      Couch was delivered with a tear in it which the delivery guys noted. It took 2 months to get a repair guy on site to fix it since that was the only option. I asked if they could replace the couch and that was not an option. Repair guy showed up early so I asked if he could wait a bit for us to drive out there. He said he would wait but left anyway when we were on our way. Steinhafels has been absolutely terrible to work with through the entire process of trying to get something repaired that they damaged when delivering. I will never buy anything from them again for the fact that if something does get damaged by them they are not easy to work with at all to get the issue resolved. They make you pay everything up front so you don't have any options either so hopefully this review helps someone else stay out of the situation we are in.

      We recently purchased a lift recliner for my husband who was recently diagnosed with metastatic adenocarcinoma. We wanted to get him set up comfortably at home prior to discharge but he couldn't come home because he went into renal failure. When we finally got home the chair just was not a good fit. We asked Steinhafels to exchange chairs and give us store credit for remaining balance. They said no because it was longer than 15 days. It was 19 days. Way to add to an already heartbreaking situation Steinhafels.

      I ordered replacement parts for my chair and was giving the wrong parts. I was told that's what I ordered yet I showed the emails/pictures they asked for to order the parts I needed. I'm now being told they will not refund my money because of policy. Yet the store kept the wrong parts that where ordered. So I have no parts and I'm out $30. I've been on the phone and in the store to handle this matter and it is nothing but a run around pointing fingers. They apologized for ordering the wrong parts after seeing the emails but yet again WON'T refund my money.

      I bought a bedroom set from Steinhafels. When they delivered it they realized they were missing the bolts for tge bed and couldn't assemble it that day. They'd have to come back the next day. Meanwhile I had to sleep on the mattress on the floor. They gave me a window of time for tge next of 6-8 pm! And of course never showed. Im still trying to figure out what to do

      We purchased a custom leather recliner from the ***********************************. We did not unbox and put it together within the 15 days after pick up. After putting it together, we noticed that it was intermittently making noise when rocked and then discovered it was not level. We took the back off, thinking that perhaps it was not fully locked in. It was so we looked at the two pieces more closely only to discover that the brackets (one on each side) were not only not level, but the angle at which they were screwed into the wood was not the same. We took pictures and contacted our sales person who in turn spoke to the store manager and were told that since we did not buy an extended warranty that we would have to pay $149 for someone to come out and let ok at the chair. While the chair has a year warranty, you cannot access anything without paying this fee. If we had this chair and something broke, this might be more acceptable, but it is obviously a manufacturer defect in building the chair. After paying over $1000, its ridiculous, that the store would not engage in making this right. They sell this product and should want to ensure that the vendor makes a quality product. At this point, Id have no assurance that even if we paid $149 for someone to come out to verify what we have already provided, that anything would be done. We have purchased from Steinhafels in the past and have been very happy, but after this experience, we would not go back.

      Do not purchase furniture from Steinhafels! They do not stand by their product and their customer service is horrible. Not only did they deliver the wrong furniture to me, so I had to wait a total of 6 months for the correct furniture, but they charge you an arm and a leg for horrible quality. The 900 dollar ottoman I got had scratches all over when it was delivered. Their response was, it is a type of leather that scratches easily. 4 months with it now, an internal piece of the ottoman just broke as my husband sat down. Their response is they can not do anything about it. Poor quality, poor service. I will never recommend them to anyone ever again.

      We were talked into the Guardsman Protection Plan for 5 years. Sounded like a great deal. I'm sure the salesman works on commission. Now that the recliner broke we can not get a response to fix it under the 5 year warranty. The customer service at Steinhafels in Appleton is rude!! Won't help to get our recliner fixed or refund our money of $376.46 to purchase a new recliner. Guardsman is worse, rude, do not answer emails and tell us they do not service the Wisconsin area. They are located in ***** ******* ** 5 hours away and Steinhafels, 30 minutes away will not send one of their technicians. Why would they sell a service that they know darn well, wont come to Wisconsin. They got their commission and money and ******* us out of money! Never again will I shop at Steinhafels, again!!!!!!

      Save yourself the headache and buy somewhere else! We have bought several items from Steinhafels over the years, but not anymore. In 2022 they became “employee owned” which seems to mean they are out to make as much money as possible with little concern about the customers. We’re remodeling a bedroom into an office and stopped in to buy 2 L shaped desks and a locking filing cabinet. We were told they had them “in stock” at East Madison store, which changed to they were “in stock “ at the West Madison store, which was ok. We were going to pick them up ourselves but nobody had the measurements of the boxes to see if they’d fit in our SUV. They then told us it would be $50 to deliver to our home which was less than 30 miles from either store. As my husband was finishing up with our purchase and ironing out delivery details I continued to look around. My husband then came to me and told me that the furniture we wanted to purchase was not at either Madison stores and would need to be shipped to the store and it would be a $200+ delivery and set up fee that we needed to pay before they would even have the order delivered to the store. My husband told them if they could order the furniture so we could determine if it would fit in our SUV we would then pay. The salesman said he couldn’t do this. The furniture and $200+ for delivery had to be paid first, and he had no control over this, it’s the “higher ups” that make this decision. But is it really??? Since it’s employee owned I have a hard time believing this. On the plus side, my husband and I are now going to local furniture stores to look for our office furniture that’s made from solid would and not laminated particle board. Also they have free delivery. We are also finishing a 1900 sq. ft lower level that will need furnishings as well as appliances! We won’t be returning to Steinhafels!

      Buyers beware, DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT STEINHAFELS, Stay away! It does not matter which location. Steinhafels is the worst place you could ever step inside of. Trust me please. You will thank me. I had to leave some sort of rating in order to leave my review. If I could have I would have left them a ??

      I have bought thousands of dollars of furniture from Steinhafels and have found that the quality is excellent and great customer service. This is the only furniture store we buy from!
