All Weather Windows has been a nightmare Rollercoaster to deal with since our original install in 2014. The salesman promised the world with doors and windows that would save energy and look beautiful. We had all of our windows and doors replaced on a 1964 home and at the beginning everything seemed fine until it started to get cold. Living in ******* we can reach temperatures as low as -** but when it hits -15 every year my doors start to ice over and freeze resulting in cracking, peeling and air escape. So far we have been told that it was a defect in the weather stripping (so we had that replaced multiple times), the screws were too short so we got new screws installed, then it was the door frame that was improperly installed (because they werent centered correctly with the original install) so they replaced the frame and then we were told it was the humidity (the first time it was tested it came in high because the inspector brought in the machine directly from his cold car and when he tested again after the machine warmed up to room temperature it was within the normal range) so it is not the humidity. It has gotten so bad that our back door has literally froze solid, completely shut and we were unable to open the door at all. I would like to ask what would happen if there was a fire and we couldnt get out because the door is frozen shut?! The door and frame were replaced in June 2023 and now in December 2024 the door is once again icing up, freezing and now cracking and peeling! When I called to inquire about how this can once again be rectified as we have been dealing with this for approx. ** years I was told it is our fault because of our humidity in the house was recorded as high and there are NO NOTES that the second test (that was done within mere minute of the first) said our house is within normal range. We have NO condensation on any of our windows so the humidity is not high. It is just a run of excuses and I get no real solutionCustomer Answer

I paid to buy and have windows and doors installed by All Weather Windows. See the attached contract. I was told verbally by the sales rep that the windows were rated as Energy Star Most Efficient and therefore qualify for a $250 per window rebate from the Greener homes Grant. ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
After the three windows were installed, my Greener Homes Post-Retrofit Energuide Evaluation was conducted and the results stated that windows are rated Energy Star but not Energy Star Most Efficient. This means that I receive a Greener Homes Grant rebate of only $125/window rather than $250/window. The false information told me by the sales rep has cost me $375 between the 3 windows. If I had been given accurate information by All Weather Windows I would have gone with a different company where I could have purchased windows at a lower price.
I brought this to the attention of a Customer Service Professional from All Weather in a phone call on April 5, 2023. She replied with the attached Email 1 and promised that management would contact me about my concerns. 56 days have elapsed since then. I have been told 3 more times (see attached emails) that management would contact me but still have heard nothing.
I want to be refunded $375 which is the amount I am out of pocket because of the sales agent's inaccurate information. I understand that it was an honest mistake but I still expect that the company be more responsive to customers and to take ownership for having provided inaccurate information.Business Response

Front entry door (frame & slab with window installed Jun 1, 2020. Everything was good until it wasn’t when cold weather set in & I couldn’t open the door. I realized that it was frozen shut on the bottom side edges. March 2021 called All Weather Windows & they sent out the installer to replace the weather stripping. By this time the weather warmed up, so nothing was visible and door did not freeze up again until January 2022. Sent email to manager Jan 6/22 & was contacted by service rep Jan 7/22. They sent out another rep who proceeded to tell me that the foot base was not insulated (which I know it was) and that the weather stripping had to be replace again which did not solve the problem as it kept freezing up. By the time they sent someone else out the weather warmed up and this time on April 11/22 the installer looked further into the problem & determined that the door was warped which was clearly visible when he removed the weather stripping under the door, therefore was not sealing properly. He sent AWW the report stating that the door had to be replaced.
Phoned Manager at AWW April 25/22 and left msg. He did not call back.
Sent Manager and email May 27/22 & again June 2/22. Finally got back to me saying that co-worker who books service will reach out and book appointment for date to replace front door slab and also garage door slab which was damaged before installation May 17, 2022. Service did call but did not set up a date. Said they would get back to me. So far has not been replaced.
Phoned service rep Sept. 6/22 and left msg. He did not call back.
Emailed manager Sept 14/22. He did not reply.
Phoned service rep Sept 22/22 & left msg. He finally called me back. Seemed surprized that no date had been set yet & said he would call me back either the same afternoon or next day. Never did hear from him again.
Phoned service rep again Oct 3/22 & left msg. Did not call me back.
Phoned manager Oct 17/22 & left msg. Did not call me back.
Phoned rep May 2/23 & left msg. Did not call me back.
Phoned rep again May 5/23 & left msg. Did not call me back.
They are no longer returning my calls or replying to emails.
I am uploading 2 pictures that show frost on the foot base which they already should have if the rep did his job. Also only a couple of the emails that were sent and received. Paid in full upon installation. A complete refund would be acceptable.Business Response

I purchased full-price windows from All Weather Windows. What I received were misshaped and uneven windows. The windows were installed, and I immediately notified the store I purchased the windows from (you cannot buy directly from All Weather Windows).
All Weather Windows has acknowledged that the windows are in fact misshaped and not made correctly. They are willing to provide new windows but will not pay the costs associated with removing and reinstalling the windows. These are massive windows, so it's not easy. The labour and materials (excluding the windows) to change the windows will be close to $10,000. All weather windows expects me to pay this price to change out these windows. I cannot afford this cost to change out the windows, they were supposed to be brand new windows.
All weather windows has been trying to bully me into taking a low compensation for the defective windows. Then on top of that they are trying to force me into an unfair compensation and they want me to sign a waiver saying that these windows also will no longer have valid warranty. I have stated that I will sign saying that I cannot come back at them for misshapen, uneven windows, but there should still be warranty on cracking and seals, etc. If I wanted second-hand or cheap windows, I would have bought them from the start. I paid full price and paid for warranty, I should get what I paid for.
Now it has been 2 weeks since I have sent them an email and they do not respond.
All Weather Windows is now ignoring me, I believe hoping that I will go away and forget. This large company should not be able to take advantage of homeowners.Business Response

I signed a contract for new windows and doors with All Weather Windows (AWW) on April 29, 2022. I paid a 50% deposit at that time. AWW contacted me to install the windows/doors on August 17, 2022. On that date, the installers showed up but discovered that they had ordered the wrong size and would need to reorder new ones in the correct size. I emailed them on that date (August 17, 2022) asking about the next steps and a new timeline. I followed up again on August 23, 2022 because I didn't get a response. I followed up again on September 7, 2022. They emailed me on September 29, 2022 saying that they could install the windows/doors on October 19, 2022. I agreed. On the morning of October 19, 2022, I called to ask if they were installing the windows because they hadn't dropped the materials off the day before, which they said they would do. The receptionist said yes, they are installing today. About an hour later, AWW called back to say they "didn't know where our windows were" and that they would contact us once they had sorted it out. I haven't heard back from them since, and it is now January 6, 2023.Business Response

In 2010 we purchase 8000.00 worth of windows from All Weather Windows through ****** ******** ******** ******* **** ************. It is now 2023 and I have seal failure on three of the insulated glass units.
Two side unite on a three unit Apex 9500 casement picture window and one unit on a two unit Apex 9500 casement. I contacted AWW on October first 2022 through their on line request form. I received the notice saying there the request had been received and I would be contacted shortly. At the end of October I left two voicemails with the customer service people. To date I have heard nothing. I have since learned from ****** ******** ******** that AWW has abandoned the east coast warranty responsibility and all. This is very unfair. I made purchases based on their public advertising with promised to supply a good product and look after the product that they supply. That advertising in various forms is still posted. since I cannot establish contact with AWW I am facing very expensive repair bills for the current three windows, 1 Have someone else replace the glass at my expense or 2 replace the two windows which will not match the rest of the house. all very unreasonable choices. Contact with the company would be good for a start with answers to how they intend to honour their lifetime warranty as is still publicly stated. As a senior on a fixed income I am in a fix if they have abandoned us. You assistance would be greatly appreciated in forcing an answer as to their intention, honourable I hope.Business Response

We contacted All Weather Windows in Feb 2022. Ordered windows through them and paid half owed on March 3rd. Company literature stated someone would be in contact within 2weeks. No contact from company. I called multiple times to follow up and organize measurements. Same were finally taken March 25. No contact from company by May 26 (2 months later), so I called again. Was told someone would contact me by May 30th. This did not happen. No contact throughout the summer, so I called on August 22. Was told that they "lost my file", we would have to start over, and agreed that compensation was in order. No contact by Sept 6th (2weeks) regarding remeasuring/installation nor compensation, so I called again. Finally got someone to organize measurements and installation, but no contact regarding compensation. Spoke to a manager on Sept 23rd, who stated he would look into fair compensation within the week. No contact from manager after that week. Escalated to upper management on Oct 8th. I requested a meeting with all parties involved were we would discuss case and compensation and was told not to pay amounts owed until it's been sorted out. Windows were installed on Oct 20th at the end of which, they asked for payment. I showed them the email stating we are to settle the amounts owing prior to payment. I have been contacted twice since with requests for payments, with the representative stating "there are no notes on my file".
In short, the company has had extremely poor communication with us. Half the amount owing was paid March 3rd with windows finally installed Oct 20th, during which the company did not contact me once. I had to initiate contact with them over and over to get the job done. Now they have asked for full payment 3 times after it was they stated compensation was owed, but haven't contacted me to settle on a compensation amount. My concern is they will send me to collections. I want to finish payment, but we have not resolved how much is owed.Business Response

On September 5 and 6 2022 we had a total of six new windows and a new back door installed by All Weather Windows and Doors. We paid half of the total order when we confirmed the order in June, the remainder on September 6th after completing a walk through to review the work. At the time I was advised by the installer that because our house is older, the back door would need some time to “settle”.
Over the next few weeks we realized the door was pulling away from the wall and does not properly close or seal out air. We requested the All Weather Windows & Doors send someone to fix it. A serviceman named ****** arrived in about one week and informed us that the door had been installed improperly but he would “do his best” to fix it. It did not work and the door continued to deteriorate- the wood and receiver were showing wear because the only way to keep the door shut was to leverage off the deadbolt (lean on the door and force it to turn).
We contacted the company again and they dispatched the original installer, *****. He was defensive and confrontational and said there wasn’t much he could do but he informed us that he was a General Contractor so we could hire him to fix it?
On November 10 we issued an email to the salesperson that quoted the job and ran the purchase order, the install coordinator and all names available through the company website detailing our frustration entitled “Prompt Response Required”. We heard NOTHING. On November 23 I resent the same email to the same distribution list and received a one line reply from the salesman stating that the team had received our request and would “reach out to you soon”.
It is now the end of November. We have a door that doesn’t close and All Weather Windows & Doors has collected payment in full. We have been extremely patient through a process that started in May, including two changes of install dates and extremely poor customer service.
We would like our door fixed and functional.Business Response

In Dec 2019 we purchased a $3500.00 entry door and side light with install from All Weather Windows. They did not insulate it at the time of install, so we had frost on our tiles and enough ice build up on the door that we could not open it. The frost buildup caused damage to the frame of the door and window.
They sent someone out to insulate, but the ice build-up continued. After several attempts to contact the company, someone came out and put weather stripping on the door. Again, the same problem continued, they eventually repaired it with a thicker weather stripping, it still ices up. After repeated attempts to have it fixed ***** said he was going to have someone out to look at it again. The seal on the window portion is also broken and they finally ordered the glass in January 2022 after months of my emails and phone calls not being returned The glass was scheduled to be installed July 22. After my phone messages and emails went unanswered to confirm install I reached out leaving a message with the supervisor *****. Within 20 mins I received a call from ****** saying that the glass was on back order and they wouldn’t be coming two days later to install it. At that time I spoke to ****** again about the door repairs that hadn’t been done and she said ***** would call me in Aug. He called and came to look at the door, he said he would order a paint touch up and that the door need to be shimmed as the inside side locks no longer lineup. I didn’t hear from him so called him Oct 19, he said he would look into it and get back to me. I haven’t received a phone call, so left a message today. I would like the door repaired and window replaced at the company’s cost so that we can use it when it’s -25 which is something we haven’t been able to do since the install. I have tried unsuccessfully to contact several employees about this and no one will return my phone calls or answer my emails.Business Response
