I applied for a ****** mobile phone card and never received one. It was impossible for me to have activated or placed a single call with ****** as I did not have a ****** card. I have told MetCredit this repeatedly and they continue to threaten me and my credit rating.
To my knowledge, I have not failed to pay an account on a timely basis either personally or on behalf of multiple businesses I have owned and operated for decades. MetCredit is simply trying to harass me into payment of an account which I will not pay as a matter of payment. Presumably, their payment model with ****** is that they receive a percentage of amounts collected irrespective of whether the amount is a just debt.
I simply want MetCredit to cease harassing me.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Although I am satisfied that the matter is resolved I am not satisfied in the manner.
I at no time owed ****** any money. This was confirmed to me on several occasions by ******
At no time did I receive a phone call from Met Credit, identifying who they were or the reason for the call.

Should Met Credit want require to communicate with me I suggest they pick up the phone and call me.
I expect an apology from Met Credit and my complaint against Met Credit stands until I receive one.

In Aug 22 I received call from MetCredit a.k.a “Metropolitan Credit Adjuster Inc.” stating I owe $1500 for past due payments.
I provided them with documentation showing I neither have any contract, nor I owe any money with their client.
I disputed their facts and provided more than 10 documents showing I don’t owe any money to their client. Further, I requested them to ask their client to sue me in court so that I can prove my case. Metcredit, in search of its quick commission, without doing any due diligence, reported on my personal credit as unpaid collection. It caused my credit score to drop from 768 to 628.
I required mortgage at same time and my bank denied mortgage as my credit score abruptly dropped.
I asked their *** ***** **********, ****** *** *****, ******* ******** ****** and ***** ********** ****** to fix their mistake via email and phone call.
Unfortunately, none of them would reply to my emails even though I have provided them documents for the disputed case.
I am now contacting consumer rights ministry office in Ontario and Alberta.
I got equifax to start urgent investigation to correct credit report.
Next week, meeting with ****** to find out legal options to recover damages from this company and how to stop this company from doing this unethical and ruthless thing to destroy someone credit when they the case is disputed.
Further, their staff is not only incompetent but have no respect for law. They use their power to be abusive and don’t want to listen to your side.
I would like them to correct their mistake and remove unpaid collection from my credit report.
I have provided them with documentation but let me know if your company needs it in order to discuss my case with them.
ThanksBusiness Response

Mr. ****,
As we have mentioned to you on a number of occasions, we have advised you we are *****s for our client and their position is that your dispute is not valid. They have taken steps to initiate legal action against you and you have an option to resolve this in court.
Our Client's position is out lined below.
I’ve reviewed this email with the Broker of Record, and this is just another attempt from ***** to grasp
at straws. The contract is between **** ****** and ***** **** – not his cooperation.
The addendum to the contract just gives us the authorization to pay out his commissions to his
corporation name for his tax purposes, but that’s it. He’s the one who is licensed by the Real Estate
Council of Ontario, not his cooperation. He continues to claim that he only has to pay if he makes
money, but that is not stated anywhere, and even his own screenshot shows HIM insinuating that, but
nothing from myself or anyone at iPro, nor his contract state this at all.
He’s welcome to resolve this entire issue easily by simply paying the dues that he owes.Regards,
MetCredit

I am rejecting this response because:Metcredit a.k.a Metropolitan Credit Adjusters Ltd. worked one sided based on the input provided by their clients and did not read the inputs provided by me.
Metrcredit (Metropolitan Credit Adjusters Ltd) or **** ****** is neither expert in "Contract law" nor they had any intention of doing proper job.
My company' contract was with **** ****** **** I did provide copy of the contract to Metcredit. I also provided proof where **** ****** admitted future payments will be through corporation after commission cheque is received. I have attached copy here of the contract here again and even a common man without ****** degree can read the highlighted line that all future expenses and payments have to be done through my registered corporation. Since; Metcredit was only interested in its own commission from **** ****** so they ignored contractual agreement and ruined my personal credit. Metcredit registered wrongful collection against my personal credit.
This is totally against corporation law and Metcredit' action has resulted in me not getting mortgage. This made Metcredit now liable for losses. As a result Metcredit is in the process of getting sued for damages and suspension or revoke of its business license. **** ****** is separately sued for making wrong statements.
Collections agency shall work as a neutral company and shall not report wrong information to credit buereau. Metcredit has violated ethical and moral obligations and have committed unlawful activity by registering a collection against my credit whereas I shall not be even party to this dispute as per Contract Corporate Law. May be Metcredit shall hire a better ****** who has some basic morals and ethics, and fear of law. This bully and aggressive nature of Metcrdit of ruining innocent people' lives must be stopped and legal actions must be taken against this agency.
This was disputed case between my corporation and **** ******. Proofs were provided. Metcredit did not act per legal requirements but Metcredit acted like a bully and performed illegal actions. Even now, instead of accepting their mistake, Metcredit is still stating that they acted based on what their clients have stated. Metcredit shall correct their illegal action.
Sincerely,
***** ****Business Response

Mr. ****,
Without Prejudice:
We have provided our position and everything you said was already rebutted by our client.BTW, we are not an independent 3rd party, we are "*****" for our client. We do what they ask of us to do. You should review the law of agency. If you have any problems it should be with our client and not MetCredit.
Further I would urge you to stop writing slanderous false and misleading statements about our company, as these false and misleading statements are actionable!

I received an email from ********* on September 1st 2022 at 10:09AM saying this which I have copied and pasted...
*****
We have attempted to work with you to find a solution to this matter and your unwillingness to cooperate with us to resolve the account has been noted.
The debt is seriously past due and our investigations team has now determined immediate Legal action may be the only way to resolve this matter.
There is still time to deal with this matter voluntarily and avoid possible additional expenses of this action – however if you fail to contact our office to arrange a suitable repayment within 72 hours of the date of this notice, we will have no choice but to consider a referral back to our client for immediate legal action with no further notice to you.
You should know that after obtaining a Provincial Court Order, our client may be able to:
Garnish your wages
Attach any real estate or other property that you own
Seize and sell your assets as auctions
Have your financial affairs examined in front of the court.
Now here is why I am making a complaint about this email. Sending me this email after the two-year period ended, in which time legal action could have been taken,
(from what I read online about that), I feel it is a last resort to try to intimidate me into paying by what was written in the email. The last payment ever made regarding the cell phone account they are trying to collect on was made to the creditor back in August of 2020, and none ever since. I am not denying that I don't owe a debt because I do, but I will not be intimidated into paying, especially when I am only on a fixed income such as ODSP. I feel that I should receive an apology for the email that I again feel was an intimidation tactic and after that I’d like no further contact with the company at all.Business Response

***** *****,
We have reviewed your account and will not be offering an apology
for issuing the e-mail. We have been Mandated by our client to review every account
that is not paying, and to refer back to them a recommendation to sue.
So not false or misleading information was sent to you. A
lot of people get sued for not paying their ***** Accounts.
If you would like to discuss this further contact our office

OK - SO I have been getting a call on a cell phone that I just recently had given to me via my moms cell account after my father had passed away - When ever I had been issued this phone number almost immediately I was getting phone calls & txts from these ppl or this business - I don't have ill will towards them but the 2 times I SPOKE to someone I had asked for information & asked for something that I could reference in relation to this debt and it wasn't until I had made a change in my "Financial" situation that I had been given the credit report and essentially this is the 1 thing on my credit report (I have 2 mentions & the 1 I know about and have been paying) but this acct is on there & I have no idea what this is regarding & because I was given the "cold shoulder" when (not trying to give a hard time to the person on the other end) was asking questions but also NOT providing more and more personal info that was being asked of me - SO would love to know what this is about & after researching online at GOV.CA I realized that there has never one time ever been some type of "Paper Document" that is something required by law to provide PRIOR to the calls and further escalating tactics to talk with me (Again I am not IGNORING i am avoiding because they seem unwilling to confirm with ME the info they have so Its cool - LASTLY - The attached document shows an amt of: $1116.00 & another amt of "High Balance" at: $873.00 - SO since there is not supposed to be fees or added "interest" (To my knowledge) would LOVE to know if the HIGH balance was 3hundo(roughly) higher ?? Help requested since talking to them when I get a call is proving to be pointless and a waste of ALL ppl's times on this matter.
Look forward to maybe getting someplace with regards to this situation- Start with just the simple answer of WHO are u collecting for and why is it $300 more than the original amt listed in the report.Business Response

I took a loan out from this one payday loan company back in 2017, I wasn't able to pay off the debt or make enough of the payments on time so yes it went to collections and I agree I do owe the money however I have tried to make a payment on August 19th and they are now stating it wasn't made I have a reference number and my bank said that it went through securely I even did it through a link I was sent from one of their collection agents and followed the instructions. but now I'm being told I never made a payment, they want to have access to my bank to be able to pull out payments whenever they want however I don't get paid on the same day every single month there are different times that I get paid so I told them I could make a payment every month for the next 3 months until it is paid off I owe $435.25. By law they are supposed to work with me for when I can make the payment and from what I read from law they are not supposed to put extra pressure on me to pay the debt off faster however I got an email today asking when I am going to pay the remainder and that they never got the payment so I am very confused and don't feel very comfortable giving them another payment especially if they aren't getting my payments. I made my payment on the 19th and my confirmation code is *******
I sent a screenshot of the email I got on July 27 about my debt I had messaged them and then was sent the link on the 28th I didn't hear anything else until August 8th I sent payment on the 19th and as shown they claim not to it.Business Response

METROPOLITAN CREDIT ADJUSTERS representative sent me emails in 2017 and 2021 about an outstanding balance owed to ***** ********. The first time they contacted me by email I told them that this account is in dispute with *****. As per ***** representative I was overcharged for a year. I did contract the services from another provider. I do have my bills from that provider.
The last email I received about this case was in Mrch 2021 saying that I owed Outstanding Amount Due: $1947.86 as per email.
In August 2022 they sent an amount of $7027 to credit Bureau.
When I called them about this outstanding balance, Met Credit adjusters in Edmonton denied of being in contact with me since 2017 and pretended that this is a new case that landed in their office in January 2022.
I spoke to three representative of Met Credit adjusters one confirmed it is the same file from 2017 the other two denied and claimed it as new. Then I receive a call again from one of their representative that yes they now confirm that this is a file since 2017.
They also mentioned that they sent me a n email or a letter even called me in October 2021 which I never received. I asked them to provide proof they could not.
I am willing to pay $1140.00 the exact amount that I owed *****. but they are now asking for $7027 whereas the amount owing in March 2021 was $1947.86 I would like to know what kind of calculation is this.
