I purchased a new washer from Colders. I asked the salesman how long a cycle should take on a normal setting and he said 60 min. It takes 2hrs. It is supposed to be energy efficient but used way to much electricity and more than 100 gallons per day! The water bill went up over $400. Ive had the appliance delivered 12/30/24. I purchased the 5 year warranty because the salesman said if I have any problems the warranty ( manufacturer) will cover for a year, Im covered past that year. I called ************** that Colders provided and the service said this normal for this washer. I went back to exchange the unit for a speed queen thats $600 more and they will not accept any return. Now Im in for $1000 and a unit I cannot afford to use. I have to back to the laundromat now. Completely unacceptable! The salesperson was misleading and the washer manual on line doesnt fall in line with its performance. The 50yr old Maytag I had cleaned much better and it cost hundred less to operate. Not to mention the top lid leaks condensation from hot water washes directly to the control k*** and computer panel which Im sure will be another problem. We bought a Frigidaire refrigerator from Kohler in Grafton, on July 18, 2022, we bought the five-year extended warranty, we paid a total of $2991.96 for the refrigerator and the warranty. The refrigerator failed within a few months, the second refrigerator they bought us lasted about six more months, they brought us a third refrigerator, all of them have done the same thing lights flashing, having to reset it all the time, icemaker, not working, lights on the exterior of the refrigerator that are not supposed to be on making our kitchen really bright at night, they keep sending us another refrigerator with the same issues of the one before, and we are tired of it, we would like them to just refund our money so we can move on and buy a different brand. ****** turned us over to Electrolux, who takes forever to get back to **. The repairman dont do any diagnosing. They know the refrigerators are a problem and they just order us a new one. They scratch our walls they scratch our floors which are solid hickory and every time they do this, it gets a little more irritating. We do not want to deal with them anymore. We want our money back so we can move onto a better product.Business Response

Our records do not indicate that this refrigerator was ever exchanged through ******'s. Perhaps this was taken care of directly through the manufacture. The consumer did purchase the extended warranty, so all service issues should go directly through them. [***** and I paid the money to Colders Furniture and appliance in Grafton not the warranty company. We had trouble with this refrigerator within six months and tried to go through Colters and they blew us off so bad you thought we didnt even buy the product from them. , Say their customer service is poor is an understatement. The Better Business Bureau asked me who I paid the money to while I paid it to Colders not to the warranty company. Now that colders has delayed this whole process long enough by pushing us off to the warranty company, the warranty company has also pushed us off three and four months at a time so now here I sit with an inferior product and Im out $3000 and I think Kohler should be the one to pay. They are the one we gave the money to and if they wouldve responded properly in the first place, we never wouldve had to deal with our extended warranty , very dissatisfied with you. Dont have to worry about seeing me walk-through your front door again. If they wouldve taken care of this properly in the first place, this wouldve been settled a year and a half ago, I am a business owner and Im glad that I dont treat my customers like this. I purchased a stove and refrigerator from colder at the oak creek furniture store. I received my delivery on the 6th of July 24. My daughter excepted the order for me. I went over yesterday and noticed scratches on the right side of the fridge.I called customer service and spoke with a representative and explained the situation with her. She said that there wasnt one like mine to switch and it would take a while to get a fridge in. I told her that I didnt want to exchange but ask if I could get a discount and I was told that she could only give me $35 dollars off. She asked me to take pictures and send to he because the driver took pictures of the side and there was no damage. I sent her the pictures and she said that she would call me right back. I purchased a ******* dishwasher from Colders which was delivered and installed by the professional whom they contracted. The unit leaked, I had an authorized repair person out twice and it was deemed unserviceable. Colders will not address the issue and told me to deal with *******, ******* will not reply to me and Colders were I bought the dishwasher will not assist in an exchange. My husband and I bought furniture last year and was told that if we purchased the warenty and did not use in within the year we would be refunded $500. When I called today they said its after 5 years???? This was told to us by 2 employees at the Grafton store.Business Response

I am sorry that ***************** misunderstood the 5 year buy back program. Her original receipt along with the buy back certificate that was provided to her at time of purchase outlines the program. It is a 5 year protection plan and if the protection is not used during the 5 years, ***************** will receive an in store credit for what she paid for the protection. (which is $199.99) The terms and conditions are listed in the paperwork that was issued at time of purchase.Customer Answer

8-16-2023 Bought. Colder's Appliances ********************* in Grafton, wi . Paid $849.+ Tax & 159 for 5 yr Protection plan. Installed 9/3/2023. Repair needed as error code showed leak, so scheduled ****, no show: rescheduled **** repair bottom seal and replace pump. Oct 10 error code again leaking, repair scheduled for Nov8 scheduled tub repair *************** called tub replacement damaged, so rescheduled for Dec 5 finally saw the tub Repair person stated would have to refurbish whole dishwasher in our small kitchen undoing and redoing all the wiring, bolts and gaskets etc. Our kitchen is not a factory nor a repair shop. We purchased three kitchen appliances from Colders in Grafton ********* on 8/12/2023, and were delivered on 8/19/2023. The center burner on the gas range wasnt working, delivery guy said he will let them know and they would be contacting us in order to fix it. That didnt happen, so I called on Monday, left my number for a call back, never called me back, so I called again and finally got someone and they sent me information via email as to who I had to call next. So I called that number and the lady I spoke will was absolutely ridiculous! I had to repeat the information she asked me over and over again about my middle burner not working. She then asks me how long have you been having this problem with your microwave? OMG, I just wanted to scream, but I was very cordial. So an appointment was made for 8/28/2023, but then they called a day later stating they wouldnt come out til 9/1/2023. Infuriating! On 8/25/2023, I was looking on the Colders site to add an accessory to my stovetop, to my surprise, I seen two of my appliances that were a little cheaper. So I called Colders and spoke with ******, our sales rep and asked if I could get the price change due to whats on the Colders website and he flat out told me that since they were already delivered, he could not give me the adjustment, but I told him we just recently purchased new appliances on 8/12/2023. He said that he would have to do that all the time for customers! I was under the impression that we would have at least 30 days (or possibly less) to get money back if there was a price change. I would like to know if there are any rules to support this! While I had ****** on the phone, I brought up the matter about our gas range as to how it is gonna be two weeks before they will come and fix and he told me that would be the best way of getting it fixed since they do not have any in stock to replace the current one we already have. He was so condescending, like ha ha, I got your money, now leave us alone! I was infuriated! I will not do business with Colders or recommend them to anyone if this is how this Family Owned Business is gonna treat their customers!Business Response

5/15/23 washer and dryer delivered that I purchased for my father who just moved into an apartment. Delivery drivers hooked it up and started a wash cycle. No leaks at connections so they left. Shortly after the wash cycle was draining and water started running all Over the floor and proceeded to run to the apartment below. I immediately called the delivery drivers who returned and took the unit out. They verified it was not a bad connection on their part but rather a faulty unit. Extensive damage to the point that remediation company is needed and both tenants had to be moved out until repairs are completed. Colders will not return my calls or contact the apartment manager with their insurance information, as I requested. The apartment manager said they will have to go after my dads renters insurance if Colders wont contact them. I have called for 3 days and been told there was no manager on duty and someone will call me tomorrow. I spoke to ****- she was very nasty and hun up the phone on me after my 3rd call.Business Response

Colder's has inspected the unit and the issue is due to a defective washer and not the installation from our delivery team. Colder's has tried to contact the building manager a couple times in regards to this situation and we have not received a call back. We have been in contact with the manufacture to report the property damage to the customer's home.We have also provided the customer's information to the manufacture for them to reach out to the consumer. They have not called ************************* the director of ********************. I have contacted her and asked. Colders will not return my calls or allow me to speak to a manager. I have called numerous times. I will be seeking legal consult if they dont address this by tomorrow with both me and ********************. I will *** them if necessary. I have given them the option to rectify this and they have chosen not to. In turn my fathers insurance will be responsible for the extensive damage to 2 apartment units.Thank you BBB for your help.
