The process, including the creation of the OCI booklet, progressed smoothly and it was ready for dispatch from India. I opted for postal service and paid the associated fees. Due to a permanent address change from ******** ****** ****** ******** in Hamilton to ******* *** ****** ** ********* ******, I contacted BLS International on December 18th, 2024, at 2:51 pm (phone number ************) from my phone number ********** ( you can verify if you have call recordings) to update my address. A representative confirmed the address change. I traveled to India between December 26th, 2024, and January 29th, 2025, utilizing an e-Visa. Upon my return, I discovered that my OCI had been delivered to my previous address without notification. Neither I nor my family members reside there. I am perplexed as to why it was delivered to the old address, especially considering the address change on December 18th, 2024. Despite contacting my old apartment and checking with *********, the package, supposedly signed for by ******* (myself), appears to have been delivered ************. I am deeply disappointed with the service provided. I kindly request an investigation into this matter and the issuance of a new OCI card, as the error appears to stem from an oversight by your call center representative. It has been 5 months now, I haven't got any reliable answer from bls. They are ***** that the package was dispatched before the address change, which is clearly a lie. The rep who spoke to me over phone when I changed address, he never told me it was dispatched, secondly he assured me of the address change, it is not possible that OCI card is made in 15 days. They are ****** clearly ***** and don't want to send me the replacement.

      I am rejecting this response because: They keep on saying same things as before. They argue that the parcel was received by me on 8th January 2025, which is impossible. I was not even present in Canada on 8th Jan 2025. I left for my parent country on 26th Dec 2024 to see my **** *** ***** *** ****** ******t. I came back to Canada on 29th January 2025. Moreover, I changed address on 17th Dec 2024, by calling their customer care to which I got response that address has successfully been changed. I have stamped passport as a proof that I was not present in Canada at that time. Attached is my proof of calling them on 18th December 2024 at 2:51 pm to change my address.

      BLS sent the return-shipment via **********They did not share any tracking no. with me.********* failed to deliver this package and they sent it back to BLS. ********* is saying that its Sender's responsibility to share the shipping details (tracking no.) with the receiver. They share the whereabouts of the package on their website only, where the shipment is tracked using a Tracking Number. And, *** is saying that we sent it to your address, ********* was unable to deliver, so they sent back. and Now, its my problem to get it delivered again.*** has been unable to admit that they MISSED on sharing the tracking number of the shipment which led to lack of transparency over whereabouts of the shipment.

      BLS sent a courier to me with my documents. They FAILED to inform me about this mail by sharing the Tracking ID with me.

      The courier company is not responsible for sharing the tracking id with me, because I am the receiver for them. *************** gave the Tracking ID to BLS.

      BLS was supposed to give me that tracking id. just the way they gave me tracking id at time of sending these documents to them.

      How was I supposed to know that *** has sent my documents? 

       

      PS: *************** is very clear on their policy that they are responsible to update the whereabouts of the package on the website. And, this status can be seen through Tracking ID given to the Sender.

      Date: 2025-05-12 I applied for a *** police record. Printed and submitted all required forms. I paid $80 for the application, went to ********** to submit the application and they accepted it and said everything seem correct and charged me $80. I got a call from them today 2025-05-13, they told my that my application is wrong and is rejected. I asked told then when i submitted my application the *** agent told me everything is correct and asked me to pay $80. Now ********** wants me to submit the same application again and wants me to pay for it again. I told them i already paid for the first application and it is the companies responsibility to check everything before asking me to pay.I want a refund and want my application as soon as possible.       I have requested BLS International Services to renew my passport.
      I submitted the online application on Jan 23rd 2025 and sent the copy with all the required documents as requested. I haven't changed my address and added the EXACT SAME ADDRESS on my previous passport. I added the same address on the online application form and all my documents states that I did not change anything.

      On February 19th, they sent my passport with typographical error on my address. When I asked to get it rectified, they asked to resubmit the application, go through the entire process and pay the fees and courier charges again (Almost 260$ CAD).

      I submitted the application in December 2024 and it was returned due to some documentation issues. This time, they confirmed that everything else is absolutely correct and sent the file to Consulate General of India (Toronto) for processing. My TRV is expiring and I need to renew it on my new passport. Also, they cancelled my old passport and I cannot travel in case of an emergency now. I have been conned as they left me no choice, but to pay the money again. I have already lost $500 CAD for passport and still counting.

      When I try to contact BLS International Call centre, every employee gives a different answer and transfer my calls unnecessarily and disconnect sometimes too. I have called more than 10 times to their call centre by now. This is very poor service and is giving me a mental breakdown.

      They also charge extravagantly for the courier. Usually, Purolator takes almost $20 to send the same size and weight documents to BLS, but BLS International Services charge $70 for pick-up and return each which is another *****.

      I wanted to renew my parents passport as they are in Canada and this is the ollnly option they have to renew passport. It's been over 6 months we are struggling but BLS is ********* us. We started the process almost 4 to 5 months ago and that time their passports were not expired. We were under the impression that we will get the new passports on time. But everytime they send the whole application back and says that we need to provide more information. They sent the whole application back and stated that we need to give indian phone no. Instead of Canadian phone no. We said they are in Canada for last 3 years and how it's feasible for anyone to have indian no. For so long. Everything they send the application back with a new reason. Sometime they say the address is wrong and when we corrected and sent it back to them and then the next time they said the address is not matching on passport and adhar card. **** *** **** ***** ** ****** ******** ** ******* *** *** ******* *** ***** ** ****** *** ******** ***** ****** ******* ***** ** *** ****** ******* ** **** **** ******* ** **** **** *** *** **** ******* They have spent almost 800 dollars on this even though the fees for the renewal of passport is 105 dollars. We want to file a complaint against this business as they are ********* people who is going there for their passport renewals.

      BLS International Services Canada is the only partner of Consulate General of India ******************************* in Canada. They are using their monopoly power to extort money from Canadians who apply for services offered by the Consulate General of India.

      - BLS International Services Canada charge the consumers arbitrary fees that are not mentioned in the Consular website.
      - Claiming the application has "mistakes" without any proof and fearmonger the consumer that the application will be rejected by the consular and ask you to opt-in for their "Premium Lounge Services" which costs 100$ more. If you ask for proof that you made a mistake, they are asking security to escort you out for "misbehaving" (ex: asking questions)
      (BLS International Services Canada has no right to refuse/approve consumer applications)
      - BLS International Services Canada ****** you to opt-in for their "express mail delivery" (costs 62$) and they do not mention to the consumers about other options (ex: pickup at the location which is free rather than delivery)
      - BLS International Services Canada does not have enough free appointments for Consular services and they have appointments for their "Premium Lounge Services" which costs 100$ more.
      - They characterize the consumer as "misbehaving", having "attitude" etc., if you ask questions and ask the consumer to come another day (appointment availability is not adequate and you may have to wait months before the next appointment or you have to opt-in to their "Premium Lounge Services")

      I am writing to complain about BLS service centre in Brampton. I went there on Feb 12 (yesterday) to surrender my ****** passport. They charged me $230.40 but on their website it’s $123.70. Also I read reviews on BLS ****** page and it seems they are charging extra $100 to everyone for no relevant reason. It’s not a fair practice going on at this centre. The customer service is the worst service I’ve ever seen. The representative was very rude when I asked why $100 is charged. I want to request that these hidden charges should be mentioned on website to maintain transparency and also I recommend to implement a survey system to rate customer service. I did complain on their website but there is no response that’s why sending this email. (Ref no. **-**********)

      Hi,

      Me and my husband applied for surrender of our Indian passport application in June, 2023. We have made multiple calls to BLS regarding not receiving the surrender certificates but everytime we speak to an agent they assure us that our certificates will be shipped in 24-48 hours and everytime we call they say it hasn’t been shipped yet. They always tell us lies and last time I spoke to an agent last week and he said his supervisor spoke to someone in Brampton centre and our certificate will be shipped on Tuesday Jan 16, 2023 and ask me to call after 3/30pm to get tracking number. I called at 5 pm and the agent I spoke to said the same thing its not dispatched yet and will be sent out in 24 hours. I would almost be a year since we applied and without that we cannot go to India where my parents live and its an emergency for me to go there.

      Please I would be grateful if an action can be taken against this business and this issue is resolved.

      Please note that the below that occurred at BLS Brampton on 7th December 2023. This was my second visit after I made the necessary corrections pointed out at my first visit. I was wrongly advised and forced to take 2 photographs. I had photographs that met the requirements and the centre insisted they cannot accept it as there was no date on the back. Neither the website nor the checklists mention the requirement of a date. I also had an additional photo with a date stamped on the back, but was ******* into taking 2 photographs and charged $30 for this. The photographs taken were no different from the ones i provided. The fees for the surrender application are $129.40 but I was charged $180.10. When I asked the agent why?, I was told these are standard additional fees required to print the surrender certificate. One receipt shows PP Print fee. I told the agent that I did not print anything nor photocopy anything at the centre. She told me that this a fee charged by back office, for printing the surrender certificate. This is a *** as there is more fee other than $129 as confirmed by the ****** ********* in Toronto. Please note that I have been charged an excess of $50 which is unjustified. I did NOT avail of any service at the centre besides being ******* into taking an unnecessary photograph. I request an immediate refund for these ******* charges. Please refund $50.00 ASAP.
