    On April ****** I ordered a book from Peapil Publishing. It had additional offers. it said one was 6 dollars. So, I ordered them. Turns out the 6 dollar one was 37 dollars and the other one is *****. AND Id have to print them on my own computer.They say the website offer is clear.. It is not. This could have been on ********* I cancelled as soon as I saw they were ebooks. They said NO, you have to pay for them. I protest I Cancelled and return replied right away.Sneaky ********* It order ********* I havent paid I was billed.

    I ordered a recipe book from this company and they said **** had a dessert recipe book called Desserts on the Mediterranean (******** Friendly Desserts)...they did not mention it was an ebook. I cannot access an ebook on my phone and that is why I do not purchase them. Besides, I have to many eye issues and the book has to be right in front of me so I am free to access it. I requested a refund $8.95 and they refused saying I have the email. Which I do not. I cannot find their so called email. I want a refund that is all. They were wrong when they did not state it was an ebook. Had I known I would not have purchased it as I previously stated. Cunsumers should be alerted to this fact. There were all sorts of offers popping up and you had to click on No thank you not interested....when I clicked on this book there was nothing there that stated it had to be read over the net.

    Ordered a free book just shipping. $9.00 - charged *****. First charge I saw was for $37.00-emailed immediately and cancelled order. Two days later email received saying books downloaded and cant cancel order. The book was supposed to be mailed. I havent received book.

    I have copied this complaint from another complainant because it details the exact set of circumstances I experienced. *****************************************************************************************************************************This company uses deceitful practices in its online ordering system. They place a LOW price in very large bright print and then a very small note of "per book" in light print. If you click the link thinking you are adding on something for a nominal fee, it adds the book(s) to your order but there is no way to remove them from the cart once you notice the price is "per book." They offer no "review your order," nor do they offer a shopping cart from which unwanted items can be removed. They refuse to refund money even when a book has not been downloaded. I would like a refund of $49.84 for the books I did not want to order. I have not opened the email that was sent the instant I ordered my free book, nor have I downloaded anything - information that would be available from their ordering system.

    On my credit card statement there is a charge of $9.95 from Peapil Publishing for a diabetic cookbook, which I expected. Also on that date was a charge of $37.00, which I did not expect. I don't know what it is for, have tried reaching out to Peapil Publishing with no success. I don't know what the $37.00 is for and I want a credit to appear on my credit card. I did not authorize any charge except $9.95 charge. Thank you for your time and consideration.

    On August 26, 2023, I ordered a cookbook, *** ************* ******** from Peapil Publishing. The book was advertised as free with a payment of $9.95 for shipping and handling. While researching the book prior to ordering, I noticed that the company had several items available with similar offers. Therefore, before actually placing the order, I confirmed that I had specifically requested *** ************* ******* by doublechecking the title and cover photo. When I clicked to place the order, though, rather than transferring to a page to confirm the order, I was presented with numerous options to purchase additional items, one after another after another after another after another. I declined all of them. However, when I received the confirmation and shipping emails from Peapil, I discovered that the company had pulled a bait and switch and sent a different book, The Mediterranean Meal Plan. I contacted Peapil and they have refused to correct this unless I make an additional payment for shipping of the correct book. They also said that I must have accidentally clicked on the Mediterranean Meal Plan instead of *** ************* ******** which I know is not the case because, as I said, I knew there were several offers so I was careful to select the correct book.

    March 13, 2023 I ordered a free book from this company and at check out they kept advertising add-ons, like 12 of them, all prices that were very low from $6 to $12 or so. If you click one, you assume that is the price your are charged, but in reality, you don't know until the confirmation email and then the price is escalated to an ridiculous amount. I was charged an additional $37 for an ebook that is not what any of the descriptions matched or prices. I have email, reported and still no relief. I am wanting to just have that amount refunded. I paid $9.95 for my original purchase. After researching, I have found that this has happened to a number of people, as reading through the comments on their ******** page. I asked for an itemized list of these add-ons and prices, but no response.

    March 8, 2023. I was going to get a recipe book and only pay shipping and handling on it. As I was trying to get through the order process the company kept offering other items. I decided I didn't want to place an order and backed out of the webpage. I didn't confirm my order but they followed through with it anyway. I was charged $61.95. The purchase I didn't finish making was supposed to be $19.08. When I emailed them they told me that the webpage stated their would be a one time fee for some items, had I saw that I wouldn't have even looked at purchasing any products. They will not refund my money and have done nothing to try to resolve this. My order # is ********

    When I confirmed payment my total was $9. Hours after confirming received an email with material I did not select to re ***** and a charge of $47. I reached out to company and they declined to issue refund stating the purchase had been shipped and additional material (which I did not authorize) had been delivered via email.
