I had a free trial expiring on 6/22/25. When I went to the Lawdepot.com site to cancel it, I typed on the search bar "Cancel free trial" I was brought to the page with the subscription options. I hit cancel and it sent me over to another pop up page that said you subscription is cancelled. However when I checked my card on 6/25/25 I see I was billed for the $49. I went back to the site and did the same process over again, this time it didn't send me to a pop up window it straight out cancelled on the billing section. When I called customer service for a refund they basically said too bad you cancelled after your date. **If you try and cancel make sure to call and get an email stating you cancelled. Their free trial is shady with them way they do their cancelling.

They updated the Editor and now the lower part of each page gets cut off. Instead of getting a technician to fix this error, ***** was very unprofessional over the phone and began denying any errors, deflecting the blame, and refusing to cooperate to resolve this issue. Instead ***** began acting immature and hanging up the phone.

Law depot comes up that you can download for free. That is a lie you fill out everything then at the end they want money to download load. False advertising after they wasted my time.

Obviously their "Completely Free" has the ami definition of free, with catches. Not the English free.Dont know how they got a great review, must have been when they first started out. We wasted time filling out this bogus "free" template only to find out you have to pay for it in the end.

After trying several times today to retrieve my document for a meeting with a client and look at doing more forms, their website isnt working. I have tried since 6:30 am (6 hours), still not working. I have tried calling 9 times and cant get through. It states they are dealing with a lot of calls and to leave a message. At this point, I want to cancel the service because there are too many red flags. Im unable to do that because their website isnt working & you csnt get through to customer service. Therefore, this is my notification to them to cancel my service!

I signed up with LawDepot a few months ago and I've been pretty happy with the forms. Forms are easy to fill out and the e-sign option is very handy. Also saving a document and going back to finish up is simple and easy. No complaints

We must have signed up for a free trial a year ago, as we needed one document. A year later of course we didn't remember that if we didn't stop it we would automatically be charged for a renewal subscription. Turns out that sneaky automatic renewal is non-refundable. There was no correspondence leading up to the renewal period - I just saw the charge on my credit card bill. What a scam. Buyer beware - this is not a company you want to do business with. I wish we had read reviews a year ago.

It does seem like an ongoing issue with this company. Like many others I signed up for a free trial and downloaded on document. I could have paid a lawyer less to just do a power of attorney for me considering the months that I"ve been charged. No correspondence from the company but this:LawDepot.caNow that you have unlimited access to customize, save, print or download hundreds of legal documents, here's how you can make the most of your full membership:Download your document in either HTML or PDF format Print several copies.Edit the exact wording of your document for further customization.Start estate planning. Create a Last Will and ********** ***** of ******** or Living Will in minutes -- essential documents every individual needs.Questions? Contact us at ########## Mon-Fri 8am - 7pm ET, or visit our Support Page.I have received no reciepts and there was no forthcoming announcement that I was now paying a monthly prescription. **************** wouldn't budge with my request to cancel but a few of the months that I paid. Definitely feels like I've been scammed or at least mislead to take advantage like other online subscriptions that make their money off of misleading customers and sneakily continue to charge them knowing full well that largely these "contracts" get missed by the consumer. It's kind of disgusting.

I needed to replace the living trust for my home. Since I could not edit the existing 1 page deed that was on file with the County, I had one prepared on legalzoom. During the course of setting it up, I was offered an estate planning kit that included the various forms as well as 10 years of storage. I was not happy with what they prepared and was 12 pages long. I paid $25 to have it notorized on LawDepot, but I ended up not using it. (because of the length, the cost would be more than double of the one I prepared) I typed the first one and changed the appropriate beneficiaries and filed it with the county. I have copies and proof that I did not use a LawDepot document. It has been less than 2 weeks since that transaction so I called and requested a refund. They refused. The first person was really nice, but then I spoke with 'the escallation team" and she was pretty hard and rude. She said that is their policy and they won't budge. She said I should have read the terms before I paid. Expensive ******* guess from now on I will need to read the multipage tiny font terms. It is interesting to me that the BBB gives them an A, but reviews give them a 1.88 our of 5.
