      We decided to purchase a whole house Generac generator, we contacted Generac directly and they referred us to ***** ***** out of *** ******* *********, ***** ***** sent a sales rep to go over the details of what we wanted powered during and outage, we emphasized we needed a generator large eoungh to power our entire home especially our A/C, after all was said and done the sales rep suggested a 24k generator, again we asked if this generator would also power our whole house including our A/C, again the rep assured us the 24k generator would power our A/C in the event of an outage, so an appointment was made and at the same time all the permits were gathered, about a week later a electrician showed. up to do the wiring and install the generator, at no time did the rep or electrician mention anything about installing a (SMM) module for our A/C, install went well and we paid in full for the complete job, fast forward to I think May 2025 we experienced a power outage on an unusual ward day and we had the A/C running, of course when the power went out the A/C failed to start, as it turned out ***** ***** installed a (SMM) module that failed on our very first power outage, we contacted Generac and they said it's on ***** *****, called ***** ***** they said it would cost nearly 400 bucks because the (SMM) even though it's manufactured by Generac this device does not come with a warranty, in short Generac knows this part is ineffective but continues to sell this product and ***** ***** is aware that this part is ineffective but continue to install this part without notifying customers. We do not recommend Generac nor ***** *****.

      I received an e-mail from Generac on 4/9 that my Mobile Link subscription price was going to increase. I went to https://app.mobilelinkgen.com/accountSettings/settingsSubscriptions on 4/10 and cancelled my subscription. It said "Pending Cancellation" when I was done.
      Generac had a "Mobile Link Subscription Issue" with their system on 5/1. 05/01/2025 12:17 PM Mobile Link Subscription Issue "We are aware of an issue with Mobile Link subscriptions. Subscription information may not load properly and new subscriptions may be unable to be purchased. We are working on a fix. We will post a new message when this issue has been resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this matter."
      I received an e-mail from Generac on 5/24 stating that my Mobile Link subscription had renewed. I filed a complaint with Generac customer service. They informed me there was no record of a cancellation in their system. When I pointed out that Generac's "Mobile Link Subscription Issue" may have caused a cancellation glitch, Generac claimed that the glitch was related to "dealer managed subscriptions".
      In summary, when a customer cancels their Mobile Link subscription the customer never receives proof. Then, Generac has a "glitch" in their system which resets the customer's pending cancellation. They are crooks and liars. Caveat Emptor.

      We bought a Generac portable generator which came with a missing part. After nearly one hour on the phone I was told they can't supply the part because it's a new model generator and the part is not in their system!

      Purchased a Generac generator through ****** and it has never worked since installed. Not a single day! ******************************* refuse to return the defective unit, each blaming the other. We have been stonewalled & no one is talking responsibly. Yet they had no problem taking our $14k! We trusted that ****** vetted their suppliers which is why we purchased from them. They have basically stolen our money and our trust.

      Purchashed a 24KW unit which took 6 months to deliver/install. Day 1 noticed an oil leak. After 2 visits by a service technician it was discovered that there was a crack in the engine housing that required engine replacement. I was told it would be 6-8 weeks for delivery of a new engine. I live in ********** and we right at the start of hurricane season - perfect timing GENERAC! $15K for a beautiful beige box that does nothing. I can't speak for other brands but so far GENERAC has been a BIG disappointment! Will never recommend this company! Stay Away!

      I purchased a dewalt branded 8000watt generator which was manufactured by generac. After 20 hours of use a pushrod broke. As I only use this for emergency power outages it was past its warranty period. But still, only ***** hours. I took the engine apart to replace the pushrod and inspect for other damage. As I took off the head, I need a new head gasket. Generac doesn't have it. It's ben **** ordered for a year. I've called repeatedly. They tell me to call local authorized service centers and they don't have it either. They tell me to call ****** small engine parts they also don't have it.This generator is STILL being manufactured, so how do they not have this simple part? It's a 5 dollar gasket! Call the assembly line and tell them to send me a gasket . This is aside from the fact that a push rod broke after 20 hours of use

      WHAT A JOKE!---- BOUGHT A 22KW GENERATOR FROM ******** ****, A $6,000.00 PLUS PURCHASE PAID IN CASH.. THEY SAID IF I BUY IT NOW IT CAME WITH A 10 YEAR WARRANTY NO STIPULATION.. IT TOOK A WHILE FOR THE INSTALL, THE PROPANE TANK HAD TO BE PURCHASED AND INSTALLED, THE GAS LINES RUN, A CONCRETE PAD TO BE POURED AND GENERATOR SET. IT WAS SEVERAL MONTHS AND I ALSO HAD TO WAIT FOR AN ELECTRICIAN TO WIRE IT UP AND BE INSPECTED BY THE COUNTY. THE GENERATOR WAS STORED IN MY GARAGE UNTILL IT COULD BE PUT IN SEVICE. NOW THEY ARE REFUSING TO HONOR THE 10 YEAR WARRANTY BECAUSE IT WASN'T INSTALLED IN THEIR ALLOTTED TIME FRAME. THEY CAN'T TAKE TIME AWAY FROM THE PURCHASE DATE TO THE COMPLETED DATE LIKE WOULD MAKE SENSE. GENRAC IS A BAD COMPANY TO PUT YOUR TRUST IN. DON'T BUY FROM THEM

      So we ordered 2 refurbished portable generac generators. We had to send the 9600 back cause of the tank leaking. The 3200, we had to reorder THREE times. The 3rd one wouldn't start but I noticed that 2 of the hoses were put on backwards so I fixed it myself. You would think they would make sure they ran before shipping. Very disappointed at the issues with generac

      Don't buy a generator rom this company they are a joke. We bought a very expensive generator raider for our house two years ago it worked for three days and has not worked since. We have called numerous numerous times to Generac. Talk to different people always passed off to this one to that one never a straight answer. They can install them, but they cannot fix them the first hurricane braille that we had here in *****. Our power was out. We paid all this money for a generator and the thing did not kick on now mind you its never worked. They come out to look at the unit and said the motherboard was burned out so here a year later we are still trying to get it fixed so go with someone else do not buy a Generac generator. Not a very happy customer at all, but were still paying for it.
