and even took him to a home in our neighborhood that had recently built a garage he said he understood and has worked with historical district before. We signed contract for 40,000 around April of 2022 we were wondering why there are no permits for our garage. Come to find out he had not worked with City of Milwaukee historical and didn't have any experience regarding how to get our garage built. After contacting the owner we finally had some movement and got the letter of appropriateness but not without American garage raising our contract price to 64,000 which we could not afford. Needless to say we were heartbroken and so disappointed that American garage would not lower their price and still build our garage for what we had contracted. To make matters worst when they refunded our money they took $234.00 for a raze order, permits and blueprints which we will never use.

    We had American Garage Builders build us a 30' x 35' garage on our property in Watertown. It was finished 2 1/2 weeks ahead of schedule and we are very pleased. We worked with Bob M. He was professional and on top of things throughout the entire process, and we appreciated the way he kept us informed on all the timing and details. Their crew did a great job and left everything swept clean. We highly recommend Bob and his crew at American Garage Builders.
