1 star1st checking - wrist band didn't work
2nd check in - the wristband work to room 4070 in which another family was settled into ( breach of privacy)
3rd check in area because going from. 4th floor to the main lobby delayed the stay us and was not able to to use amenities especially the pool since it closed at 8 pm
5th David the manager refused to give a refund or comp for another stay due to wasted time and truly given multiple mistakes
6th noted to check out and was refunded except for the goggles bought from the swim shop ( David the manager stated that it has to be done at the swim shop)
7th returned back to check in to speak to the manager because the swim shop is closed
8th David the manager needed the retail manager Phil to process the refund whom only did one goggles
9th had to go from the car back again to get the second refund for the goggles with the same time stamp
Poor customer service
Highly frustrating
The manager escalated the situation

1 starDont stay there; dont even make a reservation. I made one with the ESAVER deal and they charged me $200. deposit. It was suppose to be our family Christmas in December. However, by the time all families tried to make a reservation, the Lodge jacked up the price so much the families couldnt afford it. Since I had made my reservation, I called to cancel and learned that I could not get my $200.40 deposit back. It says on the website when you sign up for these deals that the deposit is non refundable, but they dont tell you how large the deposit will be. I thought it would be around $50; instead it was almost half my bill. Also, they add a resort fee and taxes so its much more expensive than the room price. I plan to check further with our attorney general if all this is actually legal. BEWARE!Review fromMarinda M

1 starMy daughter paid a lot of money for all of us to stay at the. great Wolf Lodge in Scottsdale Arizona for me and my grandson's birthday. From the moment we stepped out of the elevator, I couldn't help but notice the hallways smelled like a mixture of dirty wet dog and bleach. That should have been my first clue. Then I videotaped the view from the room of the nasty green algae infested lake outside that just so happens to be the water that feeds the lazy river that people are swimming in according to a GWL employee. The lazy river was closed for a few hours due to lightning in the area because it fed the lazy river and two water slides. Once the storm passed we were all able to enjoy the lazy algae river... We ALL got sick with upper respiratory infection. My 7 months old grandson is still sick also with respiratory distress. I've lost a week of wages as a massage therapist, had to cancel singing for my sister's wedding and I'm not able to lead songs as the worship leader fory church until I get my voice back. We all got sick from the cesspool of cyanobacteria feeding into the water park. Please compensate my daughter and her family and myself. And someone call the health departmentReview fromKaylen B

1 starWhen we came last year, I noticed how filthy the carpets in the rooms are. This time, the bathrooms were also very dirty. For not being that old of a property, the rooms need a lot of TLC already. When I went to shower on Monday morning, the water would not get hot and the pipes were banging and rattling really loudly, which was odd. It is also worth noting that the rooms used to have their own microwaves, which is no longer the case. It appears the microwaves are communal now and are in the vending/ice machine area. The dinner buffet was closed the entire stay. Grizzly Jacks outside window also appeared to be closed. Food options were therefore limited and the line and wait for food at Buckets was extremely long. Mobile ordering was shut down, Im assuming because of the volume they were already receiving via walk up orders. We ended up eating pizza two days in a row and venturing outside the resort for food last night. Monday afternoon, we were having our lunch in the room and my eye caught a glimpse of someone in the window outside. I looked out and sure enough, there was man on crane cleaning windows. The crane was left in front of our window all night. Around 3:45am yes, AM, I was woken up by the sound of beeping. I looked outside, and there was active construction going on at 4am! The beeping was coming from the trucks being used to clean the windows and there would loud booms from the workers moving/loading large pieces of wood. For what reason, I have no idea. Especially at 3-4am, which is ironic considering we were reminded that quiet hours are until 7am. I guess that rule doesnt apply to Great Wolf Lodge. We left feeling very defeated, as this is was our only summer getaway this year, and it was tarnished by Great Wolf Lodges lack of customer service and care for their guests experience. As one of the most expensive Great Wolf Lodge locations, we expected much more.Review fromMacole M

1 starI purchased a room for one night for myself and children on a promotion for $186. I needed to cancel one month out due to financial emergencies and was told that the deposit was non-refundable because this room was bought on a promotional rate and that the deposit is the total amount of the room. So, I was given the option to reschedule or place a 12 month hold to which the $186 would be "applied" to future rates. Basically, the promotional deal that we're bound by that prevents cancellation GWL will not be bound to keep when I reschedule. This is blatant unfair business practice. The rooms are drastically over priced and every package is an additional add on. This will be our very last stay.Review fromCarrie H

1 starHad reserved Family Suite, pull out bed broken ask for different room and manager declined to give room of equal value and was very rude stating if I made complaint to headquarters issue would be directed back to him and only option was a 2 bed room or the would bring a roller bed. I even offered to pay extra if room with at least 3 beds, manager declined. Said the could refund 100 dollars or we could just leave. I paid over 300 dollars per night with a bed you could not sleep in. Attempted to sleep in bed. After 2 hours awoke with severe pain in back and neck. Manager was informed that a had autoimmune disease JRA effect my joints. I then went to car and slept and used heated seats to help relief pain I endure from laying in broken bed.Review fromAngela C

I booked a reservation and SPECIFICALLY asked about cancellation policy since my husband was having some health issues and I knew we might need to cancel. I was informed by the staff on the phone that "no problem, in the event we need to cancel a pack member would be happy to assist me at that time". My husband ended up back in the hospital and we did need to cancel. When I called to cancel, I was informed that since I didn't purchase trip insurance, I would have to pay a $100 cancellation fee per reservation (we had 2 reservations). I informed them that I was never offered the option to purchase any trip insurance, but I had specifically asked about cancellation policy when I made the reservation. They did not take responsibility for their oversight, even when I shared that I specifically asked about cancellations. If their staff failed to properly inform me about the policy, they need to take responsibility for their booking staff.Great Wolf Lodge

1 starWe stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge in Concord this past weekend 07/16-07/18. We have had a horrible experience all around with this place. We got a basic room there with a birthday bash for our two kids (6,4). The total was to be $825.98. Two weeks before our stay our reservation was randomly canceled by the hotel. I had to call 3 times to get it fixed. We finally get to our room it was dirty, so dirty my 1 year old found someones old toenail on the ground and ate it. The water park was dirty and no one to tell you what to do with towels or to return them to the place when youre done or youll be fined $64. No one told us anything so we left our towels in our rooms, still charged $64 for not bringing them back even though we were never told to.No place opened when it said it was supposed to. Nothing worked, bowling was down, card use was down. We got a birthday bash that came with a free pizza we bought two pizzas and one was supposed to be used with the credit we were given with the birthday bash we still were charged for both pizzas. We left the hotel and still had the charge of two pizzas. We now have been charged $1,522 for a $825 hotel room! We have called and been told its holds, thats an insane amount of holds to have after a stay. Thats almost double what we spent. We have been battling getting all these extra charges off our cards that should not be on there. We were told by now the charges should be off and they are not. So we now have been charged almost double our room in holds and charges that should have been credited to us!Please beware of this place and never come here. Im honestly disgusted by the way this place handles business and I will never return to another one of their properties and I just want my money back. The place isnt even worth the $825 we originally were going to spend. Go to ******* Universal, or literally any other place for the same amount and not have the stress of being overcharged. So upset.
