There was an automatic renewal transaction that took place by DECO Windshield Repair. There was no communication done about this and I would like to get this amount refunded and subscription cancelled immediately. I have not authorized for you to charge me automatically every year. Kindly get this sorted. I am on hold for more than 10 minutes and no one is picking up.Business Response

Hi,I was charged ***** CAD and ***** CAD for automatic renewal of subscription without any prior notification 0n June04 2024. I wanted to cancel the subscription and request for refund. All repair plan members receive multiple emails leading up to the renewal with specific information about the date and the renewal fee. Unfortunately sometimes these emails go to a spam/junk folder.

On May 2, 2024, I had this company repair a windshield chip on my car in their *********************** parking lot tent. The price quoted was $125 plus taxes. The windshield repair is only average, and i would never use them again. The individual then talked me into purchasing a "Premium Repair Plan" for my vehicle and my husband's vehicle for $50 each, although the second one was discounted to zero. I received an emailed confirmation and was surprised to find that in a year's time, they would automatically renew the "Plans" for $140 plus taxes. I immediately cancelled both plans. In the note cancelling the plan I requested a refund of the excess over the one time repair cost - $56.00, i.e. the $50.00 I was charged for the plans, plus taxes. I have received no response, and have requested responses in two subsequent emails, to no avail. In two attempts at calling their ************** at the phone number on the confirmation, I spent about 30 minutes on hold, only to be eventually told by a recording that I was calling outside office hours (I wasn't). This business is a shoddy, deceptive operation, conning people into paying an annual 'insurance' premium for an event that, in the combined 20 years my husband and I have owned our vehicles, has only occurred once.Business Response

Sorry for the frustration in trying to contact us.
I have cancelled the repair plans and initiated a refund of $52.50.
Please know that sometimes it can appear as an additional charge until is FULLY processed. Its annoying but it happens sometimes. I can assure you it is a refund. Please give it a full 5-10 business days for it to be fully credited to your account but do let me know if you dont see it after that. I promise we will get you taken care of. ************************************

I am partly accepting this response. The refund was short $3.50, the *** portion of the transaction. I can live with that but it's just sloppy bookkeeping on their part. But the second part of my requested resolution was that my credit card information be removed from their system. They have not confirmed that they have done that.

This Deco repair company is taking my money from my credit card without my consent. I called them and emailed them a number of times to newer have a person come on the line and to be disconnected. They took $95 from me one year, 60$ plus and $50 plus for 3 years all without my consent. I had a rock chip fixed and they took my credit card and signed up for this plan.Business Response

On July 4 2023 I had chip in my windshield repaired at the Decorepair tent. On June 11 2024 I was informed by Email that my plan would automatically renew on July 4 2024. I was not informed that I had joined a plan at the time of the repair. I tried to cancel on their web site but was unable to. Upon checking my records for my membership payment, I found out that the yearly subscription increased from $42 that with deduction for having AMA membership would be $20 to $95 without any notice and they told me that not longer have partnership with AMA.
Ill call this a scam
I contacted them again letting thy know and I haven't received any response or refund

We understand the concern regarding the renewal cost. Many of our members previously benefited from the discounted repair plan through our partnership with AMA. Unfortunately, that partnership has now ended, and the associated discount is no longer available. We appreciate your understanding.

So I received an email that said it was my anniversary with deco and I called told them to cancel my account! They said they would! A month later they charged me for a renewal. I dont even have a vehicle for me to be paying to fix a windshield. Make it make sense then the whole refund process is a PAIN. Just dont even bother with this company. On May 21, 2023, I used the Deco Windshield Repair to repair 2 rock chips. I was unaware that they had signed me up for a yearly repair plan. On May 21, 2024, I was charged $94.45 on my credit card to renew this plan. I have sent the company 2 emails to cancel and refund my money. I have not received a reply from the company. My money has not been refunded on my credit card as of June 2, 2024. I see that the company has set up an account under my name and has my credit card on file. I want my refund and want the company to remove my account with my credit card information from their files.Business Response

I had them fix my windshield in 2021 and now every year they charge me ***** for no reason I didnt sign a contract or agreed to anything. They were not able to give me any evidence.This company is a fraud
