BOUGHT A MACBOOK AIR FROM BEST BUY IN 2019 OPEN BOX AS A 'NEW' COMPUTER. DISCUSSING THE ***** APP w APPLE CANADA RECENTLY THE CONSULTANT ADVISED ME MY MAC COULD NOT BE UPDATED ANYMORE, BUT THIS SHOULD NOT BE THE **** UNTIL 2026 0R MORE? THEN MY BATTERY WAS ALSO NEEDING REPLACING. APPLE BOOKED AN APPOINTMENT WITH LONDON DRUGS TO REPLACE THE BATTERY. IN THE MEAN TIME I WENT TO BEST BUY TO DISCUSS THE ** SITUATION- THE COMPUTER *** SAID MY MAC WAS A 2019 NOT 2017 & THAT APPLE BEGAN PRODUCING THE MACBOOK AIR IN 2017 BUT IT IS A 2019 MODEL. THIS WAS FALSE. HE ALSO SAID THE COMPUTERS ON THEIR SHELF MAY SAY ITS A 2O22 BUT ARE 2O24 MODELS. "Um no, that doesn't make sense." HE THEN DID SOME CHECKING ON MY MAC AND AGAIN CONFIRMED MY MAC IS A ************************************************** 2017, BUT IT "IS" A 2019. THE *** THEN SAID 'WHAT IS THAT YOU WANT ME TO DO FOR YOU? '"Well, you can't do anything now about updates; but I need to keep using it as I am organising *******++ images. I want you to replace the battery at no cost to me." THE *** SAID UNFORTUNATELY THIS BATTERY IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FROM APPLE. "Are you serious? That happened with my MacBook Pro. (purchased from Apple in 2012, the battery pooped out late 2019! ... 7yrs not 5 or 6yrs or 7yrs. 5 YEARS??!! and I am an infrequent user, not even everyday and short burst of use, not all day, or hours and hours. THEN THE *** SAID APPLE HAS REDUCED THEIR CARBON FOOTPRINT WITH NEW BATTERIES. THEY WILL NOT FIT IN YOUR LAPTOP BUT APPLE HAS AN OFFER TO REDUCE ANY NEW COMPUTER OF MY CHOICE BY $150 & REPEATING IT 2 X. I said I couldn't make the decision (yesterday) and left. So I called LONDON ************** Both said the battery is available and the ***** from Best Buy is "not a thing"SO... LONDON DRUGS IS REPLACING THE BATTERY AT THE C**T QUOTED BY APPLE. I will NEVER go into Best Buy ever again after their lying and misrepresentation of APPLE. I worry what else they are tell their costumers?? Shocking!!Best Buy Canada Ltd.

Their refurbished products are customer returns and demo units with no refurbishment done despite advertising as such. I was sent a broken charger with a MacBook covered in dirt and hair embedded inside the charger with a bent pin - it could have caused a fire had I not noticed it.Theyre completely apathetic and detached offering a coupon to shop with them again as the solution. Their practices are truly *** Marketplace Investigation worthy and Im going to bring it; this isnt a one off experience.Best Buy Canada Ltd.

I wouldn't give them even one star, I gave them $80.49 and received a digital program and didn't get a key # to open it, called the supplier and they sent me an invalid number that didn't work. There policy is s**** you, we got your money, thankyou, don't bother us!Best Buy Canada Ltd.

The financing company they use, ********* ... damn near almost ********. 31% interest ... if you do not pay off your term amount in full by the end of a term (IE. 12 months) you can expect to get dinged interest almost equivalent to your original purchase price. They're worse than loan sharks... and since ********* isn't easily distinguishable to complain against via BBB, BestBuy gets the complaint for supporting this financing racket. It's absolutely horrendous ... and disgusting. Cancelled my card with ********* immediately, and will start shopping elsewhere where ********* isn't accepted.Best Buy Canada Ltd.

I placed an order through Best Buy on April 1st for a ******* Note 10. The phone was a gift for my son but I found out on the same day his dad had already made another phone purchase. No problem I'll just cancel my purchase with Best Buy right? Nope wrong! I didn't realize the purchase was with a 3rd Party Seller GADGET ************ as it turns out you can't reach anyone at GADGET SOURCE. Your messages through Best Buy go unanswered. Surprise. I spoke to a Rep at Best Buy and was informed I needed to contact the Seller. Been there, done that. They aren't answering. My money is now in limbo. I cannot cancel the purchase through Best Buy, Seller, Pay Pal or my Bank. In order for that to happen the Seller GADGET SOURCE would have to initiate on their end. I feel robbed right now. I highly recommend not purchasing anything through Best Buy if you expect good ***************** They will not stand behind THEIR Market Place Sellers and you are left on your own to clean up any mess as a result.Best Buy Canada Ltd.

I am a born and raised ******** living in **** my whole life.I moved from the gulf island to the mainland for new opportunities and prospects.The last three times i went into best buy i felt i was being looked at. and talked about.When ask for help i am ignored. This seems to be with people from outside ******. It seems like its those from ***** heritage.I am not sure if this is some type of racism but i feel uncomfortable when shopping there.1 - March 10/2024 I went out to buy a Kalurik Air Fryer. The person who sold it to me was really nice. Helpful. But when i saw him going to grab it he was stopped by two people trying to tell him not to sell it to me.. These two were from ***** heritage..The guy told the two to leave him alone and sold it to me after.2- March 25/2024 I came in to buy headphones for my computer and the moment i stepped in i saw staff looking at me and talking.I took a bit but i got some help and bought what i wanted.3- March 31/ 2024 I came out to the store to pickup a 1tb ssd at around 2:00pm. When i went to the counter to pickup the item i purchased. I felt ignored. He said he would get someone to help me and walked away. found someone. Didn't get any information and went into the back.This was the one of the same persons i saw before trying to stop a person who was trying to sell me a product. he had ***** heritage.I am not sure if this is some weird social media thing or racist thing but i would like to go in shopping feeling safe.Best Buy Canada Ltd.

Purchased Turbo Tax on Feb. 21, 2024. Was notify that I would get an email within a few days to download the program. Nothing was received. Called many times for an update and was repeatedly told to check my spam email which I did. Still nothing. Was sent over to escalations with promises of someone would call me back, never received a call. Since I needed to get my taxes completed I requested a return for the item that I never received and ordered from Amazon, which I was able to download that same day. No return as yet, their policy is that a downloaded item is not refundable which I understand, but I never received the download, until today, 1 month later. I have since completed my taxes with the program from Amazon and have NOT downloaded anything from Best Buy. Very very poor customer service, do not know how a company can take someones money and not deliver the goods. Very very disappointed with Best Buys customer service since in the past year I have spent over $5000 with them for applicances and computer products and never had a problem.Best Buy Canada Ltd.

Best Buy ******* Geek Squad is extremely talented and professional. However, when they double-billed me for the service it took 2 hours, 5 associates, 4 different phone numbers, and a form that was required to ensure that the double billing error (which they referred to as a "Customer Return") was initiated. I was informed the return of $200 would take up to 10 business days. I was told it was not possible to speak with a supervisor, I was hung up on by one of the advisors when I asked her name and I was told "It's not my problem that you were on hold already for an hour and a half." The business has no process for billing inquiries and no direct number. The support staff have no customer service training, the phone numbers and transfers to other departments are circular and the staff are rude and condescending. Not once did an advisor admit they made an error. This company is on borrowed time.Best Buy Canada Ltd.

Be careful ordering online from Best Buy as your order will likely be canceled. In March 2024, we bought e-bikes from their websidte as the price was good. 24 hours later, we get an email saying "order canceled".They claim "payment security issue" even though there is no such thing, as we use our credit card regularly and called the bank to verify. The customer agent assures that the email must be fraud as the tracking number for the order still shows the bike as "in transit". I signed up for text updates, never received them. The next day the package arrives a weekday at 10AM, i am not home as never received an update and last i heard it was possibly canceled. Purolator leaves a ticket to pick up the package the next day at 8AM at their wharehouse. 1 hour later i get a text saying i have a new tracking number and the package is going back to the Best Buy wharehouse! I call purolator, they received instructions to "recall the bike"- I call best buy customer serice, they have no idea what happened. Please order another. Hoping its an error i waste more time the next day and go to the purolator wharehouse - no bike, it was sent back per Best Buy instructions. I make a complaint. No one can explain why the order was canceled. The next day I decide to place another order. No sign of shipment, the order is canceled again. I call best buy- "payment error". But there is no payment error. They are just a MESS!. They tell me they use an automated system that could detect inconsistencies in payment methods so randomly your order could be canceled. OR you know, told its canceled, but then its delievered and then canceled but you could be told to go get it anyway. What a complete WASTE OF TIME. TERRIBLE BUSINESS. YOU SHOULD STICK TO IN PERSON SALES AS ONLINE ORDERS ARE CLEARLY BEYOND YOUBest Buy Canada Ltd.

There should have been a note left so you can pick up from the respective station and if it is not picked up in 5 business days, carrier would return it back to the depot., unless advised to return it sooner. We noted an update in tracking number which usually happens according to the area boundaries and will investigate why it was returned to the depot. A full refund was issued on March 8, which you will see on your method of payment in 3-5 business days from process. As for the ** Order, the tracking number is not showing any movement for which I have forwarded this inquiry to our Marketplace Support Team to look into and update you accordingly.
