The ***** at *** used their credit agency to put a strike on my credit for non-payment of rent. However, I have never lived at *********, and even ****** and **** in the main office admit that a mistake was made. It's been 90 days now and the strike still remains on my credit, and I've received almost no communication from The Point, as well as zero efforts on their end to fix the situation. This is bordering on criminal activity at this point and is currently affecting my ability to close on purchasing a house this month.

    Hello,

We would like to clarify that the individual who filed this complaint has never been a resident at The Pointe at WYO. As a result, we do not possess any of his personal information, including his date of birth, Social Security number, or income details.
Additionally, the claim that we have not assisted him is inaccurate. We proactively contacted the collection agency on his behalf and have email documentation demonstrating our efforts to support him. Furthermore, it is not possible for us to send an individual to collections without their personal information and a signed lease agreement.
Please let us know if any further clarification is needed.

    Thank you!

I signed with the pointe in July of 2023 and was told I would be able to cancel my lease if i hadn’t moved in yet. Later on circumstances came up and I was no longer a student at the University of Wyoming and they said if I was no longer a student or living in Wyoming I would be able to get out of the lease. Now they are saying I’m still responsible for paying the remaining duration of the lease. I would like a copy of my lease agreement. I am very unhappy with the way I have been treated. I was told months ago that if i no longer lived in Wyoming I would be able to be sublease and be taken off of the lease. I also have found a subleaser and the pointe told my subleaser to sign the subleasing agreement with somebody else! I also put on my roommate sheet that I was allergic to pet fur and they placed me with roomates with pets twice!

Hello, We reached out to the resident who filed the complaint. They had someone living in their apartment here at The Pointe at WYO illegally. We discovered this and when we reached out to them about this, they filed this complaint. They have filed false allegations. We hope to have this complaint removed.

    Thank you!

The Pointe at Wyo lost a rent check of mine. I had talked to them and they said if I could write another check, it would be okay. I did so to make sure my rent was paid, but I had to cancel the check ($513) because I was afraid it would get cashed. There was a $30 fee through my bank to do so, and I talked to them about getting reimbursed. They said they would talk to corporate, but I never heard back. In the previous months, they’ve claimed I didn’t pay/was late on my rent payment. I would come in to talk to them, and miraculously, they’d find the check. That went on from around January until May. The check they actually lost was for June’s rent.

We are happy to add a $30 credit to her account for a lost check. However, we have not finalized our move out condition charges. That is happening this week. If she is owed any money from The Pointe, that will be sent via check in the mail.
Let us know if you need anything else from us.
    Thank you!
